Omg, you were in Allentown! I grew up in that area and still visit to see my family there. Anyway, I remember when people were protesting because they didn't want this place demolished. I'm so happy you and your group explored it before it was destroyed. Really sad to see such a nice building get torn down. I just think of all the possibilities, like a home for the homeless or something. I don't know, it's just sad to see it go. But anyway, I love your videos Josh! Keep them coming!
This is so sad, I wish the U.S would have a classification for these architectural gems. In the u.k it would have been listed and probably turned into some sort of accommodation. It's a shame. Those stair cases, those rooms. Thank you for documenting it :)
OT is Occupational Therapy. It’s used to help patients improve/restore their daily living skills like bathing, cooking, doing laundry etc, so despite illness, injury or disability, patients are able to live as independently as possible.
Hi! I’m going to school to become an OT - do you like it? Easy to find work? Decent pay on average in your experience? Also did you get your masters and did you do any programs I should know about to save money or time w schooling lol
HELLO 👋 JOSH. THERE IS AN ASYLUM IN HOWARD COUNTY MARYLAND THAT HAS BEEN ABANDONED FOR 30 YEARS. Springfield hospital center is the name. The area that is abandoned is named warfield wards it is a collection of very much similar edifaces like thus video. There have been paranormal investigator videos made of the place. It is illegal to search. I'm sure you know. But it still has power and lights. And is off of route 32. Don't know if there is newer info on this location . G'day 👀
So is Abandoned World Explorer, Explomo, Bros of Decay, Steve Ronin, Exploring with Fighters (in his earlier days) The Proper People, The Unknown Cameraman, Riddim Ryder, Freaktography... the list goes on.
I’m glad and really appreciate that you and some other youtubers documented as much of the interior of this place that you could. As of April 17, 2021 I’m pretty sure every building on the property has been demolished. My dad use to work there and has seen just about every inch of the place, from the attic areas/ old nurses dorms, to the underground tunnels that connected every building and stretched all the way to the main road Hanover Ave.
As someone originally from PA I want to thank Josh for for a view of home, it's just sad that the sorry excuse for a Governor Tom Wolfe has no heart or soul and approved it being torn down,
Totally agree. Wolf hasn't a soul. This is an historic building and should be restored. Make it into a hotel for historical Pennsylvania and restaurant. Make more movie sets in there. It would bring the state money. After all, tourism and movie making is one of our biggest money maker's. Yes, Thank you Josh for exploring this historic building and making people aware of what's going to happen to this place.
It’s too bad this asylum got demolished! Great Josh could make it to that place before it got demolished! My appreciation for abandoned buildings are growing because of ur vids. Thanks for sharing that with us! 👍 Please don’t stop the passion u have for exploring and sharing those abandoned gems u find! Thanks Josh! ❤️❤️😊😘
The explanations and places you explore are absolutely amazing and beautiful. You don't just make videos you tell show the stories and the life they have lived. I absolutely love and amazed of what you find no matter if it's just a hallway or or stained glass windows. Your videos help me so much dealing with anxiety in so many ways. This Asylum was one of many that were just beautiful and breath taking. Thanks Josh for what you do that most of of can't or not able to do. Always stay safe. Much love
You actually went to a humongous explore on a hot day with no water?? I would never be able to do that!! I would die - literally!! Other than that, thanks for showing us this historic place (that should NOT be demolished!) And take water, no matter what!! Love you!!
I understand what you are saying but is tricky to just drink water. Sometimes is better not to because if the place doesn't have a bathroom is unconfortable.

an idea to mark where youve been in the building: go to a dollar store and get those pebbles you see in the bottom of fish tanks. when you've gone through a room, leave a pebble where youd see it incase you come upon the room again. then you know youve been there.
Big shame if that massive comple goes to waste by demolishing. I like the way that even Josh has been doing this for years, he still gets excited like a kid in a candystore. 😄 Edit .. oh crap, it's gone forever. That's why we must appreciate explorers cause they record history.
Hey Josh, that is so cool of you guys showing the actual place of where that movie was filmed. That place looks huge but also beautiful at the same time. Did you guys pick up on any weird sounds or anything like that since it was an asylum? I think it would take at least 2-3 days to explore, maybe longer as it is huge. Thanks for posting your journey there.
It actually would be cool if they make apartments, both for young students, older people and homeless, is big enough to do that. And they could help each other to make a little town
