@@jackoh991 Because some homophobes abandon their kids for being LGBTQ. In reality, the post is poking fun at people saying "If my kid is ___, Im no longer their parent". But it is a real problem.
I'm pretty sure the "I've never seen a female orgasm so it must not exist" croud have been living jokes for centuries, minimum. (Luckily, it never stops being funny!)
"it's never happened to me, so therefore it's never happened to any other person despite a large majority having experienced it but it never happened to me so it doesnt exist!!" ah yes flawless logic
Anyone who could have 97 dissatisfied sexual partners and decide that it was the fault of every single partner, rather than themselves…. Is well beyond simply being in denial
The 5 stages of grief: Denial Anger Bargaining Depression Acceptance They're definitely not at stage 5, but past stage 1. Maybe near the end of stage 2?
13:09 As someone who miscarried a rape baby in the early 90's, men like that were typical of the time. I was blamed and shamed for both the rape and the miscarriage from nearly every corner. I should have not worn attractive clothing (a red sweater and black jeans were what I was wearing). I shouldn't have worn makeup. I shouldn't walk so femininely. Etc etc. Meanwhile the man who did the raping was mostly excused as I was a very busty teenage girl at the time so clearly he couldn't help himself. The emphasis was nearly always what a woman should have done differently and never on the man controlling himself. Seeing this is like listening to excuses as to why rape is ok sometimes. Makes me sad this kind of mentality is still alive and well today.
Sweetie, I'm so sorry that you were victimized twice. Sending you love, hugs, and hope from NJ - I pray that you have some sort of support system to help you heal as much as possible 💖
That's horrifying. I'm so, so very sorry. You deserved love, support, acceptance, and to see your r+pist held accountable. I know that you know this, but _none of the ways you were abused were your fault. Period. It also wasn't your fault that the pregnancy began and ended as it did._ I mean this with complete honesty, my whole heart, and zero condescension . . . I'm enormously proud of you for your strength, your wisdom, and everything it's taken you to get through to today. (We don't often tell other adults that we're proud of them. From my own observations, it's something that most of us need to hear more often. So, I've decided to ignore the social mores that would make my words into anything other than a genuine expression of admiration, and I'm telling people when I feel proud of them.) You survived absolutely devastating attacks on your body, psyche, reputation, sexuality, future, freedom, and so much more; lost what should have been a young adulthood filled with joyful learning experiences and growth at _your_ speed; dealt with the beginning and ending of a pregnancy that I can only imagine would have come with wild extremes of emotion; pulled your shattered pieces back together; are able to share your story; and you know that everything about your r+pe and people's reactions in the aftermath were atrocious. I admire you immensely. 💙
I also got 2 but by seeing if each number can divide with other number expect itself in other words not a prime number. so like 9 can only be divide by 3 so 9=1 while 8 can be divide by 2 and 4 so 8=2, then all of it together so like 9881 = 1+2+2+0 = 5. But this answer got screwed by the existence of the number 0
Being called fatphobic for intentional weight loss is like getting in an accident and being called ableist for going through rehabilitation to walk again
The thing about abstaining is funny to me because I'm a Christian and for a long time, I was like "yeah, I'm waiting until marriage. No one wants to have sex before marriage. It's ridiculous that so many people are having sex when abstaining is so easy. When I fall in love and meet the right person, after we get married then my feelings will change and I will be ready to have sex." Anyway, it took me until I was 18 to realise that other people are out here finding it hard to abstain and actually feeling sexual attraction, and I am in fact demisexual.
I've heard of a fair few religious asexual women and lesbians who felt the same way, that it's just so easy to abstain and just fully believed that after marriage they would want sex. Then they got a big nasty surprise when they got married, and discovered that their feelings and desires didn't magically change
HA! Me too. I thought “boy, wow, I must be very mature for my age and for this whole Christian thing right, seeing as no crushes means no sexual attraction! I win!“ No, I was just on the aro and ace spectrums. I am omni (sorta like bi), aroace, and demigirl/genderfluid. However, I am still a Christian, and I find it funny to have LGBT+ headcannons of the Bible. • David and Johnathan were either in a queerplatonic relationship, or a romantic relationship. • God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are pan-oriented aroace. • God is pangender, any pronouns. • Holy Spirit is agender, any pronouns (I use She/Her for Holy Spirit personally). • Jesus is demiboy (possibly transmasc seeing as he might have been intersex), and uses any pronouns but prefers he/him. • Angels are all agender. On earth they are precived as male (or at least in the Bible; probably cause they had to work around misogynistic mindsets to teach a different lesson).
Franklin Roosevelt was elected four terms in a row in the 1930s into the 40s. People were okay with it because he was handling the Great Depression and the beginning of WWII. After he left office, the two term limit was formalized. It was a tradition which started with George Washington (the first US President) but wasn’t actually law until the mid 1940s.
We didn't even have a health class in our school. Closest thing to it was Human Anatomy in high school, and even then it just kind of glossed over anything that wasn't explicitly "this organ is here."
And this is why I’m thankful for the Norwegian education system. We had everything explained in multippel classes. All different sorts of birth contol on the maket were explained in a mater a fact maner with no embarrisment.
We got the good ol “egg meets a lovely white cell, it gets fertlize(r), and it makes a child!” No talk on how to get the white cells to the eggs, no idea on how to apply certain protections, nothing after that. It was stupid how long I thought that it went through the mouth and that’s how eggs got fertilize(r).
@@0gammag0 Ye Gods! My parents explained all that to me before my sister was born- when I was THREE! And if they hadn't, I would've learned it in science & sex education, cos I'm Australian. America, where many kids learn nothing, has the highest rate of teen pregnancy in the Western world. It's so sad; I can't imagine how many awful experiences that ignorance could lead to.
Calling someone fatphobic for intentionally losing weight is like calling someone homophobic for not wanting to come out of the closet, or calling someone ableist for getting glasses because there are people who can't see at all. I'm just so confused at this point
yeah, that video is transphobic. I need to lose weight to have a surgery and them shaming me for losing it is them stopping me from being myself. Yes, I am joking, the logic is just so stupid
To me the best analogy for “losing weight is fatphobic” is that it’s like saying “being a housewife is antifeminist.” The whole point is supposed to be that people should be free to do what they want to do and be what they want to be without judgement. We should be doing away with rules entirely, not exchanging the old rules for new ones.
Precisely! And with the whole "fat phobic" thing with losing weight is doesn't even make sense. You want to (depends on the situation) better yourself by losing a few pounds to feel more comfortable in your body or to better your health. We should be congratulating people for living how they feel comfortable, whether that's working to loose weight or get fitter, or choosing not to work towards owing weight and being comfortable in your body as it is. All is good as long as you're not putting down others for how they chose to live
@marsmagdalene which is very annoying because its about equality of rights and abolishing misogyny, not stopping people from doing what they want/forcing them not to. Like what they're fighting against
@@marsmagdaleneI feel like that’s just dumb- Some people got more privilege than others, or REALLY want to focus on taking care of the kids, or even some kids do need the extra help if they turn out to be disabled in some way There’s many ways and reasons to it, casting this wide a judgement is doing everyone a disservice
@@marsmagdaleneIt depends. You see a bunch of influencers promoting this way of life like the real one for women, with a lot of other conservative values. To me it's basically the Andrew Tate version of femininity. However, anyone is free to live their life as they wish.
Oh, that's self-evident. I disagree with abortion morally, but I am pro-choice simply for the fact that banning it will only drive desperate women and girls to seek out vastly more dangerous ways to do it. The correct way to prevent abortion is to properly educate teens on how to have sex safely and responsibly, and to allow them access to contraception.
@@dmgroberts5471 I agree. If I had to decide whether to consider a fetus a child or not, I'd probably decide to consider it one but I don't bother to think about that because it is irrelevant to the discussion since people only get abortions because they believe they have to. No one actually wants to get an abortion.

We're really not supposed to and we're supposed to be the version showed in the video. 1 Corinthians 5:12 12 What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? So ya, this isn't supposed to be preachy or anything, but again I'm sorry you guys need to deal with the hypocrites of Christianity and I know it's cold comfort but they're probably losing quite a few brownie points with God Edit: not meaning for this to be a plug for Christianity at all, just an apology + verse that may just win you an argument about ignorant Christian and get them to leave you alone (that last partly is very likely wishful thinking on my naïve self but maybe if could if the Christian has a decent character and is just going off of what Christian elders/peers think)
In a nutshell. Though this is largely post renaissance protestant Christianity, prior to that it was "bc church tradition says so" "but that disagrees with the bible" "only the [original] greek version, but Greek is for eastern orthodox losers... besides we don't do 'sola scriptura' round these parts" - but there are post renaissance traditions that, in theory at least, rely on "Scripture, Tradition, and Reason" in tandem
Fun fact: my older brother was born bc my immunocompromised mother was in college and was never told that antibiotics can negate the affects of birth control. We love my brother but it’s really sad that no one taught her that. Some ppl are lucky to have support during pregnancy but a lot aren’t so lucky. :)
Yes, they can. When a liver wants to get rid of birth control, it releases it into intestines after attaching some other molecule to it to prevent it from re-absorbing. But gut bacteria often break that molecule off, so it reabsorbs and went through that cycle again and again and is effective for this entire time. When you take strong antibiotics, it wipes out the gut bacteria, they can't do this and the birth control gets excreted much sooner, making it less effective. It's pretty crazy :o Btw. many other medications and some herbs, like St John's Wort, can also negate the effects of birth control (but it's different mechanism). If you take birth control and need to add other meds, please always inform yourself about it. Make sure that your doctors know about the combination and they approve. Most birth control fails are caused by improper use, so be careful.
Most antibiotics are FINE to take with birth control. A FEW (like rifampin) can make your birth control less effective. But the vast majority of common antibiotics don't negate birth control. Forgetting a pill is a MUCH more common cause of an oops pregnancy. I am a doctor who prescribed both. Talk to your doctor if you have questions...
As explained to me by my doctor, certain antibiotics make certain birth control pills slightly less effective, so using a backup form of birth control is advised. But antibiotics do not cancel out birth control entirely.
Pharmacy tech here. Only Rifampin and very rare antibiotics interact with birth control. St John’s Wort can affect nearly every medication, to a degree.

I spent maybe like 10-15 seconds solving the mathematical problem. The clue was they stated pre-school children solved it the quickest my thoughts immediately went “it’s something they can easily count somehow”. First checked if they counted repeating numbers, then if they counted pointy edges, when I realized what they actually did count. The answer is 2 btw
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Your explanation helped me a lot. I'm too detail focused, I was trying addition solutions cause I had a similar thought process, but I wasn't sure how far into mathematics most preschoolers are. I did homeschooling for pre through k, and despite my ineptitude with complex math, had a great ability to comprehend basic addition fairly young, so I'm very not versed on how much a preschooler knows in terms of math. I totally wouldn't have gotten it without checking the comments. I did the first thing you did too like three times over cause I kept coming back to the 9999 and 0000 both equaling 4, but then getting confused when things like 1111 and 7777 both equal 0. Like I love your explanation cause while I had a similar thought process, I did not catch onto the idea of viewing them as designs rather than numbers until you kinda alluded to that.
Oh the circles didn't even come to mind. I just realised that each number can be assigned an increment, which contributes to the sum of the four digits. That's the programmer brain doing its thing lol

I'm Indian and that symbol is used COMPLETELY differently, it's called the Swastika, which literally means well-being, it's a symbol of auspiciousness and good luck and it represents Lord Ganpati ( more commonly known as Lord Ganesha) it's thousands of years old and one of the symbols used to depict Hinduism along with Om in India you will see paintings on walls of a cross, a crescent with a star (symbol of Islam), and the Swastika (it's used more often than Om), when Schliemann came to India he 'discovered' and spread it far and wide, quickly followed by the swastika, which became a ubiquitous sign, visible throughout Europe and North America. Swastikas would appear in advertising, adorning buildings as architectural motifs, and worn on badges or medallions. Sports teams, from ice hockey to basketball, even named themselves the Swastikas, so closely was the symbol associated with luck and success. At the same time, however, the swastika’s long history saw it become a favourite of German nationalists, who subscribed to a warped theory that they had descended from an ancient ‘master race’ known as the Aryans. This belief persisted into the 20th century, growing more pernicious until it appealed to Adolf Hitler, the leader of the burgeoning Nazi Party, . He adopted the swastika as a symbol of the movement in 1920. In fact the Swastika was tilted by the Nazi's and Hitler and they removed the dots.

Everyone wants to be the size they want to be for their own reasons. It's not fatphobic to want to fit into cute clothes when society refuses to make clothes that look cute on you at your current size. It's not fatphobic to not want to be charged extra when you have to travel by plane. And it's definitely not fatphobic to want to ride a horse without instantly killing it with my enormity. It's not fatphobic for me to want to enjoy my body, enjoy being active, enjoy being able to climb, run, jump, and play. I'm currently too heavy to even attempt skipping without hurting myself. And I just find that kind of sad for me. I don't hate the way I look right now. If I could do all the things I wanted to do right now at the size I currently am, I wouldn't be rushing to lose weight. But you can't do gymnastics when you can't lift your own body weight. You can't ride a horse when you're over a certain weight without hurting the animal. You can't get restful sleep when your bed is essentially too soft for you and your spine doesn't align right and you wake up with back pain. It is not fatphobic for me to want to enjoy my body and it wouldn't be fatphobic even if my only reason was that I don't enjoy how I look as a fat person. Fatphobia is thinking fat people are ugly, dirty, stupid, lazy, and unworthy because they are fat. I don't think that. Fat people can be sexy, dainty, smart, athletic, diligent, passionate, strong, fast, dexterous, talented, and they can do anything a thin person can do with the right experience and the right ability. Fat people do not deserve less because they are fat, and fat people are worthy of every advantage we give skinny people. Yes, health at any size is important. We shouldn't shame people. But we do need to make things more accessible to fat people. Better nutrition, easier access to calorie-light foods, allowing more time for food prep and natural meals, allowing more time for recreation, keeping parks, gyms, and other spaces for physical activity, clean, easy to access, and free or cheap to access. Having easier, less judgmental access to low impact physical activity for heavier people. Having healthcare that seeks to alleviate symptoms that make it difficult for people to live, not just blaming all symptoms on weight and refusing other treatments that could help (pain relief for example makes it much easier for a fat arthritic person to get moving again.) Our concern with fat people shouldn't necessarily be "getting them thin again." It should be "minimizing their pain, making it easier for them to stay healthy and fit, making it easier for them to eat right, exercise, and participate in society. Just like our concern with someone in a wheelchair shouldn't be "getting them to walk again." If a fat person wants to get thin, then they can focus their treatment on that, sure! Just like if it's possible for the person in a wheelchair to walk again and they would like to, their treatment should focus on that. But there will always be fat people. There will always be people in wheelchairs. We shouldn't rip out ramps because some wheelchair users might want to and be capable of walking someday, and similarly, we should not remove or deny support for fat people just because some of them might be thinner someday. TL;DR, it is not fatphobic for a fat person to want to change the way they look, feel, or interact with the world by losing weight. It is only fatphobia to treat fat people differently and act like they deserve any of the negative symptoms associated simply because they're heavier.
I really like this comment. I just want everyone to be healthy whether that's thin or not. I'm considered average to thin and I am on track to get diabetes if I don't start eating right. Actually alot of studies are finding thin people getting diabetes and heart disease. All your points are so good too. Wish you luck on your journey to a healthier you
I also agree with your points, but just a slight correction, calories doesnt really affect your weight because calories is basically a mesurment for the amount of energy (or nutrients) something has. So things being light on calorie are actually worse for you, because they don't have enough energy to sustain you, which can cause you to eat more.
I used to have really bad asthma when I was younger and I still have it to this day. I have loved running, biking and hiking which helped with the effects asthma has on my body. I hate it when people make you feel bad for you trying to make your life easier, by saying stuff like, "Oh that's fatphobic." Or any of that kind of bullshit.
It's stupid. People should support others in their endeavours. Especially if they contribute to their quality of life or health. Only when someone plans to do something harmful to themselves it's ok to stop them. But not by shaming them.
I used to have asthma as well now I'm mostly over it except in extreme cases of dust or when I exercise if I'm over a certain weight. it's not even my stamina but really seems to be weight connected. also I would like my knees to stop hurting which really also only happened when I gained weight. so yeah I'm just going to continue trying to lose weight
The worst part about that "3 elections in a row" post is not the whole denial of the 2020 results, it's that the 2 terms rule is fairly recent, Franklin D. Roosevelt had 4 terms and remains the only U.S. president to have served more than 2. So even if they were right they'd still be wrong.

"Bob's your uncle" is used to express the idea of a mere formality, something that requires no effort.. Way back a politician named Robert gave his nephew easy cushy jobs, promoting him regularly because "Bob's your uncle". ps I think the phrase actually originated when the nephew wasn't sure if he'd get the cushy job he wanted, and a chum said, "Of course you'll get it; Bob's your uncle."

Whenever something says “Children can solve this but adults can’t”, I just assume there isn’t an answer, as kids will give up on that stuff a lot quicker than adults.
I usually look for some sneaky semantic trickery in puzzles like this. Or some pattern that has nothing whatsoever to do with what the puzzle appears to be on the surface.
I agree in most cases but that riddle had a very simple answer that had nothing to do with math or sequences, it was about how many loops were in each set
My biggest thought about the math problem was trying to figure out how hyperbolic they were being about the age of the children, because that determines what approaches I can immediately rule out. I also thought that a problem a programmer can solve relatively quickly might be something where you need to separate symbols from their usual meaning, because that’s relatively difficult for a person who understands them but incredibly easy for a computer, provided you can work out how to describe it. That seemed to fit with the idea of a very young child who would be likely to look at the symbols and see properties besides meaning. I decided addition into the double digits was probably too complicated, which pretty much eliminates any math or math concepts except for counting. Then I just looked at the entries that were all the same digit and tried to figure out what kind of thing might stand out to a small child and sometimes give different answers like that. Holes. Whether or not holes that aren’t circular still count is undecided, because there are no 4s to complicate matters or break the problem if you change the font. The answer is 2. I don’t know how long it took me, but it was a lot less than five minutes. I’m the level of being a programmer where I feel weird saying I’m a programmer without qualifying it in ways that probably wouldn’t mean anything to anyone besides other programmers, which I’m just now realizing is a bit silly.
Same, took less than a minute, the moment it says it can be solved by pre schoolers you know it’s not gonna be anything you have to calculate, the only thing preschoolers see are shapes. Also I’m not a programmer in any way
I think this is the anwser: each digit has a value: '0' = 1 '1' = 0 '2' = 0 '3' = 0 '5' = 0 '6' = 1 '7' = 0 '8' = 2 '9' = 1 And the value of a group of digits is the sum of each of their values (ex: 8096 = '8' + '0' + '9' + '6' = 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 5), so the anwser should be this: 2581 = '2' + '5' + '8' + '1' = 0 + 0 + 2 + 0 = 2. 4 hasn't a value because there isn't a single one in the exercise. I believe this is the right anwser because every example of the exercise validates the theory. There are multiple ways to figure it out. Btw, i'm a programmer too
I'm a medical laboratory tech. Since all the b.s. with abortion has been getting...I don't know... worse? The number of women with certain symptoms arriving to the emergency department has increased to a ridiculous extent. An abortion ban is just denying women proper medical care in a controlled environment. Abortion will still happen. The difference will be that most likely more women will die.
The best description of conservative politics I have heard is (paraphrasing) : "there is no scale, it is a dichotomy, things either happen or don't; the law exists not to protect but to punish" . They do not care about women or babies/fetuses, only about punishment of the perceived sin, that more are harmed by illegality is of no concern.
@@jmvv451 exactly. They don't care about what happenes to the unwanted child and the potentially unfit mother once the kid is born, thus they don't care about the (potential) life at all! They only care about their own moral standards being followed by everyone else, especially when those conveniently won't ever affect themselves!
When something is legal, you can set laws and safety regulations about it. Once it's illegal, people are going to continue to do it in ways that the government has no control over. Think of back when America made alcohol illegal, and there was a boom of gangs selling it and crime and moonshiners and stuff. There was no more safety regulations, so it could contain ANYTHING potentially harmful with no repercussions. The same could happen with abortions, desperate people resorting to something with no regulation or safety requirements possibly ending up in terrible situations. Plus the weird notion my parents have about it being WORSE they offer teens to get abortions than it is for adults, as if they cant make the decision. If they cant make the decision of abortion, how are they ready for decisions on an actual life? They want a TEENAGER to go through pregnancy and birthing a child, then the problem of keeping or not keeping the child and how to care for it or give it away, their own future with school for one and society's perception of them as a teen mom, the other parent's presence or preference on the choice of what happens after its born, any work opportunities, heck they MIGHT not even be able to DRIVE at that point if they fell behind on the process of getting a license. People have seen firsthand how teen pregnancy can screw someone over, especially if the teenagers' parents kick them out or disown them because of it. That teen could lose their entire life and sense of safety.
@@deceitfulhero1723 This comment is 100% the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Unfortunately though, the so-called "Pro-Lifers" don't think that that far. Pro-lifers are just anti-abortion. They don’t actually care about that fetus once it’s born. Don’t care about it growing up with healthcare, with a stable home life, with food, with appropriate education. Apparently, a 13yo popping out a baby is much more important that what happens to the *child* and _her baby._
"retail workers produce nothing for society" yeah I wanna see how that person, who actually thinks that get their food w/o grocery stores. btw I worked service, restaurant and currently retail. it's like squeezing 10h of work in 6h and only get paid 4h. tho retail > anything gastronomy more money and you actually can clap back at shitty customers. depending on the manager ofc, but unlike restaurants a grocery store doen't rely that heavily on positive feedback. people will always have to get their food and drinks somewhere.
The irony in the "see how many death threats you'll get if you talk about tearing into prophet Mohammad's statues" is that religionizing (this is a word now) any kind of statue or sculpture is very strictly forbidden in Islam because when it came down/was made up (whichever you believe) worshipping humanmade sculptures was the norm in the area so it became the biggest opposition. Besides no one even knows what his face might've looked like and unlike the Christian world with Jesus, trying to estimate a face is considered a taboo too.
That's why Click was laughing. It's funny (not really the haha kind though, I guess), because until a couple years ago maybe,I thought what you wrote was common knowledge (context: I'm in UK & was raised Christian but am now atheist, I didn't have much in the way of religious education in school but I still knew that Muslims have strict rules about these things). And then I realised that there are people like those who made the statement about pulling the Mohammad statues down. I remember the first time I read similar stupid statements: i believe around the time when people were calling for removal of the confederate statues (and slave owner statues) etc, and I started realising how stupid some people are, and how lacking education is in some places. I guess those areas tend to me more conservative and are perhaps more likely to be located in "the bible belt", so I guess it shouldn't be surprise that the people making those statements live in something of a christian echo chamber. [not that racism only occurs in conservative people, or that all conservatives support confederate history/ideas, or that all such people are automatically christian, because I know that's not the case]. But in the age of the internet, it's no excuse for that kind of racist ignorance (not that those people are known for their interest in fact checking though) and at least maybe they should have checked if it's even a thing before making attempted inflammatory statements, because they mostly just end up looking stupid. However, it's still dangerous, because while all Muslims will know there are no such statues and would perhaps be mostly amused by a racist proving their own ignorance, there will no doubt be plenty who are angered at the sentiment & disrespect behind it. And there are obviously others who think the same way & who also don't realise that such statues don't exist & who are keen to be aholes. For example, just because those statues don't exist doesn't make it less potentially inflammatory...because some may take it as a call to attack a temple assuming there would be a statue inside (because they're used to christian iconography in churches). Besides _all of that_ , it's also a false equivalence fallacy, because even if there had been Mohammad statues, it's not even the same thing: no one was pulling down statues of Jesus, Mary, or any other religious figure, they were pulling down statues created in honour of a bunch of racist aholes, and Islam had nothing to do with the situation, so why even bring that into it? 🤷🤦 Sorry for my ramble, apparently this one put a bee in my bonnet. Lol.
The bit about the rose petals reminded me of an r/TechnicallyCorrect. If you are at all concerned about having premarital sex, just don't get married. If there exists no post-marital sex, then the prefix 'pre-' becomes meaningless, and it all just becomes 'sex'.

Problems with the "3 consecutive terms" post, for those who are wondering how many points were wrong: 1. Trump did not win 2020, so if he wins 2024, that would be his second term. 2. If he wins 2024, those would not be consecutive terms, as he lost an election in between. 3. If he had won 2020, he would not be allowed to run for 2024, as it is against U.S. law for a president to serve three terms. 4. If Trump had won 2020, and somehow also won 2024, he STILL wouldn't be the first, as Franklin Delanor Roosevelt had done so, and is the reason the limit was set.
Well yeah but also no. There are some loopholes there I give you that but also they really wouldnt be president if they got it from another guy, theres more limitations to inherited presidency than earned presidency and that's in place to stop what you said. My thought process about the first meme: 1.) It's obvious the "=" is not a symmetric relation, so let's interpret it as a function. 2.) The fact that a symbol "=" is used so atypically let's me assume that it's not really a mathematical riddle. The intro text is probably just a red herring as well. 3.) Just to be sure check some simple function like cross total or cross products. It's not it. Probably some optical characteristics like circles, loops, corners,... 4.) The quadruplets (0000, 1111, ...) all are either 0 or 4, so it seems to be a property of each single numeral. 4444 and 8888 are missing. (There's actually not 4 on the left-hand side at all. Why?). 5.) We need the value for 2581, we already know 2 -> 0, 5 -> 0, 1 -> 0. Only need to figure out 8 -> ?. 6.) 0 -> 1, 6 -> 1, 9 -> 1 while 1 -> 0, 2 -> 0, 3 -> 0, 5 -> 0, 7-> 0. Seems the be the count of closed loops in the characters. With this we can infer 8 -> 2. Checks out with all numbers. 4 has a closed triangle, so it's probably not present to avoid confusion. Does not matter anyway. 7.) Final guess: 2581 -> 2 Took way longer to write down than to figure out. My experience with this riddle is not to bother with common mathematical methods.
That comment about premaritial naughties had me laughing so hard because when my grandma first wanted to marry my grandpa the pastor refused to wed them (she was 18 at the time), saying that as virgins they didn't know if they were physically compatible. On a side note, there are so many BS stories saying that in medieval times women had to be virgins to find a good husband which surely was true for nobility (to make sure the bloodline wasn't "tainted") but not for common folks. Especially in rural areas where it was an absolute necessity for a couple to have children intimacy between young couples wasn't just accepted but even encourraged. If a woman got pregnant during this time it was interpreted as God accepting the relationship by blessing them with (hopefully healthy) offspring. If she didn't get preggo chances were she wouldn't be able to have children (with this man) later on voiding the possibility of marriage. And just to make it clear, these were Christians.
Wow, really? It must depend on the part of the world. I wouldn't laugh that hard in your place though, being a virgin was definitely very much expected in rural areas too, just maybe not when your grandma lived. Where I live (in Eastern Europe) this is well known. My grandma for example lived in both rural areas and towns/cities. She told me that if it the bride was found out not to be a virgin after the wedding night, she'd essentially be publicly tortured and humiliated by being carried around the village (bumpy roads) in a cart with lots of nails sticking out or something like that. Also, she personally witnessed older ladies at a wedding (mothers-in-law and relatives probably) who were peeping at the door of the room the groom was deflowering the bride in during the wedding night (the weddings were held at home). Then she said she heard the bride cry from inside, and then the groom and bride got out and the bride was pale and looked sick. Quite an awful description, but sadly this stuff did happen a lot.

For the orchestra one, I remember a similar question being on a big math test of mine once, it was I think if one bicyclist takes 1 hour to reach X, how much time it takes 4 of them, or something like that. The correct answer was 1 hour, it was a test to think about the question, instead of blindly jumping into equations you memorized.
The problem with that though is the thought of whether or not you should write "1 hour" because it's correct, or write "15 minutes" because the test creator didn't think the problem through.

The thing about abstaining is funny to me because I'm a Christian and for a long time, I was like "yeah, I'm waiting until marriage. No one wants to have sex before marriage. It's ridiculous that so many people are having sex when abstaining is so easy. When I fall in love and meet the right person, after we get married then my feelings will change and I will be ready to have sex."
Anyway, it took me until I was 18 to realise that other people are out here finding it hard to abstain and actually feeling sexual attraction, and I am in fact demisexual.
Lol, mood.
The one benefit of abstinence is using it as a temporary cover as ace. Then you never get married and win the system
Lol, kinda me though
I've heard of a fair few religious asexual women and lesbians who felt the same way, that it's just so easy to abstain and just fully believed that after marriage they would want sex. Then they got a big nasty surprise when they got married, and discovered that their feelings and desires didn't magically change
HA! Me too. I thought “boy, wow, I must be very mature for my age and for this whole Christian thing right, seeing as no crushes means no sexual attraction! I win!“

A lot of feminists believe that being, or even wanting to be a housewife is anti-feminist.
@@dmgroberts5471 I agree. If I had to decide whether to consider a fetus a child or not, I'd probably decide to consider it one but I don't bother to think about that because it is irrelevant to the discussion since people only get abortions because they believe they have to. Fun fact: my older brother was born bc my immunocompromised mother was in college and was never told that antibiotics can negate the affects of birth control. We love my brother but it’s really sad that no one taught her that. Some ppl are lucky to have support during pregnancy but a lot aren’t so lucky. :)
Bruh even I didn't know that! That's crazy
It's pretty crazy :o
Btw. many other medications and some herbs, like St John's Wort, can also negate the effects of birth control (but it's different mechanism).

As a chonker I am intentionally trying to lose weight so I can ride a horse without killing it. Checkmate. Yes, society at large is fatphobic. It's hard to find clothing that fits, chairs that don't suck, supportive mattresses, and healthcare that doesn't attribute ALL (not just the relevant stuff) your symptoms to being fat. Like, yes, some things in this world are just punishing people for being fat when it isn't always within their control. But my reasons for not wanting to be fat aren't the same as everyone else's.
Having healthcare that seeks to alleviate symptoms that make it difficult for people to live, not just blaming all symptoms on weight and refusing other treatments that could help (pain relief for example makes it much easier for a fat arthritic person to get moving again.)
Our concern with fat people shouldn't necessarily be "getting them thin again." It should be "minimizing their pain, making it easier for them to stay healthy and fit, making it easier for them to eat right, exercise, and participate in society.

@@felvkitties8 And I wish you luck on your own journey to be a healthier you, too!
I also agree with your points, but just a slight correction, calories doesnt really affect your weight because calories is basically a mesurment for the amount of energy (or nutrients) something has. So things being light on calorie are actually worse for you, because they don't have enough energy to sustain you, which can cause you to eat more.

Whenever something says “Children can solve this but adults can’t”, I just assume there isn’t an answer, as kids will give up on that stuff a lot quicker than adults.
Usually it is, but sometimes it's a hint.
Yeah also there are impossible riddles that end with "can you solve this" which children are more likely to answer "no" which would then be right.
I take it to mean it's so easy that adults will over think it but kids see it at face value.
I have no clue what you just said but now I feel even stupider then I did before.
@@gingerpellet7174 tldr version: count the 'circles' - a 9 has one circle, an 8 has two, a 7 has none.

Also I’m not a programmer in any way
i got 1 so i guess i was slighly close
I think this is the anwser: each digit has a value:
'0' = 1
'1' = 0
'2' = 0
'3' = 0
'5' = 0
'6' = 1
'7' = 0
'8' = 2
'9' = 1
And the value of a group of digits is the sum of each of their values
(ex: 8096 = '8' + '0' + '9' + '6' = 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 5), so the anwser should be this:
2581 = '2' + '5' + '8' + '1' = 0 + 0 + 2 + 0 = 2.

Problems with the "3 consecutive terms" post, for those who are wondering how many points were wrong:
Also didn't Franklin win 4 times and died in the first year of his last term and his wife just did the rest?
The original two term limit was a tradition set because Washington only ran twice. FDR's four terms set the limit into written law.

My thought process about the first meme:
1.) It's obvious the "=" is not a symmetric relation, so let's interpret it as a function.
Why?).
5.) We need the value for 2581, we already know 2 -> 0, 5 -> 0, 1 -> 0. Only need to figure out 8 -> ?.
6.) 0 -> 1, 6 -> 1, 9 -> 1 while 1 -> 0, 2 -> 0, 3 -> 0, 5 -> 0, 7-> 0. Seems the be the count of closed loops in the characters. With this we can infer 8 -> 2. Checks out with all numbers. 4 has a closed triangle, so it's probably not present to avoid confusion. Does not matter anyway.
7.) Final guess: 2581 -> 2
Took way longer to write down than to figure out.

@@Marina_7 wait why'd the bride cry?
@@Corridor3000 well pain I assume, forced rushed sex under high pressure and she was a virgin, can't have gone well... and who knows if he even cared about her at all or they just married because it was a good match.

I knew it had to be something a child could solve, so I went through a few theories of how addition and subtraction again until I read the question again and thought maybe it isn't math and first tried straight lines then circles.
Yea. I just figured it out using number replacement cypher. Much harder.
I figured out by noticing that four repeating digits is either 0 or 4. And that both 6666 and 9999 is 4. Also, technically, it’s closed loops, not circles, I think.
I just noticed that only numbers containing 0, 6, 9, and 8 had values and that 0, 6, and 9 had values of 1 and 8 had a value of 2. the ones where all four numbers were the same gave away the first part and the eights were the only other thing that made the math make sense.
