The visualizer, as well as the song in general is unique in its own way. I’ve never watched something like this before! Edit: It has been officially over a year since this absolute masterpiece dropped. And even after a year, it's still by far one of the best pibby songs to exist! 8:16 This part is truly amazing. Edit: It truly shows defeat to the three survivors, the instrumental becomes more intense, as they witness Seth get controlled by Brian, as they watch Quahog crumble and escape to a new place.

I really love how Seth appeared unaffected and how when Bertram and Penelope were freed, they looked like they were from earlier seasons while everyone else looks more like the newer seasons and how Peter's head is in Synthol's chest/stomach, screaming for help. Well, technically Seth doesnt get corrupted, in the discord say the corruption create a fake Seth to fuse his mind to the corrupted, but that became so instable making the final explosion, and the real Seth just woke up in front of his TV asking if that was a dream or not.

Actually seth didn’t get corrupted. The darkness tried to put him in the world and corrupt him, but it failed because it was breaking reality and only his mind was transported. He woke up from it and was questioning if it real
those who have fallen into the darkness, must face those who resist or fight it. and those who fight the darkness, are going to face a fate that's even worse than death.

Ive been here since A family Guy v1 and Its amazing to see how far this has Come. From a simple 2:00 minute Concept song to a Mod with multiple chapters. Just shows with enough work and time a small little piece of sidework can turn into something huge.

From a simple concept to this. Back then, Pibby mods weren’t crazy as this, but Weednose created 4 songs based off a simple concept by revenant. But now he managed to gather a group of people to create one huge mod as this. This is truly the start of a new generation of songs and modding. Props to the DT Team!
With this I can say that DT was the only mod that knew how to adapt Pibby's corruption to FG, my congratulations to the entire team and what they did with Showdown is definitely amazing, I will always consider Darkness Takeover as one of the best mods of Pibby. PD : THE ART LOOKS A W E S O M E
it went from a simple concept of "pibby finn" (shitty ahh sprites) to a whole god damn apocalypse that shows actual intensity and banger songs that doesn't have "oH tHEy haVE gLItch oN tHeM le'ts rAp bAtTle theM tO wIn" No this is actually a different whole story. (I was a fan of weednose when they started their 2-3 songs, and it made me watch family guy so that way i know the characters and humor. Im glad this mod has grown)
Stewie got desperate enough to break reality's veil and reach out to his own creator. Yet, despite the fact that Seth is a GOD by comparison, even he succumbs to the darkness. Can you imagine what that must feel like? To see your own creator, practically your god, perish to the very same foe you're so desperately trying to defeat?
@thBR11 True, but I doubt Stewie stuck around long enough to find that out. The last thing Stewie saw before he left was his own creator being puppeteered like everyone else. He'd most likely have to assume that his creator really is gone.

This has to be the greatest preview I've ever seen. From the creatures that Joe and Cleveland were turned into, to Adam west crashing down into the battlefield, and later being seated in a throne of his own making, showing his place in power, to Stewie literally BREAKING REALITY, resulting in a confrontation between Stewie and Seth McFarland, animator and animation. The amount of detail that is in this concept is spot on, including the return of Synthol, and Brian corrupting his own voice actor! It's an all out WAR between realities and powers, and the stakes are higher than they've ever been in the ENTIRE SERIES. Absolutely amazing work! You deserve every amount of praise and recognition from this community!

10/10 the vibe and artwork and everything about this was absolutely perfection! The way Stewie and Seth where actually talking was quite insane and Seth himself could be the Powerful since I could imagine Specific people getting corrupted and having their creator on their side (Homer and Matt Groaning, Stan and Seth Himself) and all the vibes about this is perfect and the way 1:28 Mayor West dropped down was absolutely Fantastic, and the fact Bertram and Penelope got saved 5:13 shows the fact Stewie can easily save people, now that we had the final showdown its time for our outburst....
They most likely are very pissed off after the events of Aftermath, so they ignored West and went for the kill. That is considered a betrayal, so Seth kills all four of them as a punishment.

I hope stewie, bertram and penelope survived, we know stewie survivied but maybe penelope and bertram died, hopefully all of them survivied and warn the simsons.

Upon watching CommunityGames video on this mod, I was pretty impressed with the ability of making a Pibby mod ACTUALLY sound good yet threatening at the same time. Most people just throw in 50 notes per second and call it a day, but y'all went far above and far beyond. But here... The inclusion of characters beyond just the main cast, the stunning artwork, the amazing composition. SETH HIMSELF!? You guys truly care about both Family Guy and the Pibby franchise, and goddamn it shows. An absolute masterpiece of a finale that dare I say rivals All-Stars from Mario Madness. To pick a favorite part, no doubt 7:17. The melody and harmony of those notes just hit so well. And the visuals that accompany it are so good. Amazing work to all. I can't imagine what Springfield would look like under this mess. 😅

This is over what i expected... The graphics and everything. Seth appearing post corrupted. Bertram and Penelope getting saved. Stewies heroic acts of saving bertram and Penelope after the explosion. And most of all crotheons cut of aftermath is canon due to synthols design. Everything about this, is absolutely perfect!
at 8:38 you can hear all the previous songs. its like listening to all of them one last time. showing that quahog is too late to save. man dt really came a long way. cant wait for the v1 release! also who else noticed the old version of fashioned values reference at 5:45 ? just pointing it out :p
This song shows how OP the darkness is. It has the power to corrupt, fuse, manipulate the victims body, fake being infected for a good amount of time, EVEN FUCKING TAKE OUT REAL PEOPLE. Not only that, but it seems they have a devised plan to take out shows: They start their rampage and corrupt a character that is powerful/different from the others (Brian is a dog, so thanks to the darkness he may smell an exit to the real world, or at least be better at finding it that the others) While the show is disintegrating into nothing, the special corrupted foe then finds the creator of the show and takes them out so they can’t recreate it. The other corrupted people are no longer needed so they get killed along with the survivors. But this plan is foiled. Due to Stewie’s armor, he, Penelope and Bertram are left standing, so Seth comes in to finish them. He nearly succeeded, but stewie somehow managed to keep him away so the trio can make an escape to a different show (alongside BF) But the Darkness is well…The Darkness, so it tags along. Not I’m interested in What happens when we reach the true end of the mod, Stewie and the gang will have quite a lot of survivors with them.

The best way to finish 2023, it was an amazing journey, really surprised to see the corruption be more aggressive than in other songs (look at shyntols core) and to see Bertram and Penelope not only break free, but escape. To see the actual creator of the Show become corrupted is confusing, but amazing at the same time and it’s fitting for Brian to corrupt him since he voices Brian. The little details like Peter having to watch Stewie fight and not sing or the Corrupted citizens of Quahog in the background (like Roberta) are amazing and well appreciated. I’m looking forward to see how the 4 survivors (the three in this video plus BF) will fight the corruption in Springfield. Thank you DT team for the work

Being a true Darkness Takeover fan, I can say that the 1 year waiting for Showdown was totally worth it.
Ive been here since A family Guy v1 and Its amazing to see how far this has Come.
From a simple 2:00 minute Concept song to a Mod with multiple chapters.
Just shows with enough work and time a small little piece of sidework can turn into something huge.

Back then, Pibby mods weren’t crazy as this, but Weednose created 4 songs based off a simple concept by revenant. But now he managed to gather a group of people to create one huge mod as this. This is truly the start of a new generation of songs and modding. Props to the DT Team!

it went from a simple concept of "pibby finn" (shitty ahh sprites) to a whole god damn apocalypse that shows actual intensity and banger songs that doesn't have "oH tHEy haVE gLItch oN tHeM le'ts rAp bAtTle theM tO wIn" No this is actually a different whole story. (I was a fan of weednose when they started their 2-3 songs, and it made me watch family guy so that way i know the characters and humor. Im glad this mod has grown)

This has to be the greatest preview I've ever seen. From the creatures that Joe and Cleveland were turned into, to Adam west crashing down into the battlefield, and later being seated in a throne of his own making, showing his place in power, to Stewie literally BREAKING REALITY, resulting in a confrontation between Stewie and Seth McFarland, animator and animation. The amount of detail that is in this concept is spot on, including the return of Synthol, and Brian corrupting his own voice actor! It's an all out WAR between realities and powers, and the stakes are higher than they've ever been in the ENTIRE SERIES. Absolutely amazing work! You deserve every amount of praise and recognition from this community!

10/10 the vibe and artwork and everything about this was absolutely perfection! The way Stewie and Seth where actually talking was quite insane and Seth himself could be the Powerful since I could imagine Specific people getting corrupted and having their creator on their side (Homer and Matt Groaning, Stan and Seth Himself) and all the vibes about this is perfect and the way 1:28 Mayor West dropped down was absolutely Fantastic, and the fact Bertram and Penelope got saved 5:13 shows the fact Stewie can easily save people, now that we had the final showdown its time for our outburst....

Upon watching CommunityGames video on this mod, I was pretty impressed with the ability of making a Pibby mod ACTUALLY sound good yet threatening at the same time. Most people just throw in 50 notes per second and call it a day, but y'all went far above and far beyond. But here... The inclusion of characters beyond just the main cast, the stunning artwork, the amazing composition. SETH HIMSELF!?
You guys truly care about both Family Guy and the Pibby franchise, and goddamn it shows. An absolute masterpiece of a finale that dare I say rivals All-Stars from Mario Madness.
To pick a favorite part, no doubt 7:17. The melody and harmony of those notes just hit so well. And the visuals that accompany it are so good. Amazing work to all. I can't imagine what Springfield would look like under this mess. 😅

From the first version of afg, I've been here watching ur content, art, music and overall story develop and improve. This is an exceptional sendoff to chapter 1 of darkness takeover. I mean for God sake, THE SHOW LITERALLY IMPLODED IN ON ITSELF. IF THATS NOT PEAK HARDCORE, IDFK WHAT THE HELL IS.

This song shows how OP the darkness is.
It has the power to corrupt, fuse, manipulate the victims body, fake being infected for a good amount of time, EVEN FUCKING TAKE OUT REAL PEOPLE.
Not only that, but it seems they have a devised plan to take out shows:
They start their rampage and corrupt a character that is powerful/different from the others (Brian is a dog, so thanks to the darkness he may smell an exit to the real world, or at least be better at finding it that the others)
While the show is disintegrating into nothing, the special corrupted foe then finds the creator of the show and takes them out so they can’t recreate it.
The other corrupted people are no longer needed so they get killed along with the survivors.
But this plan is foiled. Due to Stewie’s armor, he, Penelope and Bertram are left standing, so Seth comes in to finish them.
He nearly succeeded, but stewie somehow managed to keep him away so the trio can make an escape to a different show (alongside BF)
But the Darkness is well…The Darkness, so it tags along. Not I’m interested in What happens when we reach the true end of the mod,
Stewie and the gang will have quite a lot of survivors with them.
I hope they save seth.

I been here since a family guy v1, and i would like to say that I am proud of the DT team to continue going and finishing the week! Congratulations Darkness Takeover Team!
The best way to finish 2023, it was an amazing journey, really surprised to see the corruption be more aggressive than in other songs (look at shyntols core) and to see Bertram and Penelope not only break free, but escape. To see the actual creator of the Show become corrupted is confusing, but amazing at the same time and it’s fitting for Brian to corrupt him since he voices Brian. The little details like Peter having to watch Stewie fight and not sing or the Corrupted citizens of Quahog in the background (like Roberta) are amazing and well appreciated. I’m looking forward to see how the 4 survivors (the three in this video plus BF) will fight the corruption in Springfield. Thank you DT team for the work

This probably has to be the best song in Fnf history, In the teaser i said the exact same thing and I was right, So many things happened so many amazing parts of the song that honestly shockd me from how amazing this is, Thank you so much to the DT Devs who worked on this masterpiece of a final battle song, I cant wait for V1 to release to actually play it, Thank you so much for pouring your hearts and souls into this amazing song and making it probably the best fnf song ive ever heard, I thought Temptation was An outstanding song, This just Outshines any DT song by a longshot, This definetly needed to be a long song and im glad it is.
