I really like the dies that I've purchased from Aliexpress, and I'll continue buying these dies at great prices. The dies here in the US are so expensive that I can only purchase a few at a time. It would be great for us crafters if the US companies would bring their prices down to make it reasonable for us to purchase and we wouldn't have to purchase them from China. No shipping from China is an added bonus too.
I’ve been purchasing from Ali Express through their App for over a year and love it! Each store sets its own price so it pays to shop for the lowest price for every item. I also only buy from stores that offer free shipping. I’ve received items as fast as 10 days or as slow as 30 days. Every purchase is different. Imo American stamp & die companies are being greedy by setting their prices high. I saw a die set I liked and when I looked up where to purchase it was $37! That’s outrageous! Then I went to Ali Express and the same die set was under $4.
Hi there :-). Do you think free shipping actually exists (like a 'free' lunch) or is free shipping then incorporated into a more expensive item? I think this is what I have noticed.
Good point....Canada can take longer, but I agree that the savings are probably worth it. Especially for items that you will keep a long time and not urgently need. TFS, Amanda
I'm in Ontario and I did receive some items 4-5 weeks before the given ETA, some others were a week late... I guess it all depends on the vendor and the way they shipped the product, well products in my case.
I put my dies on magnetic sheets ordered off Amazon. It works very well for holding dies in place and for organizing storage of dies. Graduated dies especially and the ones with teeny tiny components all stay together. I also have bags I ordered from Amazon to put them in cause if you bend the magnetic sheet they will pop off. The magnetic sheet comes with adhesive backing so will put to heavy card stock at some point which will have the added benefit of giving me a place to write which project I used a particular die on on what date on the back of it. Just a thought or two .. hope it helps.
Thank you, Luanna. I've been trying to decide how to organize them. I'll have a look at the magnetic sheets because I think they could help a lot. TFS, Amanda
Thanks for taking the time to show us your haul. When you're cutting the skull, as well as the tips below, you can try cutting it near the edge of the plate rather than in the middle, there is more pressure there. Also, when a die has a straight line, it's useful to angle it point on, as the roller can hit the straight edge and skip.
Thanks for the tip. I have been buying these dies from ebay. ( Do a search of - DIY cutting dies) I think AliExpress may just have better prices. I have no complaints about these dies. Some are very close to those that Sue Wilson is showing. But for under $5.00
Yeah, I was also checking on Amazon, and I found some of the same dies as what I purchased from AliExpress. The prices were a little bit higher on some, and then others were .01 but had $2.99 shipping and did not combine shipping. But, it is an option for those who cannot buy from AliExpress too. TFS, Amanda
I cannot get AliExpress dies to cut clean on my cuddlebug. I am new at scrap booking so do u have hints? I get partial cut outs but not complete cut outs
Linda Parker Hi Linda....I have had that issue too, and I have found that the suggestions from others to add a shim works very well. I also am meaning to get a metal plate but haven’t yet. Thanks, Amanda
Hi Linda Parker, a cuddlebug is what I have and love it. I just had to play with the order of the cutting plates and added a shim. So my cutting plate order is. The white base plate A then a shim the thickness of a cereal box, then the thicker C plate then the die, cut edge facing up, paper on top of the face up die then the B plate over the paper. I try to lay my dies on an angle because straight across like a square die for example makes a heck of a thunk getting started and finishing. A lot of times I will tape the paper on to the die just in case I have to run it through again, that way the paper stays put. If you feel it needs to run through again because it did cut all the way through rotate the die and paper together so I goes in at a different angle and try again. I use my cuddle bug 99 % of the time and have had little trouble since rearranging the cutting plate order. Hope this helps you. Cathy
Well what can I say fandabbydosy brilliant dies and stamps, this is the first time i have been onn youtube and im glad i did I will start getting some of your dies and thankyou for showing me how to use the spiral flower dies keep up the good work👍👍
Welcome to the wide world of UA-cam! You will love it! When I first started, it became a true addiction. I hope you find some dies that you really enjoy! TFS, Amanda
Many thanks for showing us your haul. We share similar interests, I see. Do you have a link to that beautiful Mardi Gras mask? I had difficulty finding it. Regards.
Barbara Burgdorff Hi Barbara! I will see if the mask is still available and give the link or at least the title of the listing for you. Thanks so much for watching! Amanda
Great haul. BTW, you can put that bad skull cut back in the die & run it thru again. If your cutting pads are warped, you need to secure the paper in the die with a "sticky note." It either works or comes out shredded. On dies with consistently problemmatic areas, I place tape on the bad area on the back of the die to act as a shim. There's another skull die with 2 pieces that I think is much prettier (amaze hone $2.22). I have both of them.
Thank you! I will give that a try and I will also check out the other skull you're recommending. I don't think my cutting pads are warped, but I'll double check. TFS, Amanda
Sizzix's cutting pads aren't the same quality they were 3 years ago. Mine can't start "arcing" the 1st month. I emboss all my cuts so when you flip the sandwich over to emboss with the paper up, the paper often falls out of the die. I'm very frustrated with Sizzix lately.
I have complained REPEATEDLY. They used to have the best CS on the planet but I became irritated with them when they discontinued the standard platform for that extended one that takes up a mile of desk space. Since their machine ALREADY takes up the most workspace of any diecutter on the market, adding that clumsy long platform seemed ridiculous. Stacey @ Scrapbooking Made Simple finally got them to reissue the original platforms. Then they changed to plates to bevel the ends of the cutting pads & they not only reduce cutting area but are of a much lower quality and wear out & warp in a very short time.
A cut up plastic grocery bag works for dies that have intricate parts. Some people say wax paper is bad for dies...I have no idea. I do know I cut up several grocery bags to the size of my plate and keep them handy. A shim, by adding a piece of paper between the sandwich...usually on the top then top plate for my style. I cut down. I have found old magazines can work. I chop out a few pages and add a few until I get the right cut. Then, I make a note of what I do and keep it with the die...easy. We got some of the same dies. Now.... I need a mermaid stamp. Argh 😤. Never ending. 😂
That is a really good idea! I never thought of that. I wonder if parchment paper would work as an alternative to wax paper, because there would be no waxy residue. Just thinking out loud. TFS, Amanda
Thank you so much for sharing these dies with us...... I really love 💕 them all. And I totally agree with the comment that said, if these other companies were to charge a sensible price, then we wouldn’t be tempted by AliExpress dies......I’ve subscribed too.

Well, I found it by I have to say, they don't make it easy to find something I'll probably NEVER find the shell border. But thanks for giving me a hand.
These dies came from multiple sellers, and the prices fluctuate from seller to seller, day to day. If you go to Ali Express, search for metal dies, and you will get a lot of results. Some dies will be cheaper at one shop than another, and I always picked the lowest one. Good luck! TFS, Amanda
Scrappy: I've been buying TOO many dies for the last 8 months. I've found that the new dies coming out now are much better than ones I bought earlier. I search "metal cutting dies" and then from the SORT BY dropdown I choose "NEWEST." When you find sellers whose dies/prices you like, save them to favorite sellers. TopTop & Long Han are 2 sellers that seem to have the newest dies fastest but also have a large selection of the older ones. Unfortunately you can't find sellers by name. YT SheShe & Faithful Designs also do "AliExpress Craft Haul" videos & post links to the dies they showcase.
Oh, I have! I have a video of my last haul of washi tape from May ua-cam.com/video/aPzv160xzT0/v-deo.html I love buying washi from AliExpress too. TFS, Amanda
i buy stamps and things from aliexpress and have never had an issue. just like ebay.... there are good and bad sellers. does take a while for shipping so prepare for that. otherwise, ive been happy so far.
Hello flower, i came across your video by chance but what a lucky chance it was. I have found 23 dies that i do not have of Sue Wilsons on AliExpress's site and they are dearest a fifth of the price. Fair enough they are the newest ones but i don't care, they are ones that i have had on my wish list for a long time and i just wanted to say thank you flower for showing us your great bargains, love from Scotland. x
I have a video on some baby shaker cards that I made last year, but I am also working on a baby mini album that uses a lot of the dies that I got here. I will be sharing it soon, so stay tuned! TFS, Amanda
intricate dies need the precision base plate. I put off buying it, thinking I didn't need it , but I finally caved and am not one bit sorry. It makes a big difference.
Hi, thank you for sharing , you got some lovely dies at a very good price. in Canada it would have cost well over 100 dollars easy. What is Aliexpress? we are so backward in this country all the good things, it seems come from the usa i apreciated your video 😊😊😊
Michelle Regis Thank you, Michelle! AliExpress.com is a website that ships items from China at really cheap prices. I have heard others from Canada purchase from there too, but it could take about two months to get to you....depending on where you live. TFS, Amanda
I don't use PayPal when I purchase from AliExpress. I use a credit card, and if I have any issues, I have protection from my credit card bank. I've also never had any issues with purchases from AliExpress. TFS, Amanda
Yes, and if I remember correctly, when I check out, it's very secure and the sellers rely on good customer feedback which makes them want to make you happy. :) Amanda
I opened an account with no "bounce" protection and keep a minimal amount of money in it. That way if anybody tries to buy expensive items on my account their orders will be rejected instead of drawing money out of other accounts to facilitate them. PayPal will not do business with AliExpress due to the horrendous amount of disputes they generate. There are 10,000s of online complaints about getting ripped off on Ali Express whose "buyer protection" is a total scam. I think every seller on eBay requires PayPal. So on eBay you not only have AUTHENTIC protection from eBay but also from PayPal. And you can actually CALL eBay. On Ali you only have the option of "chatting" with untrained reps who waste endless hours in indecipherable pidgin English smalltalk, warm & fuzzy endearments, asking the same questions repeatedly & requesting screenshots that the Ali netword always rejects, & this in 150-character segments. THERE IS NO HELP WHATSOEVER ON ALIEXPRESS BECAUSE IF YOU CAN EVEN REACH MANAGEMENT, THEY ARE MORE INCOMPETENT THAN THE CUSTOMER DISSERVICE REPS. I repeatedly had nondelivery of orders an "INVALID" reason for a refund.
I have ordered a number of dies and am waiting patiently for them to arrive. For the price I don't mind waiting a little extra while to get them. There are so many items that are now FREE just pay shipping.
coopie624 hi I've tried the ink they are ok the only one I've had issues with is the pink it won't dry unless you heat set it so I do it with all of them .
You got some good dies and I will be checking AliExpress out. Have you checked out Wish? I've got some of my dies from Wish. The only thing I don't like about Wish is you also have to wait.
I have purchased a bracelet from Wish, and I was looking at washi tape there, but I haven't looked for the dies. I'll have to have a look. Thanks! Amanda
Eileen (Schuller): I actually think you are MORE safe paying with your credit card. Banks have knowledge of frauds and suspect merchants and where there is a problem are the best way of solving the problem, if one should arise. I agree, they copy designs, BUT I get annoyed at being 'held to ransome' over prices, especially for the most part crafters are not making acceptable capital with their projects. I have heard of thouands being spent on products (it is addictive isn't it?) but whether any of this is recaptured is another matter.
Lisa Miller They are from multiple companies if you search on AliExpress.com. Are you looking to reproduce or resell the dies? I have not seen anything yet that resembles designer dies, but if you are reselling, that might be a concern. TFS, Amanda
Of course Jennifer will say that. She represents the American craft industry and gets most of their products free to advertise ... and of course she is doing a very good job and inspire lots of people to do more creative work, It is just that many people can not afford them ! If Ali baba offers affordable copies because they can, don't get into that quilt trip please. It is how the art/craft world is involving for years and how people who can not afford to buy an original keep their creativity flow ! Even the artists who work for companies in the industry copy and borrow ideas ! Have a good day.
There seems to be quite a discussion on buying dies from Aliexpress. I see a lot dies there that are pretty much generic. Like others have said you can pretty tell which may be Big brand dies, if you are familiar with their dies. For many, this is the only way that they can purchase dies because the name brand dies are very expensive. I would say stay away from dies that are identical to the name brand dies, all Disney character dies, or any other obviously well known character dies.
Hi there! I think you are right....stay away from anything that is obvious, for sure. I saw two dies that were dead ringers for Tim Holtz Halloween dies, and I did not buy them. I didn't want to take a chance on getting shut down. I think that when companies have their dies made in China, there is a risk that they will be copied, and there is no way to enforce any trademark or copyright outside of the USA. But, honestly, that is not the fault of the buyer. It is not illegal to purchase from AliExpress. If it was , I wouldn't do it, and I know that others wouldn't, as well. I truly believe that when people purchase from AliExpress, they are not trying to hurt anyone. They are being savvy shoppers, and as you say, some people can't afford to buy the expensive dies. TFS, Amanda
I agree. These name brand companies have their dies or anything else they sell, made in China, they certainly do not manufacturer them here, but wouldn't be nice if they did, but then the U.S makes it too expensive, to make things here, but that is another conversation, lol. When these companies started having there products manufactured overseas, there wasn't places like Aliexpress selling low cost goods, from China manufactures , so there wasn't any or next to any competition. Now there is, and it isn't illegal to buy from Aliexpress. I guess all we can do is just buy generic. Perhaps if these big name brands would start telling their manufactures that they will withdraw their business, if they notice that these Chinese Manufacturers are reproducing their product, but it doesn't look like that has happened yet. I would say that if you are buying dies, to make things to sell, then it would be prudent not to buy dies that are recognizable, as a name brand die. You can make wonderful items, with generic dies.
Hi... I use Aliexpress.com and most items are in English, even though the grammar can be incorrect sometimes. Google also offers to translate if you use Google Chrome. TFS, Amanda
After following some links on UA-cam videos by crafters from other countries, my account has reverted to that foreign language. There are some links at the top of Ali's home page you can choose to change back to english. I can't remember which one it is; maybe it's "ship to USA" . Or maybe you have to hit the Ali Express logo to het to the home page to find the right link.
I haven't bought a lot of the "unbranded" stamps but I've found the ones I have bought are actually better than many of the "branded" stamps from the Big Boy syndicates. I bought some great stamps from Cute Die Explosions and I recently got all 5 flower layering stamps for $1.13 ea. from Beauty & Good.
The stamps I've bought on eBay & Ali have usually been better than the "branded" stamps I've bought from the big box stores. They take ink readily without having to use an emory board or pink pearl eraser on them. They've all come off the backing easilly, while the "branded" ones seemed old & dried out & are a real struggle to get off the backing. Ali's "BEAUTY & GOOD" ( GOOGLE: yuguo.aliexpress.com/store/727716?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.7eVCYU ) always seems to have the lowest prices, often close to $1 less.
They do copy designs, however, if these designers would sell at a reasonable price we would not have to go to China to be able to afford beautiful dies. I am not suggesting selling as cheap as China. Just a reasonable rate of profit.
It is hard to build a collection when retail of each set is $15-20 or even higher. And, I haven't found the intricate designs that I would buy from a designer....but, I think it's only a matter of time. TFS, Amanda
And finally, just be cautious: whether it be Wish or AliExpress: FREE means the postage increases and also 40 items (or whatever amount) equals about $80 in postage. Makes you wonder.....do you think?
That's a very good point, and I would hate to take anything away from you or other designers like Tim Holtz or even Sizzix. I buy dies and washi tape from Ali Express, but I also buy them from other suppliers and designers too. For instance, I'm currently preparing a video using the Sizzix Happy Birthday folding card design that I purchased at the Simon Says Stamp Pop-up sale in Columbus, Ohio. I like to spread the wealth, so to speak! :) BTW, LOVE your videos! TFS, Amanda
I was curious and checked out the site, definitely some MFT and Lawn Fawn copies among others. Also worried about what materials they use and is it safe to be handled, you just never know . . .
Yes, they do. And it is easy because they are often the ones producing for the big brands in the western world. I always buy on sale and retiring items when it comes to cutting dies, because I'm lucky enough to own a Silhouette and using cutting dies is just a quick solution for extra paper. But I do buy from Aliexpress when I find something that doesn't seem to be available from any other source known to me. Same goes for stamps. If I recognize a motif as one of the brands I'm following, I will not buy it. But often, motifs will be only "quite like ...", not an exact copy. That's copying life then, not an artist.
Jennifer McGuire How do we know which are stolen ? Most crafters don't want to steal from designers. The prices are amazing and of course that is appealing. Crafting is expensive. Also they have designs that I've never seen other places.
I can tell which ones are like ones from big companies. If you are familiar with a brand, you'd know automatically which ones are from which companies. They also steal stuff from Etsy sellers too.
Such nice dies! I have never ordered from Ali Express, but I'm glad to know now. I particularly liked the sea shells, starfish etc. Thank u for sharing this company. Check out #CommentKindnessCampaign you will like it!
You would think with dies in particular, but all crafting supplies, that competition would encourage varying prices. However, despite a 'captive market', they are all fairly similar. If you are like me you will not be loyal and spread your spending capital all over.
Yes, I do spread my capital all over....probably a bit too much! :) I love Ali Express, and I spend hours shopping there because I love a good deal, and I do my due diligence not to purchase anything that I know is trademarked. I won't always be perfect, but that's life. More than with metal dies, I've noticed the stamping designs are being stolen. I purchase from one company here in the US, specifically, and I saw her stamps on Ali Express completely copied. For a small business, there really is no way to fight this or stop it from happening. I won't buy those stamps on Ali, but I will still shop there. I think I am due for a new haul! TFS, Amanda
@@AmandaMischellDesigns The companies that sell their dies that are expensive if you look on the back Where are they made IN CHINA so what's the difference !!! Please don't take this as an insult, when you are a pensioner and can't afford it China or Aliexpress is the place to go . Cheers Jenny PS I am glad I found your UA-cam Channel!
Saw some of Scrapbooking Made Simples dies which Stacey designed. So I am sure they stole the dies pattern. I won't buy from this company because the comments about them stealing stuff is spot on.
I really like the dies that I've purchased from Aliexpress, and I'll continue buying these dies at great prices. The dies here in the US are so expensive that I can only purchase a few at a time. great haul,I store my dies on A4 sized magnetic sheets in a hard plastic document box (folder) that I got from Officeworks here in Oz & woks well
Jenny Gee That's a cool idea. Storage and organization is on my to do list, because I'd hate to purchase a die twice. 😁
Micklebird and Mooch (Amanda Mischell Plans) I
Jenny Gee that's exactly what I do and I am from Aus also
Wow!! You did get a great deal on the dies!! It's really crazy how expensive dies are!!
I know! I had just purchased one from Spellbinders that was $19.99 which is so much more expensive than the ones on AliExpress. TFS, Amanda

Use a dryer sheet to get bits out of dies....there are videos on you tube on how to do it....

Will do. Sorry to keep buggin you but it is hard to find one's way around Aliexpress without a guide. Thanks, again.
Well, I found it by I have to say, they don't make it easy to find something I'll probably NEVER find the shell border. But thanks for giving me a hand.
Gloria Bennett I just typed 'shell cutting dies' in the search bar on their website and it took me right to several border dies.
which seller? Thanks for sharing
Check out the Washi tapes on Ali Express as well!
Stamps are next on my list to look at on Ali Express. TFS, Amanda

Hello flower, i came across your video by chance but what a lucky chance it was. I have found 23 dies that i do not have of Sue Wilsons on AliExpress's site and they are dearest a fifth of the price. Fair enough they are the newest ones but i don't care, they are ones that i have had on my wish list for a long time and i just wanted to say thank you flower for showing us your great bargains, love from Scotland. x
Thank you so much, Norah! I hope the new dies bring you lots and lots of crafting joy! TFS, Amanda
I would like to see some baby cards,
I have a video on some baby shaker cards that I made last year, but I am also working on a baby mini album that uses a lot of the dies that I got here. I will be sharing it soon, so stay tuned! TFS, Amanda
intricate dies need the precision base plate. I put off buying it, thinking I didn't need it , but I finally caved and am not one bit sorry. It makes a big difference.
I'll look into that....thank you. ~Amanda
TFS, Amanda
Ali express is like a Chinese ebay.very inexpensive, but you need to chose carefully as quality varies!
Or a Chinese Amazon! :) TFS, Amanda
Is it wise to buy through paypal? I am afraid to buy over seas
I don't use PayPal when I purchase from AliExpress. I use a credit card, and if I have any issues, I have protection from my credit card bank. I've also never had any issues with purchases from AliExpress. TFS, Amanda
Thanks. I have credit card protection but is such a hazzle when it gets hit. Never have bought over seas before but nice to know.
Have you bought their stamps. There are some cute ones too.
I have ordered a number of dies and am waiting patiently for them to arrive. For the price I don't mind waiting a little extra while to get them. There are so many items that are now FREE just pay shipping.
That's awesome! I was looking at more last night because the prices are just so good! TFS, Amanda
I like that seashell border! Alice in Wonderland! Wow! I have never seen the dies? How do I find the metal dies? TFS!🌺
Go to Aliexpress.com and I usually search for die cuts and I think others search for metallic dies. TFS, Amanda
I def will order from Ali Express.
I've ordered multiple times, mostly washi tape, and I haven't had a bad experience yet. TFS, Amanda
Has anyone tried their inks?
I was looking at them, but I haven't purchased any yet. Tx, Amanda
coopie624 hi I've tried the ink they are ok the only one I've had issues with is the pink it won't dry unless you heat set it so I do it with all of them .
you did good with this haul
Thank you very much! Amanda
Thanks! Amanda
I got an order ready for Ali express. their total said $58.00 I totaled it up and it was more like around $30.00! whats up?!
Hi.....could it be the shipping? I try to buy mostly from shops who offer free shipping because it can add up quickly, if I don't. Thanks!
Me encantaron todos los días que compraste
Saludos desde Jalisco México
Muchas gracias! ¡Gracias por compartir! Amanda
What companies are these manufactured for? I definitely have concerns about copyright infringement.
Lisa Miller They are from multiple companies if you search on AliExpress.com. Are you looking to reproduce or resell the dies? I have not seen anything yet that resembles designer dies, but if you are reselling, that might be a concern. TFS, Amanda
No any dies I buy are for myself. Often, dies purchased from overseas have copyright issues.
Aww....I will watch out for those. Thanks! Amanda
Of course Jennifer will say that. She represents the American craft industry and gets
most of their products free to advertise ... and of course she is doing a very good
job and inspire lots of people to do more creative work, It is just that many people can not afford them ! If Ali baba offers affordable copies because they can, don't get into that quilt trip please. It is how the art/craft world is involving for years and how people who can not afford to buy an original keep their creativity flow ! Even the artists who work for companies in the industry copy and borrow ideas ! Have a good day.
tfs.
Wonderful haul. How do I get in contact with AliExpress. I have only found it in another language. English please. Thanks.
I don't trust their stamps only. I do love their dies 😊
I'm going to research that and see what I find! Thanks! Amanda
I had a quick look ad the stamps are super cheap! I know what I'm going to be doing tonight after work! TFS, Amanda
Hey, I hope you got some good stamps from AliExpress. I know I did and I won't hesitate to go back for some more... Very good quality.
TFS, Amanda
I agree. I know that I can not afford to buy what I want at the prices in the US. If China can make a profit on these so can the US.
And finally, just be cautious: whether it be Wish or AliExpress: FREE means the postage increases and also 40 items (or whatever amount) equals about $80 in postage. Makes you wonder.....do you think?
be careful - they steal designs from artists and other companies :(
That's a very good point, and I would hate to take anything away from you or other designers like Tim Holtz or even Sizzix.
The prices are amazing
and of course that is appealing.
Thank you Kathleen! I think the sea shells are perfect for summer and vacations! TFS, Amanda
Be careful for another reason..... my Visa card was compromised after placing my order with this company.
I agree! Be safe....I did get an email that you can now pay by PayPal. That may help? TFS, Amanda
TFS, Amanda
In some cases, they copy dies from other companies, I don't buy them anymore because of this.
I can definitely respect that! TFS, Amanda
@@AmandaMischellDesigns The companies that sell their dies that are expensive if you look on the back Where are they made IN CHINA so what's the difference !!! Please don't take this as an insult, when you are a pensioner and can't afford it China or Aliexpress is the place to go . Cheers Jenny
PS I am glad I found your UA-cam Channel!
Saw some of Scrapbooking Made Simples dies which Stacey designed. So I am sure they stole the dies pattern. I won't buy from this company because the comments about them stealing stuff is spot on.
Thank you....I will take a look at Scrapbooking Made Simples designs, because I am not familiar with them. TFS, Amanda
They're stealing designer's ideas...Why are they getting away with theft?
Because their in China
