@@visitwithus I think I’m going to have to go on more cruises - when we fly from Ohio to Belize and start at 1:00 AM and arrive about 3:00 PM, we are properly worn out. But you two look so bright-eyed in St. Barts that cruising as transportation seems like a definite win! Somewhat off-topic but we were talking cruises at a wedding this weekend and I knew all about the joys of Viking thanks to you two 🥰🥰 I was glad to be so well-informed!
We never found the chocolate 😢 Can’t remember what day it was but all the shops were shut 😆 Enjoyed the bike ride though (even though we got a little lost and nearly missed departure time 😂) Thanks for watching 👍
Your stop that day was Tournon. You biked across the Rhône to Tain-l’Hermitage. You were looking for the Valrhona Chocolate Factory outlet, not a regular chocolate shop. The friendly Amakristina staff marked it on a map for us. While great, you can find their fine quality chocolate at shops all over the UK too.
Wow - the train that you guys took in this one looks absolutely stunning! I'd never be brave enough to have my hand (and camera) hanging out the window like you - you must be WAY more committed than I am, haha!
Thank you Victoria. We always appreciate your kind comments. ☺️ The blue hat? It has travelled with me all over the world. It’s fabulous and made by a Canadian company called Tilley. They’re not cheap, but will withstand punishment and will last for years. Look them up. (I’m not on commission by the way 😂)
Next year my husband and I are celebrating 20 years of marriage. I want to take a trip to Europe (we’re from the USA) and I think I’d like to do a river cruise combo with a Italy trip, about 14-16 days total. Any tips for us? For marriage or cruising/traveling Europe? Also, I love your videos… your accent is cool and your videoing is smooth, good narrating. 😊 ps… we’re 40, think a river cruise is ok for us?
😂😂😂 no advice for the marriage I’m afraid - looks like you’re doing ok if you’ve made it to 20 years 👍 Italy is lovely, we did a lovely road trip from Pisa to Civitavecchia a few years ago before joining a cruise. With regard to river cruising, we would recommend the Danube or Douro for a first one, the scenery is amazing in both. The Danube does have some very romantic stops such as Budapest and Vienna (both amazing) and you could do a pre or post extension to Prague (also very romantic). Whatever you decide we sure you’ll fall in love with Europe. If you have any more questions as your plans start to come together then please get in touch 👍
@@visitwithus Thank you so much for this awesome reply! I have one more question, have you done a river cruise in March, if so, do you think that is a good time?
I saw the earlier video and you mentioned you were in room 211. Isn't that a connecting room, and if so do you have any excess noise from the adjacent room? We're booked on another Ama cruise next year and I was booked in 212 across the hall and have switched rooms because of that. Not sure if adjoining rooms are as annoying as the same on ocean cruises. Just wanted your thoughts.
For anyone interested, I contacted AmaWaterways and asked them why no electric bikes? They said it's down to weight and higher potential for injuries. I'm thinking they're worried about not only accidents but insurance costs @@visitwithus

The entire bike ride/search for chocolate was perfection 😁

@@visitwithus haha but Helen had such a lovely birthday celebration!!
We’re just back from an early summer Amawaterways sailing through Burgundy and Provence….superb !!
It’s a beautiful part of the world ❤️
As always, a superb video. Love the aside reference to the number “42”. Presumably, you used a Babel fish to help with translation ?😂
😂😂😂
Glad someone got the reference 😁👍
Thanks for watching.
We did this very trip on the Amakristina in September 2021. Loved it. We found the chocolate too. Thanks for the reminder. Your vlogs are great😢

Thanks for watching 😊
Love AMA - their corporate offices are about 15 miles from where we live.
Thanks for watching Todd. We loved our AMA experience ❤️
Happy belated birthday 🎉
Thank you. ☺️ Hx
As always, superbly done! Rich, my husband admired your blue hat ... how may I obtain one for him?

We didn’t notice any noise tbh. It was a lovely suite and very conveniently situated. Hope you have a great cruise 👍
I went on an AmaWaterways cruise a few months ago. I wish they offered electric bicycles. I might be more inclined to try the bike tour

What time of the year did you take this river cruise?
We were there in 2022, end of May to the beginning of June.
Thanks for watching 👍
I really enjoyed watching this video, please make more! Crush your competition with Promo'SM!!
