I could listen to Ferguson all day long
Dr. Ferguson was my pastor for 7 years. We were blessed 3-4 times a week with his preaching and teaching. He is the most Godly person I have ever met. He walks what he talks. He is an outstanding theologian, pastor, preacher and great man of prayer. His love for Jesus Christ and the church of Christ is exceedingly great.

@Deb Harris How right you are. The sad thing is that he left on August 2013 and his replacement is a great disappointment. I knew how blessed we were with Dr. Ferguson, but it became crystal clear in a short time after his departure.
@Deb Harris If you are referring to my comment about his replacement, you are doing what many have a tendency to do, jump to unwarranted conclusions. His replacement has 40 years of experience in pastoral ministry and teaching at a Seminary. The difference has nothing to do with experience.

Proff Sinclair Ferguson is not only profoundly sound in Biblically knowledge, but exudes a rare love for the Saviour He seeks to exalt. Over a good many years now he has taught me so much about my Saviour, and I have never been disappointed.
Same here brother. He definitely is a gift to us God’s children. He is, by proxy, my pastor/teacher.
oh my goodness! What an amazingly encouraging sermon! I wonder what Pastor and theologian Sinclair Ferguson has experienced personally....whether physical suffering, disappointments, personal sorrows...because there's something about how he preaches about our Lord Jesus, His life, death and resurrection for us AND the power of the comforting Holy Spirit,...that brings a LIFE-giving certainty and comfort to us struggling christians, even though we KNOW we are His elect...chosen before the foundation of the world! Thank you for posting this video..Truth Endures!
I thank God for leading me to this godly speaker. He has been gifted to take the deep things of God and make them real to the child of God.
He does not sermonize but what is in his heart flows out with the love of God.
Fullness all in through Jesus. I have grasped now. My life hidden in Christ with God. Glory. I was given before the Foundation of the world. Who I really am. Never to be plucked. Always my favorite Scripture. “My yoke is easy, My burden is light. Come unto to Me, I will give you rest. Many expositions now Pastor - 3 today - I didn’t know I would encounter you the 2nd and 3 rd time. It wasn’t by accident. You have shown me Christ’s Love for me, my Union with Christ and I will suffer with Christ and bear fruit here. Death inside, the Crucification of Christ. Comfort received over and over. Paul, then Saul coveting the light all around Stephen, his face. The head and shoulders above him. Stephen’s death was Paul’s Life. United in Christ. He tells me what to do. The Scripture tells me how to do it. I hate what God hates, love what God loves, the Scripture tells them. My Father God loves me, I don’t have to pretend anymore, the face uncovered. I have suffered because United with Him. I thought many times, you can’t be on the Cross, suffer as Christ. That wouldn’t be right I told myself. It is Truth, never taught this way. Putting on the Fruits of the Spirit, how many times I have. So easy to love, make peace for others, love others, able to forgive. The in dwelling of Christ. It is right, it is the Truth. Comfort Peace Love Hope never ending. Amen.
Sinclair Ferguson has a depth of insight and a gift of communicating, the outcome of which is absolutely effective ministry.

Brother Paul is just earnest.
Dr. Ferguson may not be bombastic in his sermon delivery but he is a gifted preacher and teacher; he is a man of God and his life bears it out. I have not seen him in person but I am blessed by his sermons which I listen on You-tube.

Excellent. Not only for pastors but for an unlikely mystic. I have been through the fire of the holy spirit described fully by St. John of the Cross. This explains divine union. But at the end of it is the light. If you go through it remember that. Again this is Christ inspired. Excellent.
This podcast is from 9 years ago, when i was first “following” Ligonier Ministry, and R C, and Sinclair Ferguson. I remember this podcast, because, for some odd reason, these gentlemen were actually using ME and MY understanding of the “Holy Spirit” and many things, Biblical. Unfortunately, my “learning” in Biblical interpretation has GROWN into a more “mature, Spiritual (“in Christ”) point of view, and the thoughts that they STOLE from me, then, were not “accurate” and did NOT have a “firm foundation” under them. My name is Rochelle D Caffee, and i am NOT the President of the USA, nor am i the Apostle Paul, or Jesus, but, simply a “woman, (not gay or trans), private American Conservative, Protestant, Christian, mother and grandmother, who has spent much time “in the Word” studying, meditating on, praying for wisdom, and memorizing, as well as reading and studying about “Reformed Protestant Christian” Theology. I am writing THIS note, to all, in 9/10/23, at age 71 years old. I had always “liked” these men, and respected them, until, in a later podcast, after taking advantage of me, privately, in my own apartment space, and using MY MATERIAL for THEIR “agenda” i was deeply hurt by what they were doing, and, WORSE, no matter how much i complained, the abuse went on and on. Other “radio preachers” have done likewise, to me as well. So, always be a “BEREAN”, and CHECK EVERYONE WHO TEACHES BIBLE WITH WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES. ALWAYS BE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT AND WHY YOU BELIEVE ANYONE OR ANYTHING. THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE FROM ALL LIES.
