- It's time for trains to make their way to your Martian colony! PartyElite has broken down all the critical information you'll need to build trains, stations, and transport your colonists and resources between domes. This pack was made by community creators LukeHro and Silva, and by purchasing it you will be supporting them!
Genuinely really excited to see transport expanded upon. However, I am worried that it will feel weird given some of the design choices like the train stopping even if the track destroyed was behind the train's path, the building of the entire track as at once instead of in parts, and the lack of being able to use stations to carry passengers across multiple stops.
I think it makes sense for the train to stop because unlike a regular train on earth this one transfers power throughout the entire track in order to move the train so if one section is dysfunctional the current flow for the entire track is disrupted
Disappointed you didn’t go into the transport policy on stations. This dlc is giving me a headache
Yup. Would also love some explanation of how to setup more complex stations than just "move all rare metals from mine to base".
I guess the station is just an universal depot and most of the problems come from priority system. But trains love to behave very strange too.
I would also love to know how to properly set them up for colonist transport. My station connecting 2 rare minerals extractors with a dome full of geologists is hardly ferrying any people. They start and give up the work there at random which is super frustrating.
That's why i clicked the video. Needing some help with those policy
Is it me the Martian Express doesnt work on Loaded Games? I bought it after the fact, installed it, now its not an option for me to pick in my loaded game. If its like that, then its hella stupid
Excellent, surviving mars is one of the best games i have ever played 1000 hour and counting 😄. I don't have below and beyond yet, i'm scared about stability issues.
Same
They could've made this more straightforward lol Like the tracks don't build unless its directly connecting to another station, tricky especially underground lol Where there's narrow passages, it's like impossible to build a decent train network underground lol They gotta make it so you can just build the track whereever lol So you can make twists and turns where you want, seems basic lol
Um not to be rude... This is a trailer not a Tutorial. I mean... Where's the part where you explain how it works? I'm sitting here trying to figure out how to balance the storage of the stations and searched for a tutorial. I got this, and it wasn't even remotely helpful... Granted it was posted a year ago.. These trains are darn frustrating.
I thought this was an Express Tutorial, you failed to mention how to set up the resources and what they mean
the worst thing is that they can onyl be built on flat terrain...
Who cares? That 's the same way trains work in real life. You ever seen a train climb a mountain?? You have trucks for that. Get used to it.
@@Yourebeautyfull Trains use trestles and bridges to "climb mountains"
I placed 2 stations and tells me i cant place a track without a station. This is why im here, and doesnt explain why im having this problem
How do you get the Martian express after I paid for it, is it a tech?
Not transporting goods, I tried everything!!! Is this a bug???
Question: Can I add the Martian Express addon to an existing Saved Game? I ask as I do not see the Station listed in a saved game but I DO SEE IT listed in a new game. Please advise ASAP. Thank you
I build tracks and build trains but I cant assign a train to the track... how to assign a train to track give no answer in google.. so it's just uselaess and time waste :(
It tells me it's got invalid placement. I've cleared everything in the way and flattened the area but i can't place the tracks ...
Thanks
does that mean that you cant transfer/assign colonists form a dome to assigned work stations without those work stations (independently) covered by another dome?
There is a science that says food has more production when not covered by dome. Fungal farm, Ranch built somewhere else can get supplied workers via train instead of building next to dome. You can also send them to mines instead of building a dome next to every metal/rare deposit. I see the benefit of not build outside buildings next to dome is leaving space to build more domes that connect to each other. Build five mega domes in a circle with a train station in the middle being supplied workers from all of the domes.
How do you transport water or oxygen? The in game hint is not clear.
Hi!! can i use the dlc in existing colonies? i mean, can i use the dlc in a loaded game?
Any Answer for this? I don't see it pop up on my already made colony, Do we need to start a new game?
There's some mods that let you do this
