Dame Maggie Smith was such a great actress, who also had a razer sharp tongue and yet was still loved by everyone who met or worked with her. So many sad losses in the HP world.
Phones are such a plague. Can people not just experience something without recording a video that they’ll literally never watch again?
It’s so bad. For every crowd, there’s always a sea of phones recording every moment. What irks me the most is when it’s at concerts that are already being professionally recorded at a much higher quality.

This was incredibly sweet, and I'm sure it would've touched her greatly. As my tribute, I posted to my Twitter page a piece from the "Deathly Hallows 2" score, specifically the scene where Professor McGonagall awakens the statues to protect Hogwarts. I captioned that with her famous line, "I've always wanted to use that spell", and my own words -- "What a woman" -- underneath it. She truly was an incredible human being. (9/28/2024)

There’s something ghoulishly insincere about such overt displays of supposed grief. These people are there for the viral moment. Not for Maggie Smith or her family or friends.
