On this American Standard Commerical gas hvac unit I diagnosed a faulty inducer motor. Today I return to replace it and disassemble the burner assembly to clean and verify all components are in good condition. Once I have everything reinstalled, I'll test the system and verify proper operation.

"This customer gets their maintenance done elsewhere so we'll have to leave it be for now" *proceeds to maintenance the equipment because he just can't help himself* We love the thoroughness! You set the bar high and motivate us techs to go the extra mile!
Thank you!
On piston heat pump systems the red hose (high pressure hose) will go on the suction line and the blue hose will go to your true suction but other than that a really good service call. Very honest
You live up to your business name 🥇. I really enjoy watching a guy take the time to do it right and willing to show us doing it wrong and fixing his own mistakes. Most content creators would just edit all that out.
I appreciate that!
A couple things:
1) I like using red RTV to stick the gasket to the inducer housing when mounting a new one on. Foil tape is a good idea though.
2) Don’t use a steel brush on brass orifices!!! I like a lightweight brass brush coupled with a small section of 18ga stat wire to ensure clear ports.
3) Always clean work from you. Love to see good examples to reference from!
Years ago, in my old home, the gas fired furnace needed a new inducer. No problem, it was replaced I suspect with the cheapest OEM part that the repair company could find. On start up, it sounded like a jet engine compared to the old one. I'm always wary about replacement parts or the quality of those parts. Like an ice maker replacement in a refrigerator. Extremely noisy compared to the old unit. One can never win. Happy to have a heat pump in my current home. No more gas flames.
always fun when all the wires are the same color! the older lennox units we used to work on had all black wires with numbers on them. basically spaghetti mess.
I wanted to thank you for all great information over the past videos. I have been remodeling a home and needed 2 mini split units installed. I had to have the company that did the installation come back and clean up their work. They failed to spray foam the penetrations for the line sets, didn’t use the correct screws when they took the unit apart and reassembled. Everything that was little details needed to be addressed.
From watching a lot of your videos I felt confident in knowing what a good installation should look like.
Thank you
I don't think you hooked it up wrong, I think you are just being modest, And showing even the best screw up some times, because you are usually on top of that stuff, good job.
This is Marc from Texas, I'm new with HVAC/R And this was a good video, got some good information in it thank you. Also thank you for explaining everything you did it really helps out a lot. Keep up the good work.
very good camera position, every step is clear, good job
ive had bad luck lately with inducer gaskets being the wrong one in the box, for both the inducer housing and the collector plate. I followed up today on a unit i condemned the heat exchanger on because 3 of the 5 tubes were cracked. I was told they had another company come out and tell them yes its rusty and cracked but it cant still run like that for another year, it doesn't need to be replaced. the other tech said " i cant believe the wiring was taken loose from the valve, board and the gas was off"
Perfect video to watch while I build ducts and get ready for new installation. Thanks
I always use a little adhesive spray to hold my gaskets in place and I use a peace of wore out sand paper to clean my flame sensor
I hope you checked the heat exchanger. Those always crack. (I always take pictures and mark everything with a marker, before I unhook anything)
I learn a lot from you brother please make more videos I will watch 🙏
Nice! Not sure if you did but I'd recommend to the customer to paint that exterior gas piping looks like it's rusting nicely .. sometimes I like to also use some anti-seize on those outdoor unions. Love the videos
Its always more fun to watch someone else do the work. Lolz.
Hi Zack, your channel recently came on my feed and have been enjoying watching them! I’m not a HVAC tech or anything but I find it very interesting and have been considering joining the trade. Hope this finds you well - Simon

Typically triples the time. Yes I’m a one man shop.
You did way too much for just an inducer motor, all that cleaning and stuff that they could of done when it comes to maintaining
Guess I couldn’t help myself
RLS - the system for soul sold loosers.....Jay
dude that's a ripoff and you all know it, I'm sure everyone will dis me you included but I am right, no need to do any of what you did, and you know it, if its for content its OK, but don't sell it as truth
What are you referring to exactly?
@@QualityHVACR I don't know if I over reacted but, was all that work really necessary? like its something that its done every time or was it only for content and information purpose?
