Of these, the tournament arc and school festival trope are the ones that I enjoy the most, mostly because they give the characters a chance to show off their talents in various different forms. They also make for good character growth as some characters navigate through what they want to pursue after high school, or measure up to other characters and see where they are compared to others. With those said, it's also better to know when to have a festival or tournament arc, why the story should have one, and what it adds to the story in terms of plot and character development, instead of just being shoehorned in with little relevance to the overall story.
lol when I heard bout the friendship arc I instantly thought about yugioh "if I dont draw this specific card in my 50 card deck I'll lose!!" *remembers friendships "I WIN!!"
yo your beatboxing goes off? Also, I love the way the music changes when you get to the friend's trope. it literally gave me chills! thank you oreo for making a surprise visit. you are actually making me enjoy anime and making me want to watch it so am very excite to try all of your recommendations!! :D
i've started to hate the "trap" trope, it always just ends up being used to perpetuate transphobia and homophobia against femme queer men. also: haruhi's dad in ohshc isn't a "trap", he's a drag queen. that's why he's dressed like that.
And just the word.... it's not at all what's said in Japanese. A proper English translation of the word would be 'male daughter'. But nah. translators just hadda be shits about it.
This video is good and I want to make some sort of comment. Uh. I didn't really notice the anime trio until you brought it up. That's interesting, and I'm suddenly trying to apply it to anime it's not really in. I don't think Girl's Last Tour has A main trio, because aside from Yuuri and Chito, nobody sticks around for more than A couple episodes.
Tell me you watch basic power fights: She: Telling the attack's effect or yelling the name. Believe me, those are only the popular examples with the huge ability tree that treat their viewers a bit like kids. Many Anime have that in check and barely to never do that or at least by exposition dump.
7:50 when I heard this I immediately thought of when ryujii was running the lucky man race and then minorin joined him and than ran for taiga at sunset
Well Characters explaining their abilities Is called them giving a piece of exposition and it is bad Exposition if not used well is bad and becomes a writing problem It can become bad writing if it is done too much.
My friend recommended to me the food wars but the ecchi was just too much and too disturbing, I couldn't just look away 😂 same with harem animes, the logic in them is just lacking, there is a completely average guy that is maybe nice but that's it and has 4-5 girls that are crazy about him and following him everywhere. Like no way that would happen irl, I can only think of one example in my life where 3+ girls liked one guy but he was smart, nice, handsome and good at sports, still they only liked him secretly and not followed him everywhere 😂
LOL I was recently thinking how most animes I've seen as a newbie has beach or hot tub scenes. Like just randomly there's a cruise to a vaycay with a tub? Random beach volley ball with girls in bikinis..... interesting trope its okay for me sometimes
I just hate the beach episodes, hot springs episodes , and the cultural festival/summer festival episodes with a passion....like I'd imagine the festival episodes for American anime if more existed would be like "FUN DAY EPISODE" , " END OF SCHOOL YEAR PARTY EPISODE", "FIELD TRIP EPISODE", " HOMECOMING EPISODE", "VALENTINES DAY DANCE EPISODE " , "PROM EPISODE", or "SENIOR SKIP DAY EPISODE"😆. however these type of episodes would be a breath of fresh air for anime tbh .
So I guess having the characters having fun is a problem. Don't people like going to the beach? Also culture/Summer festive is apart of Japanese culture!
This is the most cringe comment ive seen in a while. you hate to see characters have fun? then just stop watching anime in general or just look for edgy anime to watch i guess... 🫤
d...dinner???!?!?!? okay... hahahahha
I think I was thinking of The Promised Neverland.
My favorite is how "itadakimasu" really doesnt translate in the west so theres always some awkward dialogue like "let's dig in!"
One year later (and procrastinating studying for finals) you taught me something new today! Thank you!
haikyuu being an actual volleyball anime NOT having a beach episode will always make me cryyy
It's weird, I never really payed much attention to these clichés until they were pointed out...
Good video though! Can't wait to get my PhD in Anime
11:21 dinner....😂😂😭😭😭
you did not just do them like that lmao
the editing in this is so satisfying
It's midnight and your pfp is making me hungry.

I always love the summer festival episodes in anime. They make me feel so cozy and safe, lol.

"I WIN!!"
I love how you put so much thought into this (or any video, really). It's so great to watch something with real structure!
@@inakyu Oh, you're so very welcome! I've just come across your channel and I'm excited to see what you come up with in the future! 😊
11:01 Awwww baby. Your video is amazing, and your voice is so calming. >_
Chainsaw Man will be giving everyone a different kind of beach episode...
jojo's bizarre adventure too
I'm more hyped for the snow episode.
@@The_Real_Hikki denjis birthday was better
Great list, very accurate. And I am completely with you on tournament arcs. Hands down my favorite anime trope. Love 'em, love 'em so much.
7:34 *traumatizing flash backs of the soul eater ending*
this was one of the first anime I ever watched and it made me SO MAD I was so close to entirely giving up on the genre as a whole
I can’t believe she didn’t mention the Dragon Ball franchise when talking about the tournament arcs. DBZ is like the king of them
I looooove the editing and your vibe in general. You deserve more subs!!!!!!!

I feel like training is the one trope that's everywhere
Ahh i love ur channel thank u for making videos❤ you deserve so much more recognition
Wait there’s other anime types besides ecchi that’s crazy I would’ve never known 🤷♂️
There are other sites?
the beatboxing is the best part of the vid hands down
holy shit i was so surprised when I saw the views for this video, how are you so underrated??? your content feels professional
I just started watching ur videos I love them well done I just wanna watch more & more about anime aha

The aot Beach ep is Supreme
i wonder how many ppl who dont watch anime caught a case for hisoka when u should him then started watching and FOUND OUT
This is a video I didn’t know I needed.. thank you 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Best tournament fight is the Dark Tournament in YuYu Hakusho. (To me.)
Hell Yeah, Yusuke vs Toguro was awesome
AND DINNER-
Gurl your so underrated
Never thought of the glory of Alex Louis Armstrong as ecchi before now, but I can’t say I disagree.
Ina, I'm so happy you've caught the algorithim wave, you deserve all the best!
Life is animated.
I think you got them all .good video.
NEW VID LET'S GOOOOOOO
It-
it really do have the properties of rubber and gum tho
Ohhh the festival scenes do usually have drama, and are really fun to watch! Wish I went to a festival in person
I had to leave a like soley for "dinner" at the end omg
This video is good and I want to make some sort of comment.
Uh.

First topic of the video
*Must keep audience retention*
Another trope might be the episode about a character taking a sick time (they get ill, oftenly by catching a cold).
Love that one though :) Its very sweet when one main character takes care of a sick guy or girl
Is it ok if I ask?
Is it a character being sick a bad thing? Because it tends to happen in real life...
@@Theoneandonly._. no, it's not necessarily a bad thing; but it's almost like a rule.
i fucking love beach/onsen/festival episodes 😂😂
Wow 2 days ago you had 900 subs now you have 985. Nice job.
amount of things she got right
@@inakyu your work shows it keep going on we will support u
I appreciate your cometary And your video
How about the trope where the guy trips and falls on a girl and lands with hand on oppai, and other girl walks in at that moment?
Although nonsense .... I do adore the scenes where the power of friendship and love win and make a main character stronger :))
this was very eye-opening

Wat about Luffy, Zørõ and Sanji the Trio
7:50 when I heard this I immediately thought of when ryujii was running the lucky man race and then minorin joined him and than ran for taiga at sunset
I love how the last thing in that video is also a trope. The tsundere trope.
i’m simple i saw hisoka i clicked
i heard your voice i subscribed
Ha I thought sailor moon was the only one running late but BOY this one happens a bunch! ha
So true..in the case of most anime.. Perfectly described the cliches...🤣
So you mastered sage jutsu
hey whats the instrumental you used for number 9
My favourite beach manga moment is from csm its so wholesome 😍
where did you buy that pacman shirt?
So epic and beautiful and fantastic and wonderful
I tried kill la kill but nope

🥺 noragami I see you
"Dinner" 😂😂😂😂 jesus
Ina: Talks about tournament arcs
Shows a clip from Haikyuu
Me: But isn't the whole show a tournament arc?
Me: she didn't show Clips from Yu Yu Hakusho's Dark Tournament 😠( aka the best tournament arc in my opinion )
and DINNER PLSSSSSSS

clich #3 I recommend Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge.
Why can't english speakers understand that japanese has the last syllable as the stressed one in most cases? Like ecCHI
