I don't have an ac yet so I'll see how that works then, and I'll be adding a heater like a Webasoi that is connected to my gas tank. But. I have shore power as well as solar and an alternator hook up for charging while driving. Jarrod Tocci just did a YT tour of a van with an amazing battery system I'm loving, "Super Stealth Luxary Van Tour"... But, I'm sure it is super expensive including two alternators.

With her, ger a portable solar panel and a jackery. At least you will be able to charge everything and stay warm. Until you figure out why you are not charging your battery. And yes once the money starts coming in proper get a lithium nice battery. Being a vanlifer things take time, can't get it all at once, but make that a priority. Your battery with an induction is your life blood has to be on its game. But the Jackery you can charge with a portable solar or plug it up when you stop somewhere. Trial and error, and loving seeing you be real and staying positive.
Thats Harvest Host sounds amazing. You always have a destination and you don't have the hassle of finding a spot to stay. Plus you get to tour and experience the destinations! I love that!
Good to see 'Brown Grrls' van lifing! FYI get the largest Jackery. Plug it into the cigarette lighter and use that until your solar is straighten out. That's what I'm doing. Apparently drained down batteries...got some new ones but still not at 100%. So I think I'll get 1 more battery instead of 3 have 4. The struggle IS real! 😂
We just started van life this October and we left Minnesota just as it was getting really cold! An idea for cold nights: We keep a full size sleeping bag under the bed and pull it out when we know it’s going to be very cold overnight. It’s kept us warm down to in the 20’s F 😀
i heard great things about Harvest Host from Creativity RV. Better than staying at a walmart or cracker barrel as an option. Glad you found that service
I Subscribed...You really should make a separate detailed video showing /explaining only your vans equipment setup. That’s when pros like myself can chime in and help you dial your system in to your power demands. (Vanlife Atl 2+yrs here)
I suggest you go to a Auto Zone or Pep Boys because they can check your van’s battery for free too see if it is fully changing for the size of the engine. They can also check to see if your alternator is changing the van’s battery and if there is what is called a parasitic drain on the battery. The problem could be the Van’s battery is needing most of the change from the alternator so the excess is not going to the second battery. A parasitic drain is when the electrical system is being used without your knowledge. A system code check can usually be easily done by plugging in a device into your dashboard. I know this sounds Complicated but I hope I explained it in a way that you can understand. I was a automotive service writer and that was my job. With this knowledge the techs will know you’re on “the ball” and won’t talk down to you. You are a savvy lady, you got this.

Get a Jackery 500! It will save you from so much stress regarding your battery issue. It will be your back up power source that you can charge items and run household items on. Love your channel! So good to see our people talking about van life.

Good batteries are a must...and get/ make thermal blackout window covers for better heating/cooling and safer privacy. I made my own window coverings...super easy n a lot cheaper!!! Also I'm using a Mr Heater which isn't good e condensation but it's temp n gets VERY warm!!! Lovin ur vids!! ✌&❤

Check your inverter you batteries should charge fully when you drive. maybe you dont have it flipped of correctly so it charges while you drive. I hope you get it all sorted out.
I hope you get the electricity situation sorted soon. Once it is you will truly love living in your home more. Also, I’m really impressed. Most van lifers would just leave the bed unmade but so far you really converted it each time. That’s impressive.

I can't give any feedback on the efficiency of the battery because I haven't installed my batteries yet,but they say it'll be the last battery you'll ever buy..They're only 23lbs,you get 3500 cycles and a lifetime warranty.
Get a Jackery (small portable battery bank/inverter in one) maybe until you get the van battery thing sorted out? I could NOT do without my computer or internet.

For your plant idk how well veesed you are in plant care but check to see much light it needs as well as making sure you dont over water your plant or underwater. Love your channel!!
No problem! I know it sounds super simple but by moving a plant slightly into or out of the shade really makes a huge difference in the plants overall health.

How exciting Your.first night in the van👏 Meeting other van lovers and finding your "tribe" will make such a difference. The temperature really drops at night, especially at night in the desert. I have found that a good quality down comforter keeps me warm like nothing else. Often have to throw it off at night, too hot. As far as batteries, lithium is the way to go. Being a cheapskate I considered AGM, but figured I would probably run them down too often and have to end up replacing them .. So, I might as well pay for the best batteries only once and get what I really needed. Also, it is not too difficult for someone to add shore power on your van. That way when you are parked at someplace with electricity you can charge up overnight. Safe travels

I’m curious to see how you can hang things on the padded parts. Command hooks? Super glue a magnet based hook/base? Perhaps magnets could be used for your front curtain since you didn’t like the tension rod? What an adventure you are taking us on!
I have seen many vanlifers with the Jackery for Charging their electronics while camping and on the road seems Handy. It's funny I just watched some of you're other vlogs didn't realize until now you were a flight attendant. I love traveling and if I hadn't become a nurse I would've become a flight attendant because you really can see the world flying different places and countries of course covid has totally disrupted those plans for everyone can't travel anywhere much. I see you put curtains up they look nice and you have privacy now, stay safe and encourage no matter what's going on, God has you're back he'll never leave you stranded.

You need to put those insulator things in your windows like everybody has. That sun reflective things...you need to make those and stick those in the window so that’ll keep some heat in the van and the cold out.

You should get a small heating blanket. It usually turns off in an hour and i put it on top of all my blanket layers. Or a weighted blanket might be good for you too. *no electricity* im from michigan btw so i know real cold.
I dont know if u have figured out your heater solution yet but if u did u can skip this. But check out Chinese diesel heaters on ebay u can get them for about 130. Im a truck driver and thats what we use in our truck so their very safe and my opinion is they r better than the little buddy hearter for lots of reasons. Bu/ watch some videos on utube so u can see if one would be right for your van.

Get some bubble rap tin to insulate your windows at night and black them out on one side so it looks as if nothing's going on in your van

Hi my name is Willis order to solve that problem you can go with twin alternators or go with one big alternator that will solve that problem and charge your batteries add a quicker speed

For your plant idk how well veesed you are in plant care but check to see much light it needs as well as making sure you dont over water your plant or underwater. Love your channel!!

No problem! I know it sounds super simple but by moving a plant slightly into or out of the shade really makes a huge difference in the plants overall health.

How exciting Your.first night in the van👏 Meeting other van lovers and finding your "tribe" will make such a difference. The temperature really drops at night, especially at night in the desert. I have found that a good quality down comforter keeps me warm like nothing else. Often have to throw it off at night, too hot. As far as batteries, lithium is the way to go. Being a cheapskate I considered AGM, but figured I would probably run them down too often and have to end up replacing them .. So, I might as well pay for the best batteries only once and get what I really needed. Also, it is not too difficult for someone to add shore power on your van. That way when you are parked at someplace with electricity you can charge up overnight. Safe travels

I’m curious to see how you can hang things on the padded parts. Command hooks? Super glue a magnet based hook/base? Perhaps magnets could be used for your front curtain since you didn’t like the tension rod? What an adventure you are taking us on!

I have seen many vanlifers with the Jackery for Charging their electronics while camping and on the road seems Handy. It's funny I just watched some of you're other vlogs didn't realize until now you were a flight attendant. I love traveling and if I hadn't become a nurse I would've become a flight attendant because you really can see the world flying different places and countries of course covid has totally disrupted those plans for everyone can't travel anywhere much. I see you put curtains up they look nice and you have privacy now, stay safe and encourage no matter what's going on, God has you're back he'll never leave you stranded.

Have you considered getting a gas grill to cook on. You can purchase the mini tanks. Also battery operated lights.

You need to put those insulator things in your windows like everybody has. That sun reflective things...you need to make those and stick those in the window so that’ll keep some heat in the van and the cold out.

You should get a small heating blanket. It usually turns off in an hour and i put it on top of all my blanket layers. Or a weighted blanket might be good for you too. *no electricity* im from michigan btw so i know real cold.

I dont know if u have figured out your heater solution yet but if u did u can skip this. But check out Chinese diesel heaters on ebay u can get them for about 130. Im a truck driver and thats what we use in our truck so their very safe and my opinion is they r better than the little buddy hearter for lots of reasons. Bu/ watch some videos on utube so u can see if one would be right for your van.
