- Hey guys! Today I am going to try the newest (kind of. 6 months is new for me lol) art trend! Its called reverse coloring and basically its a book that you can buy with the color already inside of it. All you have to do is add the lines.

Hey! my name is Moriah (pronounced muh-rye-yuh 😂 ) and this is my channel....obviously. I'm 28 and like doing anything creative...and being snarky.....just a lil. I make a lot of decorating, painting and general art videos here. I'm obsessed with editing and adding lil bits to my videos, so if that's not your thing....oof you may hate this haha. I paint on squishies, thrift store finds, and other random things I pick up. I also love to draw, but don't expect anything too skilled, I'm not the best at that haha. You will also find occasional crafting/testing crafting kits on my channel which are always a hot mess. And even some baking (REALLY bad at that, but it's fun to try).

A art trend that you should try in maybe like 7 months is “Get a thrift store painting and paint a little ghost in the painting” it’s really fun! And you can get as creative as you want with adding ghosts! You can also add pumkins, ducklings, bushes, cats, and many more!

Thank you for trying out my book! Your drawings were so cute! There are no rules at all- you could cover the entire page with color and make it something different. ❤️ The pages are like a first layer- a mere suggestion to anything that comes from them. And you don’t even have to make actual objects- you could just trace or draw lines or make patterns as like a meditation.
All that to say, it’s meant to spark creativity or mindfulness or as an exercise in letting go. And it’s not for everyone and I’m so happy you tried. Thank you, have the best day! 🩷🩷
i love things like that! i get art blocks all the time and need something to turn my creativity on. but i get how other people need a lot of freedom. but me? i would love it.

I really really thought your book was a super creative idea and not something that's already been done a million times and in a million different variations. You def earned extra bonus points with me for your creativity and not following the crowd. Im a lil like Moriah and I feel like my brain would explode trying to come up with something because my brain just isn't smart with coming up with original concepts. I need inspiration and then I can make something completely different than the inspo but I need something to get me started. Even just a prompt like if on the back of the page it gave some prompt suggestions. Like the page she did it could say sky scrapers, fruit and whatever else lol. As you can see I'm having a major block just trying to come up with prompts she didn't use 😂😂😂. I've always been this way and it drives me crazy. I wish I could visualize things but I absolutely can't unless I see something or hear an idea. Like I said if I'm just given an idea I can literally turn it into something completely different but I just need a starting point. It would be so cool if you ever decide to create another one if you added prompt suggestions for each page. Very well done though chicka and there's tons of people who actually can just visualize an idea based on your watercolor so it's Def a home run idea. ❤❤❤

I'm tired of her always trying to force her characters (especially the trio) into so many different works of art. I am in love with her radiant personality tho and squishy makeovers (duh)

I've never added a comment before. My 12 year old daughter and I started watching you a couple years back and we really enjoy watching. You are fun to watch and we really enjoy your creations. We are both artists and we enjoy watching other artists create. We want to say thanks for entertaining us and giving us something fun to enjoy together. I’d honestly kinda like to see what Mini-Me would do with one of those pages. Let her pick one she likes and just draw on it. Her creativity might be different than yours, Moriah. It’d be cute if nothing else. Just an idea!

Oh my gosh I just had the best idea: Moriah should start her own children's book! She already has experience making art books, and she is so good at coming up with fun characters and their backrounds. She could illustrate them too, obviously.

Honestly I kind of want to see more realistic like scenery from moriah with her own twist. I thought the mountains with the trees was pretty. It would be cool to see like a fantasy forest like scenery with a bunch of her characters scattered around the place
straight lines can be pretty easy to learn if you learn a method, but I just wanna say that the style of messy lines with the colouring not fully contained by the lines is a really good style, and thats a really good city
Moriah should make a halloween costume video, where she dresses up as one of her characters for Halloween 🎃

Art trends I've seen recently: creating cartoons with Instagram gifs, diorama art, resin art, adding real elements to paintings such as rocks and twigs, 3d paintings: like trees and flowers and vines made from paint, string art.
MORIAH YIU SHOULD START A SERIES OF DRAWING YOUR CHARACTERS AS HUMANS!!! (Also I’m drawing them all as humans aswell can I send then to you? I’ll put ‘Erin’ on the box so you’ll know!)

My grandma taught this method of doing blobs of colourful watercolour and then lining them after. I feel like the fun part is the colouring too, so this book is just taking it out 😂 but I guess finding shapes and concepts in anstractness can be a hood exercise when you have an art block. Making it one specific style is hard, so definitely I’d say you’d try with your own colour scheme and watercolours ahain.

When I was in primary school, the teacher told us to put some watercolor blobs on a paper and then fold it in two. After unfolding, we were told to complete the drawings based on the shapes that resulted from folding the paper

6:40 With the rest of the pages, you can use it as wrapping paper for small gifts. The pretty watercolor would make a nice cover.

I love the reverse coloring book idea! A way I doodle at school is to create a bunch of blobs and scribbles on a pieces of paper, color them in and then figure out what they look like and do line art

Getting out of the comfort zone is the point, I think… yah? And those berries are freaking adorable & you made the city looking page come to life… other’s I’ve seen turned it into a dystopian hell scape. You might have more fun having MiniMe paint some with a color palette of your choosing. A collaborate art project, for just you two. No need to film it, but it might feel less like a chore & more freeing.

Moriah, for your next baking excursion, have you thought of an immersion blender for the frosting? I had never heard of it before, but it seems to work, to make the colours more saturated.

You have to do the ghost painting trend.
You go to a store and buy a random painting. Soon add different ghosts doing random stuff such as mowing the lawn, walking a ghost dog, climbing a tree, and more.

Another idea is to have mini me draw anything, then cut or rip it in half. Then try drawing the other half of it and see how it turns out.
Also I’ve been inspired by your art for a long time, I was four or five when I started watching your videos and I’m almost 11.

Can you please do a series on making things based on Nahfaluafagus(I can almost assure you that I typed that wrong) It's the perfect series for you to make up little stories on all those things, and maybe you can even pretend you found it and is researching it, instead of painting it and making a bunch of random things up!
You could always raffle off the book with your art work and donate the proceeds to a baby charity something geared towards newborns since you have one and even a $1a ticket could do some could for a charity!!❤

I understand what you meant about the book. I feel like to book would constrict me in my creativity and when I do art, I can't feel constricted or I just can't work. That's why I hate things like paint by numbers....

Moriah I LOVED what you came up with!! You may not have loved this trend but I honestly think you did better than a lot of other people I’ve seen so this trend because you kept it so simple and light and were realistic about struggling with creativity, which I think helps people who are just starting out in art a more realistic and hopeful approach to things like this!

I really liked how you used colour as well, I think that’s one of the best ways to do these! You should have just let yourself be more free with it but activity book style things can also be constraining
