As another Pittsburgh girl I rooted for her on ANTM but she was so badass that she would have been my favorite regardless. I know I'm super late to the party but I had lost track of Joanie over the years and am now looking forward to watching the movie even more.
Once I was driving through Oakland, and on Forbes Avenue there were about a dozen road workers blocking the traffic while they were putting up these huge signs that said, "DANGER -- Potholes Ahead." I remember thinking to myself, "Only in Pittsburgh. They'd rather use a dozen guys to put up stupid warning signs than just FIXING THE DAMN POT HOLES."
