    Nancy should do a cookbook! I'm willing to try new veggies or veggies prepared a different way. An ebook cookbook would be great. I'd love to try some of her Asian-influenced recipes. The meals she serves up look so yummy.

      So glad you love our fishing videos. Not many folks like them but it is a part of our homestead life. We enjoy sharing them with those that like the outdoors. Fishing provides an excellent source of meat for us helping us to become as self sufficient as possible. The enjoyment we get from it is priceless. It is something we both love to do and try to go every chance we get. We have some more fishing videos coming your way❤️🎣❤️🎣

    Your music is so relaxing. You guys are such a beautiful couple. I love how you do things together, something which is rather lacking in Puritan New England where I live now. My husband and I were from New York a much more friendly state. We to, did many things together. My mother was from North Carolina where they have southern hospitality. I miss going down to see what's left of my relatives, but I can't do that anymore due to chronic lyme arthritis. Keep up the good work; your gardens are so beautiful!

We talk about good times with you often. It’s been a lifetime. Hope you can reach out to Tommy on his Facebook page. He would love to hear from you. Yes sir, I played the drums in a band for a few years but I had been playing guitar since I was a kid. I actually liked the guitar more. I continued playing guitar for several years since the last time I saw you. I had to stop playing back in 2010 due to arthritis in my hands but I still love them blues. ❤️🎸❤️

    Awesome video guys. My wife loves to catch fish but I have to train her up and get her to Nancy’s level so she can bait up and take fish off herself! 😂
    Do y’all just use jigs or minnows or both?

    • @HollisNancysHomestead
      @HollisNancysHomestead  Рік тому

      You can believe many hours have been devoted to training with Nancy. She had the desire but no experience until we got married. She has never been fishing! So we got started right away. Little by little she got better and better. When we moved to Florida we converted over from saltwater to freshwater fishing. She is still learning her skill sets. Our favorite fishing is spider rigging for crappie. We have our routine ironed out pretty good on that. We also love Bream fishing. Sometimes we use cane poles and others we use spinning rods depending on where we are fishing. She is real good on vertical jogging with the cane pole and out fishes me often. When it comes to casting she is still struggling but has improved drastically in the last year or so. One thing for certain is she still has the desire and that’s what makes a good fisherman.
      On our crappie baits, we use jigs tipped with a live minnow when we are spider rigging. When we are casting in shallow water we use a float with a minnow on a naked hook👍

    • @HollisNancysHomestead
      @HollisNancysHomestead  Рік тому +1

      We do but we found it easier if we work as a team. The fish have very soft mouths so if one person fights the fish and the other does the netting the one on the fish can focus on the fish. 99% of crappie fish that get away are lost at the net. 🎣
