He kept it hidden from everyone until the last moment when it was clear that it was the only way to participate in the game. They are still competing vs each other in the game.
13:10 I mean, Goreinu didn't know he could use his nen gorilas as players until Razor did the same, so I imagine he was maybe planning to keep his ability hidden until he could find a good oportunity. That's a good explanation to why he didn't reaveal it before imo.
Goreinu not revealing his ability b4 actually make sense, not revealing a skill/ability b4 a fight is actually advantageous, u don't want potential opponents to figure out the weakness of your skill/ability before a fight/game
Just a small notice to ur question Why didn't Goreino revealed his Nen Gorillas sooner: 1 - doesn't want to reveal his power to temporary teammates also making nen creatures consumes lots of energy, he wanted to avoid that
4:52 I was sure this already came up but turns out this is one of the details from the manga that were left out of the anime. It's when Gon and Killua talk with Goreinu about who to recruit, which took much longer in the manga. He explained that the light next to the name of the people that they met in the game is off when they either leave the game or die. 5:01 Close, they call it Dodgeball in the anime because that's what people know but the rules are from a German variation of Prisonball (there is a Wikipedia article on it) called Völkerball (Nationball).
@@kc_h7h Well generally speaking they wouldn't include dad's of side characters. And while Endeavor did horrible stuff (but just a heads-up, all of his kids were conceived with Rei's consent), he does have the redeeming quality of being aware how shitty he was and of trying to atone however he can. He's trying to make amends. And, well, I guess he didn't tell a death row convict to give everything he has against his son.

@@kc_h7h You don't read properly. I'll repeat it one more time for you. Generally speaking, Dads of side characters aren't included unless they themselves are the main character. Why Goreinu didn't tell sooner about his abilities? Well, Nen Users usually hide their Hatsu from other people, as revealing their Hatsu will put them to disadvantage. That's why.
Other than for particularly strong abilities that have the reveal of how the power works as a condition, in the hunter world everyone knows it's better to not reveal your abilities to anyone.

^ This x1000000. Keeping your ability a secret is important in a nen battle.
Exactly, Goreinu also didn't know that he could use the ability as a player until Razor did the same, so he saw an oportunity and took it.
I'm a sucker for characters whose eyes are always closed and then you know they're serious when they open their eyes lol.

Truly the plot twist I didn't see coming, well done Togashi
This version of dodgeball is especially hard-core. Good thing Gon and Killua are as strong as they are. Otherwise, I don't think they would make it.
This is the version I grew up playing at my family gatherings, it’s the most fun way because you get to still participate even if you’re out.
Little late but it's called Nationball (from German Völkerball), a variation of Prisonball (there is a Wikipedia article on it).
i can't with Nicole and Parker making the "gasps of amazement" sound 😂
20:47 maybe the Gon steaming is because he's thinking about it and got confused...
Like, sport anime are cool and all. But this like 2-3 episode dodgeball game is peak sports anime, despite not being a sports anime.
The best anime dodge ball match is here!!
Regarding the steam in the post-credit, it's just Gon's brain overheating, like when he was trying to come up with a special move to show Tsezguerra.
Parker is a fellow dodgeball enjoyer, i respect that

The ref is fair, it's part of Razor's ability and a form of restriction to make his nen stronger in the same way as Kurapika.
4 people and no one paid attention to the explanation 😅
Ging is frequently on the list of bad anime dads. So your accusation might be accurate 😅😅
Not just on the list. But on top of the list. Or at least close to the likes of Goku.
I don't get it. Endeavour is 10x worse. Ging is just a left for milk dad. Endeavour is a abuser who litteraly breeded and traumatised his kids
