The issue is: before you could play a more realistic kind of game, but it was up to the player. Now you need to be a full time player to get anything good. Not everyone have 8 hours a day to play the game.
That’s exactly how I feel and why I’m done playing. I usually get 1 hour max to play and normally I’m spending 50% of thar time reloading the game bc it freezes or crashes

My friend is trying to hunt his first grate one black bear, he has almost 5,000 kills and still nothing, and thanks to this update the whole process of checking the lakes takes him twice as long, I hope they will reverse or at least reduce these changes such as the spook radius from tents or the time when new animals spawn
1st they take away both my g1 black bears with the past update, i forgave them for that even tho it took me almost a month to spawn them in. With the tent placement where they didnt spook i was in love with it because it made grinding better and faster for us that have jobs and families. Now there taking it away yet again this game is fruatrating i have spent so much time grinding and puting tents where i wanted them for grinds now have to completing go back and do it over yet again i will not be. Far better games out there that dont make you walk more than shoot.
Tents not scaring animals, and having them render in instantly was the most fun I've had in this game for a while. Was able to check all my lakes so much easier, and I loved grinding tigers for $$. Thankful i have updates turned off, but sad I can't play multiplayer anymore 😢
Not being able to force the respawns and changing the tents is a mistake. I work 11 hours a day and have two kids i don’t usually play until the kids are down. I just don’t have the time to sit and wait for animals to respawn or run 250 yards for every lake. I hadn’t played in over a year and came back when I found out about tigers and the tents changing. I understand everyone plays differently but at least give us the option in the settings to change it.

Changing the time forward by 1 minute still brings in respawns. The grinds are working fine. I just did the fallow grind for 2 hours on stream and didn't have to wait for respawns at all!

@@jider I have found that changes also affect outposts, I have an outpost in teawora can’t fast travel there now as it’s too close to my red deer drink zone. I have had to now place a tent 200 meters from the zone. Madness

I disabled automatic updates since I lost my progress last year ( 700h) with the bug they caused to corrupt data on PlayStation with Emerald coast update ( aswell disabled autosyncto the cloud ) . I don't play online so I will keep grinding tigers until I get the rare I want, then I might update,or wait if they fix animals not respawning for 30 IRL minutes . Maybe just don't update til next map. I will keep an eye,for now,grinding tigers easily.
i think the respawn time is absolute bullshit. the way it worked before worked well for everyone, it was smooth and efficient especially for those of us who are unable to wait around all that time. yes it makes it more challenging but not everyone is up for that sort of thing
they dont care they are just trying to cover up the failure with tigers, so they ruin all spawns to fix 1 animal they made...... it's foolish and lazy it's a shame I feel like I'm watching game of thrones and for years the game was perfect and in one season "one update" ruins the entire thing
@HashMastaHunter you're right. there was literally no reason for them to change the spawn times, but they did it anyway, despite it causing no problems within the community. proceed to sweep it under a tiger print rug to try and "make up for it". some of us dont even care for the tigers at the moment, so why nerf everything just because of one animal?

Just got the game and i have to say it makes sense thay fast traveling to tents spooks nearby animals. Being able to just dart around right next to animals and just let off is pretty silly and also makes trophies less exciting.
Wow the attempt to fix the spooking in tents is bugged. If you now load the game and start in a tent that is near some zones and the time is such that the animals are in these zones you get a hit&miss on animals close to the tent rendering in or not. If they render in they spook, if not they render in and spook if you enter a tripod and exit it again (when you exit tripod). BUT animals 300m away in zones ALSO spook when you exit the tripod! Fast traveling to a tent 150,200 and 300m away from a zones (multiple zones in range) causes ALL to spook. Changing time in a tent to a time animals should be in zone with zone close does not render them in, but glitching with tripod makes them appear. Now they do not spook! It is a jumble of reactions and the spook distance for fast travel is yet not determined. It seems to be the render distance sometimes!
Since I’m on PlayStation I declined the update because I didn’t Finnish HMing my whitetail so I’m going to keep denying the update until I get it my whitetail HM going good
Lady just so you know, from what I’ve been experimenting it takes 15 minutes while being on that map for your animals to respond. And that’s 15 IRL minutes. Also great video lots of information.

Ive been doing a lesser kudu grind for 3 months with two hours everytime playing and i havent even found a 5 medium am i doing something wrong or is it luck? Edit: 4 hours after this comment I got a kudu super rare melanistic
i place the tents between the lakes when possible (150-200 m away) and some along the river, and use the tiger range map. you cannot grind too much with that but i start at 4am and usually spot around 5 tigers when its 7:30. with the 2% rare fur chance you'll get your first one in 50 kills. not optimal but im happy to do a bit of tracking and stalking instead of just respawning them again and again🐅

Another EW update fixing things nobody asked for. Im also tired of their "as intended" argument, they use that every time as an excuse they change their minds about something. Even if they had the opposite view 2 weeks ago.
i was grinding crocs so i could afford the tents for my tiger grind but i guess that plan has to be tossed out the window 🙄. ugh. wonderful video as always, though!
The distance doesn't bother me as much as the spooking. The best situation was when animals just didn't render in if they were too close. Made handling multiple drink zone on the same lake much more manageable.
"M-m-my grind! I'm forced to put my tent outside of a 250m radius and I can't force respawns! Grinding is the only reason I play this game and they've ruined it!" First of all the 250m radius isn't that big of a deal. Grinding is still viable. Secondly this update just makes sense; it's a hunting game and tents make noise. Thirdly there are different ways to play the game, arguably "grinding" is the least fun way, as you're not even hunting you're just teleporting around and shooting animals. Personally I do both, I walk around and shoot whatever I see and then when I need cash I go and start a grind.

I’m confused with the respawns…Jaxy said in the stream this morning that respawns are not affected by how many drink zones found or not found….so if you’re missing drink zones (like trying to grind wt for example) you should still be getting respawns in the drink zones you’ve found even if you’re missing zones but I’ve not found this to be the case. Have others gotten respawns even when all your dz aren’t all found? Maybe it’s just me misunderstanding how respawns work as I thought all zones need to be found in order to get respawns especially if you’re grinding
@@mediaproof960 yeah I feel like this is the case maybe Jaxy misunderstood not sure. I think you do have to find all your zones at least with white tail. The others might be different.
I was having problems with zeroing that if I switched zeroing for another skill it would set the zero for the lowest zero. I would have to hit a load screen for it to go back to the middle zero or switch back to the zeroing skill. This might be what they are talking about with the zeroing gameplay note. This was a huge problem with the double barrel perk with shotguns, as if you switched to it from zeroing your slugs would only be zeroed for 25y.

I’m not going to update the game, literally the only reason I play this game is to grind, and EW destroyed the grind, if I want to hunt I play way of the hunter, unless they change it, I’m not playing the game again
As a casual player the changes don't bother me at all, but of course I do understand why some people are upset about it. Now if on the flipside they'd change the way GOs and super rares spawn, it would at least give all, casual or 24/7 players, an equal chance to mount a GO or rare. But I don't know if the change only works one way, so that it's now almost impossible for everyone, or if they actually changed the spawning as well. Time will tell I guess. 🙂😂
The grinds are working just fine. I just did the fallow grind for 2 hours and didn't have to wait for respawns at all. Putting the time forward by 1 minute works just fine - brings in respawns. And they reduced the spook radius of tents - it's 180m and was 250m before the June update. I'll be making a video showing how everything is working after the update for tomorrow if you're interested in checking it out!
Is it me, or are there small, graphical enchantments, too? For example, the flashlight now shines on the gun & the binoculars to show it a headstrap torch, & the game looks more crisp, among other stuff. (Im on the series x)

Doing a Black Bear grind at SRP. Big changes - obviously, the tent location is one. The other one is that a much higher percentage beard that I shoot have "low blood", and you have to track them longer. I use a .300. It really appears to me that the chronic complainers about the grinding system have swayed the developers of the game to make grinding much less efficient.
That's what I was thinking Lady. Was that this was actually a good thing compared to the 1st video I ever watched of your's about placing tents at 250 yards. 180 sounds a heck of a lot better to me. But I just did find out about 6 months ago about the way you guys have been doing your tents. But I couldn't get it to work right for me. So anyway. I'm happy with the 180 yards. I was really upset earlier but I have calmed down. I was able to move my setups back for Tahr for quite a few zones so I'm still going to grind them. If it's that bad, they'll end up changing it! Don't quit!!! All of this outrage is because people are so passionate and that's a good thing!
Has it been 2 weeks..??? okay so the whole spooking aspect, has been jacked since the Emerald Coast update last summer...Im still gonna play but, sheesh, the "fixes" are starting to seem more like something just to aggravate players.

Yeah definitely a buns update, I mean the respawn forces is not crazy but the tent spooking’s pretty annoying, having to run 200 meters for 1 (maybe 2 pick-ups if you’re a good experienced player, this not being me) is kind of brutal because I don’t think anybody’s dropping animals left and right 200 meters out
I literally just got done fixing tents and tripods for my Whitetail grind, and now I gotta take everything back down and out it back. This update is not one Im like
Because of this update all my friends and me included have now stopped playing. We are moving on from this game, we've been so frustrated with the constant updates and fixing what's not broke, we've been loyal since the games debut in 2017, but this was the final straw. No more of this bullshit. F*ck the developers and hope they get what's coming to them. People are leaving in droves. If they would focus on the actual bugs of the game this wouldn't be a problem. I just played this game around 2 weeks ago(beginner) and enjoyed the tent and teleport to get the trophy but yesterday it was changed I had to reset and change everything and it's harder in my opinion It's tiring more enjoying
At first I was upset bc of the tent update, it was more fun to be closer to the animals. Had to move a few tents further away today on my fallow grind, started at 1827 kills today, day 16 into the grind. I was a bit annoyed bc i wasn't that much in the mood to play bc i only had small deer last time i played and got a bit tired of it, felt like forever. But guess what, i finally got my first fallow GO today at 1890 kills🫠 luckily my upset mood went away the second I saw him! I'm so happy. Hopefully the next one will spawn sooner!
Herd capacity is repairing too. Like its not just the one animal you kill in the herd that respawns after awhile, while grinding. Other ones you killed may have accidentally killed are gradually returning too. I like this.

I feel like this is a very negative change for the game. People come home from a long day of work to play this game and have fun, not spend the entire night waiting in Real Life time. We're already spending 100's of hours just trying to get a great one. Now it's going to be even harder. I sadly believe this change will lead to a lot more people modding their game just to have fun.
So how does the 3 lake method get broken? Where is that single tiger supposed to spawn if that’s the only tiger we’re shooting? We know it takes longer for it to respawn, but it still has to respawn. Assuming herd management has been done, that single tiger is still spawning at a much higher weight class anyway. Is the 3 lake tiger still locked into that home region? Or did they break it out after this update too and not say anything about it?
Love how the devs say "As originally intended". This is hilarious because they have left somthing such as the instant respawns supposedly "Unintended" for so long, and now all of a sudden the want to "fix" the issue. Well they left it for so long that players got used to it. Its pretty messed up on the devs part to lack the drive to fix the intstant respawns for so long and then throw the 15 minute respawns at the fan base and expect them to accept it. Its their fault they didnt fix the issue early on and they should revert the changes. They risk loosing a good chunck of the fanbase if they dont.
I didn't update my game and can play with the good version offline until they revert the changes. Everyone give the game a negative review in steam! This might help EW make the necessary changes.
I've not bought the game as of yet. Seems to me that the developers could make an option for arcade spawns or simulation spawns. Would seem like a decent middle ground if you ask me. That way if people want to play a certain way then they have that choice.
This explains why I haven't seen any animals rhis morning. Over 2 hours and have seen 1 and only 1 tiger. No water buffalo, nothing. Also, with this update, I hope EW doesn't push a new DLC park. I feel it will not sell because of this update.

Not a fan of these changes or the vagueness of the notes - What is a "normal amount of time" for a respawn? What is an appropriate reaction and range for spooking for fast travel? Some outposts even are so close to bodies of water that they might fall under this spook and its not as if you can move those. If we dont know the normal amount of time for a respawn, how much longer are the tigers going to take now by comparison? Players *want* to know about and understand the mechanics of the game theyre putting their time into, even casual players, so they can spend their time well and also know that their game is working as intended. It feels weird for devs to want to keep their players in the dark about basic game mechanics like this? It also feels pretty bad that they're prioritising uprooting certain playstyles over fixing longstanding bugs. Theres still a plethora of audio issues, issues with dogs/dog behavior, terrain issues and some animal behavior issues but they aren't being addressed. Its their game and its their rights as devs to do what they want with it essentially but making clearly divisive changes when you dont even have audio coming from the right direction in your games is a terrible look.

Alot of people who exclusively grind are upset but id encourage yall not to judge it too quickly. If it doesnt fit your taste, so be it, but grinding is still possible with fhe update, it just will require more thought and prep. That extra engagement can lead to a more enjoyable experience. Not to mention that this is a great update for those of us who hunt with methods other than grinding.

i was grinding crocs so i could afford the tents for my tiger grind but i guess that plan has to be tossed out the window 🙄. ugh. wonderful video as always, though!
They should add hammock tents to the game since there are very few places to put a tent on the new map other than lakeside.
or at least make you able to place a tent closer to an object like a tree or just flatten the grass with it placed on it

The distance doesn't bother me as much as the spooking. The best situation was when animals just didn't render in if they were too close. Made handling multiple drink zone on the same lake much more manageable.
This is so bad, i dont think this is for the better of the game.
I belive that EW had shoot them self in the foot with these updates.

First of all the 250m radius isn't that big of a deal. Grinding is still viable. Secondly this update just makes sense; it's a hunting game and tents make noise. Thirdly there are different ways to play the game, arguably "grinding" is the least fun way, as you're not even hunting you're just teleporting around and shooting animals. Personally I do both, I walk around and shoot whatever I see and then when I need cash I go and start a grind.
If you're using HM, you stack (leave) the 9s and shoot them once your exterior zones are shot down (all small spawns). If not using HM, shoot em!
The most accurate and level headed comment I’ve seen so far. It’s a HUNTING game. Just like in real life when hunting, patience and planning are keys to success.
I’m confused with the respawns…Jaxy said in the stream this morning that respawns are not affected by how many drink zones found or not found….so if you’re missing drink zones (like trying to grind wt for example) you should still be getting respawns in the drink zones you’ve found even if you’re missing zones but I’ve not found this to be the case. Have others gotten respawns even when all your dz aren’t all found? Maybe it’s just me misunderstanding how respawns work as I thought all zones need to be found in order to get respawns especially if you’re grinding

@@mediaproof960 yeah I feel like this is the case maybe Jaxy misunderstood not sure. I think you do have to find all your zones at least with white tail. The others might be different.
I was having problems with zeroing that if I switched zeroing for another skill it would set the zero for the lowest zero. I would have to hit a load screen for it to go back to the middle zero or switch back to the zeroing skill.
This might be what they are talking about with the zeroing gameplay note.
This was a huge problem with the double barrel perk with shotguns, as if you switched to it from zeroing your slugs would only be zeroed for 25y.

I’m not going to update the game, literally the only reason I play this game is to grind, and EW destroyed the grind, if I want to hunt I play way of the hunter, unless they change it, I’m not playing the game again
Any news with the Cuatro Colinas Arc trophy that doesn’t pop up even tho all the missions are completed?
As a casual player the changes don't bother me at all, but of course I do understand why some people are upset about it.
Now if on the flipside they'd change the way GOs and super rares spawn, it would at least give all, casual or 24/7 players, an equal chance to mount a GO or rare.
But I don't know if the change only works one way, so that it's now almost impossible for everyone, or if they actually changed the spawning as well.
Time will tell I guess. 🙂😂
The grinds are working just fine. I just did the fallow grind for 2 hours and didn't have to wait for respawns at all. Putting the time forward by 1 minute works just fine - brings in respawns. And they reduced the spook radius of tents - it's 180m and was 250m before the June update. I'll be making a video showing how everything is working after the update for tomorrow if you're interested in checking it out!

Doing a Black Bear grind at SRP. Big changes - obviously, the tent location is one. The other one is that a much higher percentage beard that I shoot have "low blood", and you have to track them longer. I use a .300. It really appears to me that the chronic complainers about the grinding system have swayed the developers of the game to make grinding much less efficient.

That's what I was thinking Lady. Was that this was actually a good thing compared to the 1st video I ever watched of your's about placing tents at 250 yards. 180 sounds a heck of a lot better to me. But I just did find out about 6 months ago about the way you guys have been doing your tents. But I couldn't get it to work right for me. So anyway. I'm happy with the 180 yards. I was really upset earlier but I have calmed down. I was able to move my setups back for Tahr for quite a few zones so I'm still going to grind them. If it's that bad, they'll end up changing it! Don't quit!!! All of this outrage is because people are so passionate and that's a good thing!

I played from 730 am to about 6 pm …not one tahr i shot yesterday was in there zone today …idk if the update messed up my spawns but literally no males all day
Might be like the Muntjac you have to shoot the females to get the males to respawn. Not sure if it's a bug or intended

Yeah definitely a buns update, I mean the respawn forces is not crazy but the tent spooking’s pretty annoying, having to run 200 meters for 1 (maybe 2 pick-ups if you’re a good experienced player, this not being me) is kind of brutal because I don’t think anybody’s dropping animals left and right 200 meters out
Im still having an issue of Dimonds showing up and getting a lot of trolls being of buy 1 to .05 trophy rating short.

Because of this update all my friends and me included have now stopped playing. We are moving on from this game, we've been so frustrated with the constant updates and fixing what's not broke, we've been loyal since the games debut in 2017, but this was the final straw. No more of this bullshit. F*ck the developers and hope they get what's coming to them. People are leaving in droves. If they would focus on the actual bugs of the game this wouldn't be a problem. I just played this game around 2 weeks ago(beginner) and enjoyed the tent and teleport to get the trophy but yesterday it was changed I had to reset and change everything and it's harder in my opinion It's tiring more enjoying
At first I was upset bc of the tent update, it was more fun to be closer to the animals. Had to move a few tents further away today on my fallow grind, started at 1827 kills today, day 16 into the grind. I was a bit annoyed bc i wasn't that much in the mood to play bc i only had small deer last time i played and got a bit tired of it, felt like forever. But guess what, i finally got my first fallow GO today at 1890 kills🫠 luckily my upset mood went away the second I saw him! I'm so happy. Hopefully the next one will spawn sooner!

Herd capacity is repairing too. Like its not just the one animal you kill in the herd that respawns after awhile, while grinding. Other ones you killed may have accidentally killed are gradually returning too. I like this.
Why did my fallow deer just stop respawning in general they haven’t been anywhere on my map the past two days?

After leaving the trophy lodge the game freezes, the drink zone disappears after being shot even when several animals are standing there

I've killed over 700 and have 3 rares not sure why people say they're east. One in 200 seems about right to me

I feel like this is a very negative change for the game.
People come home from a long day of work to play this game and have fun, not spend the entire night waiting in Real Life time.
We're already spending 100's of hours just trying to get a great one. Now it's going to be even harder.
I sadly believe this change will lead to a lot more people modding their game just to have fun.
So how does the 3 lake method get broken? Where is that single tiger supposed to spawn if that’s the only tiger we’re shooting? We know it takes longer for it to respawn, but it still has to respawn. Assuming herd management has been done, that single tiger is still spawning at a much higher weight class anyway. Is the 3 lake tiger still locked into that home region? Or did they break it out after this update too and not say anything about it?
Not sure. My tiger jumped off of the 3 lakes before the update so I can't test it
Love how the devs say "As originally intended". This is hilarious because they have left somthing such as the instant respawns supposedly "Unintended" for so long, and now all of a sudden the want to "fix" the issue. Well they left it for so long that players got used to it. Its pretty messed up on the devs part to lack the drive to fix the intstant respawns for so long and then throw the 15 minute respawns at the fan base and expect them to accept it. Its their fault they didnt fix the issue early on and they should revert the changes. They risk loosing a good chunck of the fanbase if they dont.
I know I dont really care about spending all of this extra wasted time on the game. This game already eats up my time and they are making it worse.
If i hit a bad shott on a diamond or some, and leave fast and come back, is he still alive when i come back?
Depends if the shot kills it. If you leave while the animal is alive, he'll be fine. If the animal dies before you leave, it's gone forever

I didn't update my game and can play with the good version offline until they revert the changes. Everyone give the game a negative review in steam! This might help EW make the necessary changes.

I've not bought the game as of yet. Seems to me that the developers could make an option for arcade spawns or simulation spawns. Would seem like a decent middle ground if you ask me. That way if people want to play a certain way then they have that choice.
This explains why I haven't seen any animals rhis morning. Over 2 hours and have seen 1 and only 1 tiger. No water buffalo, nothing. Also, with this update, I hope EW doesn't push a new DLC park. I feel it will not sell because of this update.

The grinds are working just fine. I just grinded fallow for 2 hours on stream and didn't have to wait for respawns at all. And the 1 minute trick still brings respawns into the game! The Tahr grind isn't as good but the other grinds are the same as they were before the June update but the spook radius is now 180m instead of 250m like before

Not a fan of these changes or the vagueness of the notes - What is a "normal amount of time" for a respawn? What is an appropriate reaction and range for spooking for fast travel? Some outposts even are so close to bodies of water that they might fall under this spook and its not as if you can move those. If we dont know the normal amount of time for a respawn, how much longer are the tigers going to take now by comparison?
Players *want* to know about and understand the mechanics of the game theyre putting their time into, even casual players, so they can spend their time well and also know that their game is working as intended. It feels weird for devs to want to keep their players in the dark about basic game mechanics like this?
It also feels pretty bad that they're prioritising uprooting certain playstyles over fixing longstanding bugs. Theres still a plethora of audio issues, issues with dogs/dog behavior, terrain issues and some animal behavior issues but they aren't being addressed. Its their game and its their rights as devs to do what they want with it essentially but making clearly divisive changes when you dont even have audio coming from the right direction in your games is a terrible look.

Alot of people who exclusively grind are upset but id encourage yall not to judge it too quickly. If it doesnt fit your taste, so be it, but grinding is still possible with fhe update, it just will require more thought and prep. That extra engagement can lead to a more enjoyable experience. Not to mention that this is a great update for those of us who hunt with methods other than grinding.
