The Phillies are hot right now, their hitters are hitting. Mets bats have gone cold, they barely eeked out two wins against the Blue Jays. Last 7 games OPS for Lindor (.551), Alonso (.554), Nimmo (.311), Vientos (.200), JD (.374). Mets really need to right the ship NOW and at the very least split this first series 2-2 in Philly. Its gonna be tough, then they need to turn around and take 2/3 against them at home. If the Mets don't do well these next ten games then the series against Atl doesnt even matter
Mathematically, yes. Realistically, no. Even more realistically, going 4-3 or 5-2 will really put us up on the Braves going into the series in Atlanta.
Looks like Quintana’s still got it. I mean I expected atleast one on the board against Quintana. But the dude threw 7 scoreless. I’m hoping this magic carries them through the next 2 weeks.
@@edgoodwin4389 He was an absolute stud tonight. Im actually more surprised how quickly they got into Nola once they got a hit. Two terrible curves to Alvarez and the second one was a true meatball. Nice to see Nimmo aggressive there with 2 strikes.
Love hearing from fans of opposing teams and their perspective on their team as well as their analysis of the upcoming series
I love the longer eps keep em coming
Think about this - Ed Kranepool's first manager was, of course, Casey Stengel. And the third base coach on that team was Rogers Hornsby.
Rip
@@sirlawrencet To be so lucky.
Love the additional Metsd Up action. LFGM.
Debating on going to the games this weekend (i live in PA like an hour away from Philly)
I love the rambling

Well I was pleasantly surprised tonight. Whatever we all thought just got thrown out the window. Must be something in the Philly air tonight.
Thanks!
Mets won’t end the season within 5 games of the division. Better keep focusing on Atlanta!! Not catching the Phils by a longshot!

Doubtful. Quintana Nola does not exactly set the tone for surpassing the team that has been riding atop the division all season. That said, LGM!
