Marais, I came across your video after painstakingly researching for an answer to the inlet drain light fault, yesterday evening before I came across your video I took the dishwasher out and opened up the bottom plate to see if there was anything leaking. I was happy to see that the mechanics looked as good as new. After putting the dishwasher back in place and finding that the fault was still there, I decided to research deeper and thats when I saw your video. After watching your video I went back out into my kitchen and started to disassemble the dishwasher to locate the flow meter board, and there was the problem, the switch was absolutely dead. I ordered a new flow meter board and it arrived today and my dishwasher is restored to perfect working order. Thank you for sharing this fix as the inlet drain light problem all to often sends one looking in the wrong area.
I have just had this exact problem a brand new never previously used Miele 4920 sc. Red Light on this model also flashe five times. Other symptoms were machine taking in water in pulses and actually filling to the correct level before immediately pumping out again . Technician firstly blames water pressure so made tne connection direct to main with loads of pressure then he decided it was not the pressure after all,. At the end of the day all is well and no one is dead. !!!!
I have a very similar type of Dishwasher, but mine goes 1 minute into cycle stops and the Wash/rinse Drying & end light flash and fault code f84 comes up on screen. (apparently a slide shutter fault, according to the fault code manual online) How would i fix this? where is it located? Thanks.
Hi stw1791, Sorry, I have not come across that error message (lucky for me, but bad for you :( ) I do not service dishwashers for a living, but I do try to fix my own goods where I can. Here is a link to somebody with a diagram of the machine: www.justanswer.com/appliance/8byge-miele-g2670scvi-dishwasher-almost-years.html It seems like the "SLIDE SHUTTER" is item no 17 in the diagram. "There is a small timer motor on it that rotates to move the shutter for water flow" Also from that link, it seems like MIELE sell the complete assembly only and not the shutter valve on its own :( Good Luck! Please let us know if you manage to fix it!!

Glad you got it working and everybody survived!
Did the technician say what the actual problem was?
