Another fantastic video. I really regret living too far to attend the live sessions. But i really like the way you simplify the whole process. It has helped me a lot already.
We are taking our camps on the road. We will be in Colorado Springs, June 21-23. Then Calgary, Canada on July 12-14 and Sarasota, Fl October 25-27. We are working on another in Arizona.
Great video. I will be working on it and maybe you will umpire my game again for 40's in Vegas next year. If I had a good BP pitcher like that I could work on some things.
Amazing video explaining the mechanics in the simplest of terms. My teammates on my coed rec team were asking me last season for hitting advice but I couldn't articulate it a way that helped them much (I told them to keep tight, use less leg kick and to open up more of their hips) I will be sharing this video with them for sure.
Great video showing simplicity and the right techniques will produce the best results. Another big key for practice is having a pitcher throwing 80% strikes like this awesome BP pitcher you have ha
Bob, do you do private hitting instruction in Florida? I play ball in CT but go down to Delray Beach often to visit family. It’s worth a drive up to you for a lesson. I’d love a lesson from Bogey but not flying to Wisconsin any time soon!! I’ve watched both y’all’s videos multiple times. The extended version of this one is fantastic.
Yes I do. Send me a text at 772-332-5172 and let me know when you will be down again. I've had several people fly down and stay close by. We do 2 hours one day and 2 more the next to get you going.
With the technology that’s out these days, the bats create a trampoline effect that I think, takes away the need to move mass. Find a weight and balance that feels good in your hands. I swing a 26oz bat and I’m 6’2”. Bat speed and barrel control are very important!
When the front foot hits the ground, are you putting the pressure on ur front heel when it hits the ground or front or right in the middle? and should there be a slight natural bend or should it be completely straight?
You actually land on the ball of the foot (that bone just before your big toe) Your front knee absorbs the forward movement and then as your hips rotate, the left hip moves away from the pitcher and your front knee extends, keeping your weight from moving onto the front leg. You should finish with your front foot down and your back foot with its heal off the ground. Center of gravity balanced between the two feet.
When you “turn on” an inside pitch you hit it out in front of the plate. This means you had more time to create bat speed as well as more force, which makes the ball go farther.
I know the Marieo Foster is a good bat. Only 500 hundred were made and the general public got shut out. Rawlings gives no information whether more will be made or when.
Always amazing knowledge being shared but most importantly, with a quality mic which makes this video even more valuable!
I'm learning, now i need some fancy graphics and editing.
good stuff, great player and guy!
Thank you kindly!
Love your "Less, more, less" analogy/explanation. I am always looking to create more hip drive. You're one of the best Bob!
Awesome, thank you!
Thanks for this Bob! Looking forward to getting the whole show in Calgary in July.
Looking forward to it Gary. We will be doing a 2 1/2 day camp in Calgary for Gary's Softball group and friends. July 12-14, 2024.
Thank you for this. I needed that and comparing to other videos, yours made more sense.. awesome video

I live actually in Europe :)
@@obtv9489 Is there a website with this information? Your facebook link doesn't seem to be working. Thanks.
Excellent presentation. The body is centrifugal force and the hands are centripetal force.
You are correct… it’s so much easier saying Centrifical though!
Great video. I will be working on it and maybe you will umpire my game again for 40's in Vegas next year. If I had a good BP pitcher like that I could work on some things.
@@softballbyfat finding someone that can throw strikes is important, good luck

Great to hear! Thanks. Please share the arm care and throwing form video the list, it’s great for the guys and the girls.
Excellent video

Yea, she's a keeper. Doesn't like to come watch me play anymore, say's she's seen enough, lol!
You probably just described every flaw in my swing!!!!
Hope you’re hitting it well!
Best bat ever used is miken velocite good vidieo bro
That was an amazing video.
Glad you enjoyed it

How would you recommend picking the best slowpitch bat weight to swing for someone?

Oh oh, at 16:39 looks like a full shoe length forward. It’s hard to not do that sometimes, especially when you already have two strikes.
lol! Yea, some pitches you have to do whatcha gotta do. 80% of the time though you need to repeat the good mechanics. This is what builds consistency.
When using BP balls, what is more practical??? .52 cor 300 or .44 cor 375
What are your sticks built for?

For some reason when I have an inside pitch & open up I get way more power than a pitch over the plate. Not sure why…
When you “turn on” an inside pitch you hit it out in front of the plate. This means you had more time to create bat speed as well as more force, which makes the ball go farther.
Your pitcher throws good balls !
She’s a keeper!
I wish my honey would pitch me BP :) .... Good info here Bob!!! Keep it coming!!!!
Thanks 👍
Ayyyright 😉
