Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 (with voices!) part 5: E.G.G. Station Zone

Dr. Eggman has retreated to his new floating fortress with Sonic in fast pursuit. The villain makes his final stand, as he throws everything he has at Sonic, but the heroic hedgehog is more than ready to face every obstacle put before him. At the end, Eggman unleashes a new and improved version of his beloved Death Egg Robot, but since it uses many of the same techniques as the classic version, Sonic is more than confident he can defeat this imposing threat...

3:54 yeah you probably expected me to hate this final boss even though I beat it third try so I’ll get into ripping this crap apart. For starters this boss is a blatant rehash of the death egg robot from sonic 2 with the only differences being that you have rings and a homing attack. Plus its hit box is MASSIVE compared to the far tighter hit box the death egg robot had in sonic 2. But that’s only phase 1. In phase 2 the robot becomes invincible and starts prancing about which is REALLY annoying. Plus it throws in shots and lasers at you from a distance JUST to be safe. What you need to do is either hit the arm in a VERY specific position or you’ll take damage, or wait for it to hit the ground and then hit it 3 times to hit the arm back at death egg robot in order to stun it. Not to mention you can ONLY get around 4 hits on him before it regains its senses. And do you know how long it usually takes to beat this thing? Usually 24 but sometimes it’ll take 30. Okay after enough hits the robot then tends to take out the floor by dive-bombing into it but where it does is completely random and if you take too long, you die and have to do the whole fight over again. Oh and that music is ear-bleeding. It hardly fits for a final boss before looping ENDLESSLY. However as much as I haven’t played sonic chronicles, what makes this final boss slightly better than imperator Ix is that sonic 4 is a very short game I beat it in a single afternoon so at least getting to this final boss doesn’t take ages like in chronicles. But still this final boss is pain in every sense in the word.
