Yeah, I am sure I could if I knew what I was doing...lol. Honestly I'm just never quick enough on the trigger to effectively use the brakes and when I try it seems to slow me down too much. Depending on the track I do dial in the traction control more. I actually prefer the choke and coast combo on my new OS3 controller to the traction control brakes on my Difalco, it seems to suit my driving style. I appreciate your feedback...thx.
Thanks Bill, yeah the gains with the high end controller were minimal and only really worth it for someone who does a lot of actual racing particularly at the club level.
I had the DS 60-90-120 before I switched to my Difalco 505s. The DS is a nice upgrade over stock for sure, I think you will like it. I just needed a wider range of control so I went with the transistor controller with the sensitivity knob and never looked back.
Nice I have professor motor controllers on my home track sensitivity knob and I have 8 positions chokes on both lanes and full power relays … the weekly tyco race they require everyone to use Parma or DS basic controller.
Really they restrict the type of controller you can use? I have never come across that here in FL at the clubs I race but we pretty strictly follow the HOPRA classes and rules.
@@marksslotcargarage ye controller and everything in chassis is stock down to the shims … one class you can swap tires only with modified dirt car body …other class you can swap tires wheels and rear gear with sprint car body … its fun tho because everyone has basically same car … its oval track racing
@@marksslotcargarage thanks Mark have you run Neo magnet cars on your track just wondering how they run on your track also since it’s white is it hard to keep clean thanks
I only have a few T-Jets but it works fine, that's what is nice about the sensitivity setting, it lets you adjust the controller for just about any car.
@@marksslotcargarage I have a DS in 35ohm never used it though I think I'm just gonna get 3 more of the no frills defalcalcos for my 4'X16' 4 lane Watkins Glen layout I'm starting soon been collecting the tools I think that phase is ready on to the next 🤞
Yeah something odd is going on with my channel, I was at 936 yesterday and went down to 928, I was in the 930s two other times and then it went back to 928, not sure what to make of that but I seem stuck at 928...lol
Great video Mark you always do such a wonderful job and what a nice track great atmosphere beautiful set up..👍
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
As always a good education. I swear by the 505 for my home AFX track.
Thanks Chris, yeah the 505 is perfect for the home track.
Thank you for your video. I have been looking at the 505
Thanks! The 505 is a great controller for the money, I am looking forward to comparing mine to the OS3 Lite that I should be getting today.
Thank you for sharing this Mark!
My pleasure Matt, thanks for checking it out.
Very interesting . Thank you.
Thanks, I appreciate that.
Maybe if you dialed in the traction control some more in conjunction with dialed in brakes you could squeeze more out of the DD502?

Great video, I can see an upgraded controller is definitely something I am going to look into getting 👍🏁
Thanks Bob! If you are using stock controllers an upgrade is so worth it.
That was interesting. I think you answered the question can you buy some performance with a controller. Yes, but its pricey. 👍👍😎🇺🇸
Thanks Bill, yeah the gains with the high end controller were minimal and only really worth it for someone who does a lot of actual racing particularly at the club level.
Hi..I ordered the DS with the 35-45-55 toggle switch, hope it works out for home track 🏁

Sounds like a lot of fun. We run an IROC class as well, it's a challenge, I never know what car it will be....lol
Nice track Mark is that a Viper track looking to get back into the slot cars Hobby. Also, what size is your track? Thanks.
Thanks! Yes it is a Viper, it's a 4x14 Scorpion.

@@ViperMike-c2r I have run pro 10 motor level 35 cars on my track, they run great. WD40 cleans the track like new.
gezzz watching this i ask myself how does the car stay on the track at those speeds
Strong magnets...lol
Question Sir how well do this controller’s work with Original T-Jets
I only have a few T-Jets but it works fine, that's what is nice about the sensitivity setting, it lets you adjust the controller for just about any car.

I just ordered the middle one 138$
Yeah that is basically the DD505 but with the brake option, it's a good controller, you will like it.
