Fantastic, Grant! I could barely believe the subject matter when I received the notification. I had spent the better part of today (yesterday now) looking for decent tutorials on rocks and waterfalls. How timely your video is to my search! Beautiful rocks and water, by the way. I just cannot get the hang of rocks for some reason. Mine just don't look real to me. I'll just have to keep practicing to get as good as you. You make it look so effortless.
Another awesome presentation! (My cat was sitting in my lap while I was watching, and she was too -- her head followed the movement of your hand around the paper!!!!!!)
Great video. I am having a lot of trouble avoiding blooms when I work wet into wet. How on earth did you avoid blooms in the first stage of this, where you were dropping in all the wet colors? If I had tried that the result would have been an ugly mess.
Another great video! I know that you normally prefer to use flat brushes, and I get so frustrated trying to use a squirrel mop. This brush seemed to have a bit more bounce back, yet really held the pigment and water load. You indicated that it was a squirrel and synthetic blend...Can you give more information on this brush? Thank you.
+corikay They are calling them synthetic squirrel now. I understood it was a blend but it may be a totally artificial material. Try Princeton Neptune series for a great variety of shapes, oval wash is a good one. Not expensive either.
Fixed my Yellowstone painting by watching this great video! Thank you!
What magic, to see you develop something which started out looking horrible into a beautiful waterfall. Thanks for the demo.
Simply an incredible, amazingly talented artist!
I like your art, Grant. You are also a fantastic teacher! Thank you.
