Yea pretty funny story. Alot of people tresspassed on this property. I used to live in the house nextdoor 14010 sw and random people would always walk thru the gates if they saw em open. Apparently tho the owner of this house also own ihop properties. Or something like that.
There was no professional wedding planner involved. They toured the house several times pretending to be interested in buying the property. Not sure why this man didn’t hire a realtor to weed out potential scammers. Most of the time you would need to show proof of funds before being shown a property like this one.
This makes me wonder, if he let them in cause he wasn’t sure if there was a deal with the realtor for the wedding that he didn’t know about. That they would then claim the house as their rental property.? He would have to take them to court to get them out which could take months. I think what saved his home was, even though he is not living in the main house, he is still living in the property. If he lived somewhere else a care taker might have let them in without knowing. That’s why they showed up so early. Before business hours.
There are SOOOO many things wrong with your “assessment”. Business hours? It’s a private residence not a business, it doesn’t have established business hours. And the reason he was “saved” is because they’re trespassing not because he was still occupying the property. Also he didn’t “let them in” they were stopped at the gate when they tried bringing in wedding supplies. And no, there was no deal with the realtor, the realtor does not have that kind of authority.

the power of positive thinking. If I visualize it with confidence, it will happen. If I was the old guy I probably would have let them have the wedding. My wife would have for sure. She's a softy.
