The thing I love most about this mask is that it really seems well thought out and executed not only in terms of the essential functions we expect from a mask but also to the extra features such as the scented replaceable filters to the pouch to the sleek, modern design.
I completely agree. You can really tell a lot of time was put into perfecting this product in the best ways. Definitely one of the better masks out there.
The filters effectiveness is the same as the blank mask filters (ab 30 day). The scents of the specific filters start off strong and over the course of the month loose their strength of smell, but are still effectively in working order.
@@ThisHandleIsInteresting For the first week the scent stays very strong, but by the time it is on its last week the scent is much weaker. The smell is still noticeable throughout all 28 days but is clearly not as noticeable towards the end. I do still prefer the scented ones over the blank filters.
@@paul_odonnell Definitely agree. My vocals and throat get dried out at my place of work (Regal cinemas) as there’s a lot of dust on the carpeting that I imagine hasn’t been steamed since its inception, and the stale popcorn maker smoke pollutes the air hours on end. Having the air inside the mask only being tea tree scent is actually perfect for this kind of situation. Tea tree essential oil in a vapor is also good for the voice.
The mask does create a seal around the bridge of my nose. Each filter has this foam-like bit that allows the mask to rest easy and comfortably on your nose. You can also adjust the tightness of the mask around the nose part to fit your nose best. Even when I would make it tighter than normal for my nose it wouldn't really get sore or bothered.
It Is certainly doable, I have done some shorter workouts with it. Although, if you plan on doing a long workout you might start to have difficulties breathing since the mask is multi-layered (thick for a mask). I think if you’re doing rapid workouts and are breathing heavily and quickly, this mask would not be the best. But I personally haven’t done any super intense workouts with it so I cannot be certain. Hope this helps!
This is a review of the original (oldest) version of the AusAir Mask. The new one does look very interesting but I have still been super happy with this model!
I've had the mask for over 10 months now and have not had any durability issues with it yet. I wear it to class everyday and wear it when I go out for food/shopping/events/etc. I have hand washed the mask several times, thrown it in a stuffed backpack where it gets crumpled up, and have obviously stretched the ear bands many times to put on the mask. I am quite pleased with the durability of the mask so far!
@@paul_odonnell Mine's arrived a week ago, the main issue that I'm having with it is the condensation that builds up in the valves, it builds up to the point where it can drip out of the valve. Is there any solution to this?
Yeah! If you are looking for something long term this is a great option. The more I have worn the mask the more comfortable I have got with it. The filters are also still one of my favorite things.

Is the longevity of the botanical scents the same as the filters themselves or they like gone after a day of use?

@@paul_odonnell So botanical scent for a single filter lasts as much as 28 days?

I own one.
The only negative is that the filter is expensive. So i have to change my filter every 3-6 month. Not every month lol
Yeah... the prices for the filters have gone up since I've made this. Definitely a pricey investment if you're supposed to replace them monthly.
Thanks I needed review w glasses
Glad I could help!

Thanks!!! I'm a big fan of old Star Wars merch.
Good review. Might get the grey one.

looks the same as the airinum mask from sweden.
I see the similarities, main thing I notice that this mask has over the Airinum are the different essential oil scented filters.
needs more gandalf
I am sorry Gordon. He was delayed.
