Yeah Zac Robinson was terrible with the play calling once our two lineman went out didn’t trust the line to hold up in protection. I also agree we should’ve took them 3 points first dr and trusted our defense who’s looked good first three weeks
Analytics say take the FG with around 4 min left, ATL? Also, with Cousins not running @ all. Why not Wild Cat it to Tyler A. Or have Penix become Tush Push specialist since he isn’t doing anything anyway.
Complain all you want about the non PI call. We all know Mahomes would've driven down the field after the failed 2pt attempt and won the game with a field goal.
So smart that you sound like me. Our defense is making such a difference that it is still unaccounted for. Atlanta was a tough team, the same as the first two teams that we faced. We make it on our defense or our special teams or our offense. doesn't matter. Just win in any way possible, and they just continue to do this.
Even if the PI gets called, a TD puts it 22-23. You have to go for 2 No guarantees Atlanta gets it. Even so, giving Mahomes the ball with 4 minutes only needing a FG to tie/win, you will probably lose anyways!
Andy Reid is a tough "out" with a gr8 DC. With Eagles Jim.Johnson had an entire season (2001) allowing less than 21 ppg. Andy Reid can win a lot of games needing only 3 TDs. Eagles with Johnson had 5 NFC championship appearances & 1 SB (losing to another legendary pairing).
The last series for the Falcons was a head scratcher. Especially on 3rd and 4th down where they used running plays and in effect, took the ball out of Cousins hands. I mean they gave him a Brinks truck full of cash for this very situation, to go and win the game. And they run instead? I guess Kirks finding that he really isn't on the same page with the coaches.
@kenbattor6350 - What? If you believe that is true, please explain to the rest of us how calling 3 penalties against the Chiefs that kept a crucial 4th quarter Atlanta alive and moving is going to help the Chiefs win the game.
The bad play call came down to 2 offence tackles gettting injured duting the game. After that Atlanta plays waent the same again. Reminds me of week1. They face last yrs head foach and play calling stopped em from putting up points even tho defense stood up
You can talk about decision-making all day long, but why are we ignoring a very obvious pass interference in the end zone that would’ve given Atlanta first down on the one yard line and ready to take the lead?
Although the playcall on that last drive was what ultimately loss the game for the Falcons, that no-call would have changed the ending and possibly the outcome of the game. They would’ve been at the 1 yard line and scored a TD (more than likely). That would’ve made Mahomes and the Chiefs have to go down the field and kick a FG to win the game (against a sneaky good secondary with Bates, Simmons and Terrell. Also Judon off the edge). Who knows, but the refs definitely deserved some blame along with the coaching on Atlanta late.
Shut up you would have just lost another way. The Falcons had every chance to win that game and they couldn't do it. Kirk Cousins great guy but he ain't no Super Bowl quarterback that's for sure
@@chuckHart70 “you”, who said I was a falcons fan moron lol? That no-call changed the proceeding events of the 4th quarter. Regardless of who would’ve won, refs shouldn’t control that sort of outcome, teams should.
The logic of going for it instead of kicking the FG was absurd! ATL had to stop or hold KC to a FG regardless. So kick the field goal. If you stop them then you go down and win the game with a FG. If you hold them to a FG, then you go for the TD to win.
It was the right call because even though the Chiefs stopped them, Atlanta just has to get a 3 and out and they have the ball right back around the 50 yard line only down 5 points. If you kick the field goal its guaranteed the Chiefs get the ball at the 35 or 40 yard line after the kickoff
@@GrootsieTheDog How is it irrelevant? You needed a touchdown to win plus you are playing against the best offense in the NFL in Patrick Mahomes/Andy Reid. They force opponents to be more aggressive than usual. If Atlanta kicks the field goal, they are still losing by 2 points. Might as well go for it all since field goals don’t beat KC
@@alexkain8564 Thinking logically means you don’t make assumptions without first taking in account of *all variable outcomes* and weighing that with *most probable outcomes* based on percentage, difficulty, context, capabilities, and known facts. For example, most coaches used to never go for it on 4th because they thought it was illogical to do so. BUT, when they really looked at it....logically...after all these years, they determined in the long run it was advantageous in certain situations. The fact that they lost in exactly the manner they did proves my point. So I’ll break down the logic - 1) They would only get an opportunity to win or tie on next possession IF they stopped KC OR held them to a FG. 2) So assume the worse, they score a TD. That ends it - so *everything prior is meaningless (both a TD and a FG)* 2) So then a touchdown scenario isn’t considered - you only account for a stop or a FG. In that case, you have two option to win depending on A or B outcome. 3) Scenario A: They get the stop (which is what they did) you only need to kick the F to win. If scenario B : Well THEN you go for the TD because it necessary. 4. By going for the TD, they not only risk not getting it and having to stop KC and then try again to get a TD (which is what happened - and they lost) but you take away other probabilities and narrow it down to the single one they ended up with.
Why do Tirico-Collinsworth and others refuse to question strategy - why go for it with four minutes left? Trust your defense. Two FGs and Atlanta walks away with the win.
First off I would rather have put the ball in Cousins hands on that last play with a checkdown option to throw to Bijan. Bijan Robinson 16 rushes for 31 yards was unacceptable & I put that on Robinson & the Coaches. Also the 2 OL going down really affected the offense. It looked like the Falcons got to cocky with there running game & never made adjustments when the Chiefs focused on stopping Bijan. The Chiefs obviously went in saying the running game wasn't going to be the thing that beat them. It's on the Coaches & Bijan to figure out how they failed so miserably to adjust there gameplan. Overall though the Falcons do look legit & should only get better because this is only the 3rd game in this new regime. Everyone knew the Falcons opening with the Steelers, Eagles & Chiefs was brutal & in my eyes the Falcons passed the test & looked like a legit playoff contender. So far they've been in every game with a chance to Win at the end.
I'm guessing he will in the next few weeks. 2 out of Seattle's next 3 games are in prime time against teams that are supposed to be playoff teams. So far seattle's games have been competing with a lot of other games running simultaneously. Prime time games always get more attention from commentators.
@tannerarmstrong1496 yea I'm not upset or anything like yea I get primetime games get all the the hype and attention but would love to hear him give Seattle's defense and Mike mcdonald praise for their huge turn around
A fun but frustrating game to watch. Take the points and allow your Defense (which is playing lights out) to give you the ball back. But in that last play, 4th and inches. I know they want to protect Kirk, but line up and get your inches right up the middle. Try a little dump off pass. Put in Pennix for one play to do a QB sneak. Anything but go wide. That play never had a chance. A week before we win because the Eagles didnt play situational football, and we lose a week later doing the same thing.
I know that logical thinking is in short supply these days (both the ability to do it and recognize it) but *logically* the *best* decision was to *kick the FG* - It was mind blowing bad decision making. You can logically work it out in about four steps: *Three Scenarios* - 1. Unfavorable outcome: A KC TD on next possession would make everything irrelevant. 2. ATL has two “favorable” outcomes: they stop KC or hold them to a FG. 3. In the scenario that you stop KC, you win with a FG. 4. If KC scores a FG, THEN you go for the TD. Ugh.
Two of those penalties on the chiefs on that falcons last drive were COMPLETELY bogus. Hands to the face that didn’t happen. PI called on the defense on contact initiated by the receiver.
Football 101 99% of the time: Take the points! What bit the Eagles last week by not kicking the FG early came back to bite us last night. No kicking the FG tells me that the coaches do not have confidence in this team. Week one the OC lost us the game. Now last night the HC cost us the game.
I would have brought in extra linemen(O or D and put Allgier in the wildcat and did the brotherly shove/T-Push. Anytime you are going wide there’s a chance the play will be blown up by a DT/DL or LB breaking free. As for the Pitts no call…last time something that blatant happened(Julio/R.Sherman) we got revenge later that season. So fingers crossed that we can maybe see them again. And it’s only one way that’ll happen.

To make up for the game changing PI call they missed. They could have saved those flags
Quantity is less important that quality, aka timing.
There will always be poor sports, the revs will always miss some. Just think how tought Chris Jones is, He barely can keep his jersey on or his helmet in some cases.
Colin picked the Falcons :O
Yea he did
what is scary is Big Red said after the game "We have a lot to work on". I guess KC isn't happy unless they're 4-0 after week 3 jeez.
They do our owner Clark Hunt and the league haven’t settled on a # for a three peat.
Anybody else surprised the Falcons tried to run for it on 4th and 1 on the Chiefs 12 yard line? You have Kirk Cousins who can throw it pretty well and a good receiving corp. i thought that was a mistake by the Atlanta Falcons staff
Atlanta must practice on choking in the fourth quarter they do this time and time again
What about last week? They played the best team in the nfl to the wire.
@@scottrowlandrowland1098Chiefs are the best bc they win against this team time and time again.
So smart that you sound like me. Our defense is making such a difference that it is still unaccounted for. Atlanta was a tough team, the same as the first two teams that we faced. We make it on our defense or our special teams or our offense. doesn't matter. Just win in any way possible, and they just continue to do this.
Tell me again how the refs always favor the Chiefs?
100% PI in the endzone against pitts that wasn't call. That was the game.
Rewatch that pitts endzone play again and say that it wasn't PI. The refs tried giving make up calls after that
@@chris.6349I saw an easy touchdown if the throw was higher. But also 4 minutes left
@@rezatashakori7892no it wasnt
Even if the PI gets called, a TD puts it 22-23. You have to go for 2 No guarantees Atlanta gets it. Even so, giving Mahomes the ball with 4 minutes only needing a FG to tie/win, you will probably lose anyways!
100 percent agree with everything said.
Invest two top 10 picks in a RB&TE & on a hugely critical play they hand it off to their backup RB... So Atlanta.
They handed it off to Bijan no?
@@robbielawson3967 think he was meaning the play before when they gave it to aligier
@@richierich4330 Except Allgeier was running better than Bijan all night.
@@evangelionl0vr857 he's still the backup. I was just explaining who he was referring to
We can all agree that Atlanta's playcalling was atrocious.
Thank you for supporting my falcons. Everyone never gives them enough credit
Yep. The refs were for the Chiefs. They called the 3 against the Chiefs just to hide that fact😂😂😂
@kenbattor6350 - What? If you believe that is true, please explain to the rest of us how calling 3 penalties against the
Chiefs that kept a crucial 4th quarter Atlanta alive and moving is going to help the Chiefs win the game.
Atlanta went to the Fredo Sirriani school of 4th down decision making
The bad play call came down to 2 offence tackles gettting injured duting the game. After that Atlanta plays waent the same again.
Reminds me of week1. They face last yrs head foach and play calling stopped em from putting up points even tho defense stood up
3pete....3 down.. 14 to go..
17 to go👀
Can’t no one complain about the refs last night. The game was decided on 2 solid defensive stands.
Bolton should get Defensive player of the week.
Atlanta went on 4th twice instead of taking the six points and winning the game 23-22.
Agree 💯 on the Falcons. Poor play calling. 4th and 1 just run a play action to Pitts. TD
This would have made way more sense
As a Falcons fan, I don’t understand why pundits like Colin think the Falcons o-line is good. It’s below average and the Chiefs proved that tonight.
You do know two of the Falcons O-lineman were hurt in this game right?
Are you sure defensive players get hurt more often? Cause the guys I draft on my fantasy team every year have something to say about that
It's the fans that get hurt the most, ask anyone in Dallas!
@@raysville7256 LOL that was good 😂 You’re not wrong!
you’re in the red zone with one of the best route running receivers in the league and you choose to run 😂
Don’t understand the 4th down outside runs. There was a few of them that got stopped today. Mind boggling stuff.
Man… that looked exactly like the Bengals play from which they flagged. Idk yeah play calling was questionable but damn!
@@alexkain8564 That is irrelevant from a logical standpoint.
@@alexkain8564
Best offense?? What?🤣🤪😂🤣
@@alexkain8564 Thinking logically means you don’t make assumptions without first taking in account of *all variable outcomes* and weighing that with *most probable outcomes* based on percentage, difficulty, context, capabilities, and known facts.
Two FGs and Atlanta walks away with the win.
their sicking
So far they've been in every game with a chance to Win at the end.
the Falcons could very easily be 3-0. They are going to be dangerous
Would need a time machine. That don't sound easy, fella.
@@modernfiddler5475 huh ❓❓
how come you dont cover seattle buddy like i love your content just wished youd include my team
Ugh.
Terrible play-calling cost them. Raheem Morris is already messing his second chance as head coach. They’re just not smart. Very predictable
If barkley catches a single pass the falcons are 0-3...penix is already playing next week and cousins is cut in 3 years...

You're wrong. The referees are helping kansas city

It’s hard watching a game nowadays….every few plays there is a penalty! Spread that over a week of football and it’s just facts that officiating will determine outcomes….give me a break with the whole Chiefs being favored by the zebras….its everywhere every week!
