HMS Warrior, A quick tour in Portsmouth and why you should Go!

HMS Warrior is a 40-gun steam-powered Battleship and was the first of the armour-plated, iron-hulled warships Built for the Royal Navy in 1859 the class was know as the Iron Clads.
The ship never fought a battle, but some say that was because others would not take on its considerable fire power.

That was very interesting to say the least. I can't believe the size of the guns and the length plus breath of the ship. The real surprise was the steam engines. I thought it was a sailing ship. Great video, Jersey Bill

The transition from sail to steam.
I watched a documentary on her a year ago.
Funny, I walked past her in 1990 when I was there, but never went on board, because the HMS Victory was beside her and a bigger attraction at the time.
Oh well.
