Ischigualasto is a national park in Argentina.

Ischigualasto Provincial Park is located in the northwestern part of Argentina, in the province of San Juan, and is one of the few places in the country designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park is a huge open-air paleontological museum covering more than 600 km². Scientists consider it the most complete collection of fossils from the Triassic period of the planet, which is more than 200 million years ago. Dinosaur skeletons and fossilized evidence of plant life on Earth from that distant era have been discovered at Ischigualasto.
Visitors to Ischigualasto Park are attracted not only by the prehistoric reptiles, but also by the surreal scenery. The natives have dubbed the region 'Valle de la Luna' (Moon Valley), which is only partly true, as the landscape is based on fantastically shaped and reddish cliffs that glow in many shades of scarlet at sunset, taking visitors on an extremely realistic Martian journey.
