Awesome footage the 360 camera captured it perfectly. Very well put together with great background music thank you 👍 some of the best on bike material I’ve seen.
Great wee vid bud, but I feel I must point out several boo boos. When riding a single track road with traffic approaching you must stay on the left hand side of the road at all times. If the passing place is on the left ,pull into it, if it is on the right then stop on the left so the oncoming traffic can use the passing place. Every day is a school day.
Yeah I'm aware of that, but as it wasn't busy I thought I'd make it easier for the oncoming camper vans to just crack straight on, rather than having to pull in🤷♂️
@@thelikeablerider8800 Yep - usually, there is no "good" time to do the NC500 outside of November - February (when the weather sucks and you wouldn't want to go!!), so you found some weird, tiny, gap in the business...!! 👍
It used to be brilliant when it was called the tourist route, the roads were empty, you could ride 60 miles and not see another vehicle. Now with the NC500 and Instagram you see loads of campers, bunches of super cars travelling in convoy. I had to start going to the Outer Hebrides the last time I was on my bike up there. But saying that I love Wester Ross and have stayed in Lochcarron many times. Good video great memories 👍
Lovely treat for a Saturday evening, you really were blessed by the weather and saw the country at it's very best. Definitely worth a bit of rough road for the views and the solitude.
All adds to the adventure! To be honest If I lived in the UK, or even expored it more, I'd have an adventure bike, the XR is wasted on knackered roads!
Great ride. Me and the wife rode over it in sunshine on the 15 July then followed a thunderstorm all the way to Rosehall near Lairg. 1st tour of Scotland on the bike and want to go back already.....
Did siloth right down the coast to hardknott pass onto windermere 2 of us om motorbikes amazing ride.looking forward to Scotland next year loving ur stuff.
Bealach na ba, awesome, fell off going round that lovely off camber hairpin, should have been in first! Awesome scallops and beer at the Inn though but the weather was pants when I did it that time. Lovely roads up round to Shiedaig as well, must get up there soon😎👍
Excellent brother, My mates and i did the pass the week after you 08.00 start misty as f . Bloody enjoyable . Keep it going and stay safe me owld sausage 🤙👍
Great video. You got lucky going over the pass & little traffic. In bad weather it's another story & likewise with a lot of inexperienced car & van drivers can make things very dangerous on those very tight off camber switchbacks
I can imagine that whole single track affair could be a right headache in peak season, luckily the summer holidays are earlier in Germany to Scotland, so got it all done before they broke up👌😎
Who did you pay for that weather??? (Having said that, I was up there two years ago, didn't do Applecross, and it was 32 degrees and it was giving the locals a hard time, they just don't get it that hot! lol)
Interestingly it's being reported in some newspapers that the locals (probably those not earning a direct income from it) are starting to complain bitterly about the popularity of the NC500 and how the sheer volume of tourists are ruining the area. However, for once it's not about motorbikes but the volume of campervans, how inconsiderate they are, the congestion they cause and how they fill all the parking spaces and beauty spots. I've not ridden the NC500 so can't comment.
I'd heard that too, luckily as I was there just before the school holidays, so it was fairly quiet, I bet high season is a nightmare! I'd heard that it had blown up there due to COVID, as that was one of the only holidays people could go on. I would be such a shame if things change there for that reason!
Great footage.
Love that road and thanks for filming it . 🏴
Brilliant Shaun, we love Scotland even in our Campervan, excellent production and a treat to watch and listen, ride safe.
Cheers Derek, I'll go back there again for sure and maybe explore what inland has to offer.

Thanks very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it👍😎
Done this a good few times and even better when you get the weather. The road from Applecross round the coast is great as well.
AppleCross is breathtakingly beautiful, the wide angle lens and most photos don't do it justice. Very enjoyable travel series.
Yeah that's the down side to action camera's, seeing it live is always a different experience. On the plus side, they capture everything👍

WOW! Just wow!! Scenery, weather, almost total lack of traffic - you truly are blessed!! ;) :) :D Love it!!
Luckily the Scotish summer holidays were later than in Germany, so managed to avoid the chaos🙄

Another beautiful sunny day for biking,
Looks stunning, fine for tractors 🚜 those crap roads .

Easily done I'd say! Yes the Apple Cross Inn was proper nice, they weren't even open when I got there, but they served me anyway.
Excellent brother, My mates and i did the pass the week after you 08.00 start misty as f . Bloody enjoyable .
Keep it going and stay safe me owld sausage 🤙👍
All adds to the adventure, I love a challenging ride👍😜
Nice one! Certainly did something right to appease the sun gods!
Vast is a word i only ever use when on the nc5, it’s simply beautiful. Would love to do it in winter
Agreed! With snow up on the mountains it would look amazing.
Love watching these. Doing the nc500 in July. Be a good test for my new else made seat on the XR
You'll have an amazing time, especially if the weather is as good as I had it
Another great video You sure know how to keep people’s attention throughout the video the mix of music film and commentary is superb.
Thanks very much for such a nice comment, much appreciated and I'm so glad you think so👍😜

Such a nice pass. I have ridden it a few years ago🤙
I did the pass 2 days ago, landed lucky with the weather 😊

Yje Be 'lach na bar was kind, been half a dozen times and always p55ing it down.
Beautiful place tho'.
I think I'm going to have to get my motorbike licence .........!
Do it, you'll never look back!👍😜

I know right! It stayed around 20 degrees with clear skies, best riding weather you can hope for.
I’m going back home ….
Been away far too long
Army life takes us away and it’s hard to get home 😢
Not sure there’s better roads anywhere else …

Beautiful country! Definitely on my bucketlist!!!! Love the bike!!!! Im torn between xr and a gsa
I found the XR not ideal for the UK roads, I own an adventure if I lived there.
