What a beautiful picture of the gospel of Jesus Christ! Thank you for sharing this story. I pray that your faithfulness to the Savior will be a great witness to your people. God bless, my brother.
Thank you for sharing your testimony. Until we know the Truth, we are never truly free. “More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them mere rubbish, so that I may gain Christ…” Philippians 3:8
He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” John 14:21 NKJV should I rely on God's awesome forgiveness or do I play a role as well as in this verse it does tell me that I should keep his commandments
You can absolutely rely on God's awesome grace and forgiveness. He will never go back on His word. He is the one that saves, and He is the one that keeps. It is important to remember that He has won the victory over sin, death and hell and we can't add to that. He is the Victor, and we serve Him, and keep His commandments, because it shows our commitment and thankfulness to Him. We don't keep His commandments to keep us saved, Paul tells us in Colossians 2:6 "As you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, so walk in Him." How did we receive Him? By faith! How do we walk the Christian life? By faith! Keeping His commandments is living by faith and the Lord promises to manifest himself to us in a deeper way. That is so rewarding and exciting!
Icould sit and talk with you for hours. If the hutterite way of community life could be added with truly following our fathers teachings how great a place would that be! Check out fort pitt videos. From what I can see they've got it figured out.
The main thing is to be saved: thank JESUS for paying for your sins on the cross and HIS resurrection on the 3rd day!!! It must come from the bottom of your heart and don't forget that JESUS is GOD, see John 1! Listen to great theologians like Dr. John Ankerberg.
