I think those of us in the Frozen North need two heat mats with two thermostats? I'm trying to guarantee my guy doesn't get too cold, but the cool side of his enclosure got down to 64! :( I'm worried that's too cold, but these snakes also live where it gets that cold...

Have you tried over-tank heating like a ceramic heat emitter or heat lamp? That’s what I do for my ball python in northern Minnesota :)
@@Dehalove that is what I do with corn snake , since she in a 55 gallon, I have a che lamp overhead and a heat mat below, both are on thermostats

No, one for heating and the other side use nothing. The room temp alone should keep it around 24’c
I live in Scotland, it simply isn’t possible to have the tank at 27c.. no matter what I do
I’m the same in Manchester. Set my Evo to 30 degrees. Never seems to reach that.
