Hi Liz, I tried this actually in disbelief for weeds in the interloc stone around the pool and in my amazement this worked better than any of the toxic killers I have used for years. It is very cost effective, easy to make, but more importantly it works 100 % . Thanks for posting.... Barry from Ottawa
+Heng Amirah It's salt and vinegar...if it's deadly on weeds then yes it will kill your plants as I stated in my description. Pull the weeds around your plants. This is meant for pathways, driveways where you don't want ANYTHING to grow.
I actually made this recipe this morning but... used regular vinegar, should I have used apple cider vinegar? The weeds are not doing anything by the way. Thanks
Your sprayer must be the key along with your recipe, because a hand sprayer is just not enough! Why didn’t I think of this! Because nothing grows around the Dead Salt Sea in Israel! Liz, your background reminds me of areas of NC! By the way, I’ve found that if you mince and swallow a clove of garlic daily, (don’t chew) that it come out as bug repellent in every pore! Humans don’t smell it, but mosquitoes, etc, must?!
After you kill weeds from your Interlocks , clean it and apply Clear outdoor all weather Caulking as I did. Never see any Weeds after that for last few years gone by. Just a suggestion.
What brand did you use and how did you apply this? I have pavers - are you saying to add to the joints/seams of where pavers meet one another? Thank you
@@coleen8214 Whatever brand it is, you're going to need tons of it even if you have a small driveway. It's not really practical. In case anyone doesn't know, this comes in tubes (bit like bathroom sealant) and I guess you would have to apply it between the paving joins or if you have blocks even more joins - hundreds of them. So I don't think this is practical to be honest. There is however a block paving sealer which is more practical. I haven't used it myself but I'm thinking of trying it this summer.
I've used it for years. Works best on a very warm or hot day. If the weed has a substantial root, it may grow back & then apply the vinegar mixture again as many times as necessary while still small.

I had similar results for killing poison ivy by boiling a cup of rock salt in vinegar, about a half gallon if I remember right, and stirring until the salt dissolved. Then I let the mix cool off, poured into a spray bottle and went in my back yard where I had a patch of ivy growing. I sprayed the poison ivy carefully as this works real good and will kill any plants you spray it on. The next day the poison ivy was visibly dying. It worked great as I haven't had a problem since.
This really does work, but be ever so careful as it will kill lawn too. Eventually things come back, depending on the amount of vinegar used, unless you happen to find plants that love the acidic soil :)

To kill all vegetation in walkways, driveways and other areas where you don’t want any living thing to grow again, mix two cups ordinary table salt with one gallon of white vinegar. I use Salt brine (30 pounds of ground rock salt to 10 gallons of water) has given good control if persistently used, either sprayed on the leaves or saturating the soil about the roots after cutting off the tops of the plants. If new growth appears, repeat the treatment at intervals of two weeks. You need to use one quart concentrated salt solution per each separation line between the sidewalk blocks.
Thankyou for responding...But the grass is in the sticker y bushes and evergreen bushes where it is nearly impossible to get it all. It grows better where its not suppose than it does out in the lawn !!! :)
Larry Ogden I would go to a garden center and ask them. There may only be a chemical solution to this than a natural one. Very frustrating. You need something that works systemically on the grass itself and doesn't go into the soil.
Hello Liz. Whenever you spray weed killer, some of what you spray will be washed into the soil and may be detrimental to whatever lives or grows in the soil. If it's at all possible exclude the light from what you want to kill for long enough and it will die, no need to spray anything. A thick layer of wood chips on top of some weed control fabric or cardboard should do the trick.
+Home Grown Veg thank you for that suggestion. In my pathway and driveway that solution isn't feasible but definitely on a garden bed or an area that you won't be using for traffic.
+downbntout Your comment reminds me of a tail our lecturer told us in an engineering class many many years ago. We were doing stresses and strain as I recall and the tail was about a newly laid tarmacadam drive that developed a bump. The bump got bigger over days and eventually a dandelion burst out. This tail was to illustrate something that I have lost with the passage of time.
+Home Grown Veg What about when you have weeds/grass growing through and on the weed control fabric/tarp? What do you do then? I'm trying to get rid of weeds and grass growing on the landscaping and there are plants that I do not want to get harmed. Not sure how to go about this other than to yank the plants and kill the weeds and wait a very long time before replanting. How harmful can this be to a tree if I only want the weeds and grass growing around it to die?
+CENTAUR559 I have never known weeds to grow through weed control matting unless it has a hole in it or there are gaps. If weeds are growing on top of the matting its more than likely that soil has been spilled on the matting and that's what the weeds are growing in. If you can exclude the light not much survives. If you choose to spray, you may want to protect your plants by covering them with an upturned container before you spray. If the spray kills by contact it will only kill whatever it contacts ie the weeds, and shouldnot harm anything growing near by. Hope this helps, HGV.
I'm going to try this as my patio looks like hell. BTW, you DON'T have to use apple cider -- white vinegar will do, and you DON'T have to use Dawn. Most dish soaps will do as its only used to keep the vinegar mixture clinging to the weeds. And yeah, kills them, "brown and yucky" HOWEVER you still have to pull/pick them up. They won't go away by themselves, unless you don't mind them laying there looking "brown and yucky", lol. Great vid.
Dawn was used to wash live ducks that where covered in crude oil after an oil spill, theses ducks and other water animals lived nice after that. I have tried something like this, pretty much the same, yes it works. In my case I should have sprayed the plants closer to the ground, then it would have worked better. You should spray when the dew is gone, this summer we have had so much rain that the dew stays till noon in the after noon it rains. Not much point in spraying if it get washed off in a few hours.
Watched ur video for the 2nd time. Will try ur receipe to kill unwanted zoysia grass growing in my rock garden. Before tried spraying WD-40, mineral spirits n plain white vinegar on separate occasions but it only "killed" it for few weeks ! Hopefully ur formula will do the trick ! I am a new subscriber to ur video. Thanks for the video. Peace
It kills plants but not the seeds. Seeds will grow. I really can't say this will be the best for your grass needs. I've seen recipes with Epsom salt that might be good. Thank you for watching.
sure! works great if you want to be back out there every 3-5 days spraying all over again! It doesn't kill the weeds at all, just burns the existing foliage until it sprouts new greenery.
+Squeaky Ahi Thanks so much for watching. If you are concerned about your chickens, I would Google it. You could use a more eco friendly natural dish soap I suppose.
You can use white distilled vinegar instead of apple cider vinegar. Works great for weeds in my brick walk. But you will need to repeat if more weeds start.
+Evolve432 I appreciate your comment and for watching. Yes Dawn is a detergent but not poisonous. The small amount is so the salt/vinegar will stay on the leaves.
+Sunny Michelle Hi Sunny, I used to live in Las Vegas so I feel your pain regarding the weeds. It is my belief that the salt stays in the ground and may inhibit new seeds from sprouting. I can't really say, but probably a weekly routine would keep them at bay and build up the salt levels. It's always a test with Mother Nature. Thanks for watching.
Hi again, Liz. I used it recently, it's been a few days, and no change. The weeds here might be too strong, or the vinegar is too weak. I've researched that the recommended acidity level to effectively kills weeds needs to be at least 10%. The only available vinegar I could find is 5%. (meant for human consumption, sold in grocery stores) I've looked for higher acidity levels, which is referred to as agricultural (or horticultural) vinegar, between 10-20%, but I can't find a place close by that sells it, and buying it online isn't cheap! I may just rip those suckers out the way I always have, and maybe put corn starch into the dirt, in an attempt for a pet-safe pre-emergent, to either keep them from growing back or slow them down at least. I'm having to do back-breaking yard work at least 6 times a year, for about 6-8 hours at a time, over a whole weekend. And. It sucks. lol Have you ever used corn starch before in the yard? Or, has anyone? Any tips appreciated.
Sunny Michelle Well, I was only giving a particular recipe of many a try and it did work on the little weeds in my pathway. I have not tried corn starch and I'm sure the Internet is full of solutions. I'm no expert and I would suggest you Google the subject. Thanks for your comments and suggestions. I did try pickling vinegar which is 7% acidity.
Making It Easy with Liz I think it's just the weeds where I live, could probably hold up a car, they're so strong. lol But it did seem to dry out the tops of them, at least. Thanks again!
+SunBunz spray on when the air is still in the morning and its going to be hot. you want to spray just after the dew is off. Younger plants are easier to kill.
Thank you, Liz! I had that recipe; however, I misplaced the list of amounts of each ingredient, so am happy to have them again. This works great! One thing you did NOT share is that, after the weeds or unwanted grass dies, it still needs to be weeded/removed from the area.
My dog pees same place in yard and now there's a golden yellow 1 x 1' square of dead grass if only I could get her to pee on the pathway cracks is it the ammonia content in her urine?
I have had success killing weeds with just white vinegar alone....it should be noted that this weed killer recipe will kill anything for a short while including the grass so don't spray on the lawn to kill dandelions or you will have brown spots all over but works great on driveways and along fences and border edges where you don't want stuff to grow
The dish soap works to make the solution stick to the leaves. This is synonymous to adding olive oil to your salad so that the vinegar sticks. Otherwise it sink to the bottom of your bowl. This recipe will certainly kill the leaves of the weeds and grass too. However, it does not contain a systemic ingredient which will kill the down to the root system. Therefore, you might see the weeds and grass grown right back a few days or a week later...whereas Round-Up would have obliterated everything and keep the area dead for 2-3 weeks or more. There is good news about this recipe for pet owners. This recipe is very pet friendly and you'll just need to make more applications than you would if using Round-Up but that is worth the effort for our four-legged friends.
THANK YOU!! i WILL HAVE TO GET MY HUSBAND TO TRY THY THIS. He keeps getting my flowers by accident. My beautiful clementis--gone, a rose or two--gone. I know he doesn't do it on purpose but that stuff drifts and it only takes a tiny bit to kill some delicate flowers. So I hope I can get him to try it.
You're welcome Carol. Just be sure to avoid your flowers with this too...it has salt and vinegar...lethal. I would pull the weeds that are near your flowers just to be safe.
Thank you for the video! ! I would have liked to see the results about 2 weeks later. This seems to be wonderful for those weeds that come out at the bottom of the driveway and the sidewalk cracks. Thank you!
Hello, Wow, that started working fast...........I'm impressed. Going to try this this year and hope to be able to help keep it under control with this. Thanks, Janet
use 3quarts rock salt+ 20 oz. of ajax dish soap only! to 5 gal. of scalding hot water or all the rock salt wont disolve and spray on heavy on a sunny day with no rain in the forecast and clean out the spayer good or its ruined
I bought some Roundup I was going to use it but I noticed that there was beautiful exotic birds in my backyard eating from the grass and eating plants, so I can't use anything like that also I'm afraid is going to kill me, thank you for your formula, I'm going to definitely use it nightmare fighting these weeds breaking my weed wacker thread this is going to work
Thank you. You might want to research Epsom salts instead of salt. It might be a better option. I only tried one recipe that was going around back then.
All i use is boiling hot water with a HEAVY salt saturation and apply to weedy areas on a hot sunny morning---By the next day its all brown/dead........''dish soap'' is a good insecticide, it wont kill your plants and bugs hate it!! (just my $0.02 worth?!lol).
If you don't have the soap and salt, just mix the vinegar half and half with your piss. I know I know... but when you live in the boonies and get laid off from work, you use whatever you can. The neighbor dog kept pissing in certain areas killing my foliage, so I was like "well shit...maybe a concentrated amount with vinegar will go farther?" It worked and I got much more out of the vinegar, Which can get expensive when you have a large parking lot with complete grass and weeds coverage. But when I get some money, I won't be peeing in jugs anymore, lol.
I saw another video on the same weed killer.A few days after the initial spraying;the weeds were growing back.It worked for the first say or 2.But weeds were back in about 3 or 4 days.
It's a great idea to mix the three ingredients, I have seen many others but not with salt and as I was thinking this I ran into your Vlog. Greta idea, going to give it a try. I think it will scare off my cats from that area but not harmful Thanks
Liz - be VERY careful with this recipe. The salt will kill EVERYTHING in the soil for a long time. For spot killing of weeds in your flower bed, try boiling water. Boil a bunch of water in your tea pot, bring it fresh off the flame to the darn weed, and water it. This recipe you have here will be wonderful on a stone patio if you don't want moss etc growing through the cracks. It will also kill moss on wooden decks and roofs - but I wouldn't use this anywhere else. That said, your horse fly hat thing is GREAT. I'm going to use it this summer. I'm also going to pin some of that stuff onto the back of my t-shirt. Thanks
Hadley Allen Thank you so much for the great feedback, Hadley. Yes, I am aware of the deadliness of this concoction and I only used it in my pathway and driveway where I never want anything to grow. I have so many people ask me about the weeds in the flowerbeds and I did not have a good answer. Thanks to you, I do now and will gladly share it. You will be amazed at how many flies you collect on your hat.
The Hadster For bigger weed root system like thistle and dandilion I have a small wire lead from each terminal of a 9 volt battery and jam it into the tap root. Boiling water is my second go to!
Glad I found this video. I have a small graveled area with grass growing through and I wanted something to kill the grass but my cat chews the grass. I think i'll give it a try and all kitty will get is a horrible taste.
+spikeyyak My understanding is some cats, and dogs, chew grass to help with digestive issues. As a precaution you might consider keeping your cat away from the newly sprayed weeds. I'm just guessing that soap, salt and vinegar might not be very good for a cat who may be experiencing tummy troubles. Then again, maybe kitty instictively knows not to nibble on any treated weeds which might make any digestive issues worse.
+grandmajoyce2 Just like anything else you would be spraying in your yard, you would want to keep pets indoors until it dries. It didn't take long for the grass to start to die so I don't think it would be too appealing to kitty anyway.
For another option, check out the Garden HotZot. It kills weeds with hot water but uses a very narrow jet so you can kill the weeds hiding in your planting beds. It's fast, safe, easy and entirely organic.
I am going to try this ty soo much...... my driveway is looking like the Amazon lol weeds and grass I seem to be pulling them every day and the next day 10x more pop up lol ty again
Richard Strahin It's only a picture I pulled off the Internet. The weeds I get rid of are ground covering inedible nuisances and grasses. Thanks for the info though.
Ok Liz, thanks. Dandelion bloom makes very good wine (but some work to do it) and the leaves picked early makes very good greens, sort of like spinach. The root dried and ground can be used as a coffee substitute - I don't like it, though- -
yes. keep it on the paving stones to kill the weed areas. Salt only works. better if dry and left on during sunny days. Rain and water ruins the effect.
well don't spray it on other plants, only a dummy would do that. as you spray it on weeds or unwanted plants, don't spray it on a windy day. Use common since.
Making It Easy with Liz AND that that is why she mentioned, be careful not to walk on it and then walk on your grass! 😜 And yes, grass is a weed, if this concoction will kill a weed, it will kill a plant.
ed.G. Hansen , salt is not good for paving stones. Salt will eventually break down your stone. If you live anywhere where you would put salt on your sidewalk in the winter time, you will notice that it will become pitted, due to the Salt. 🤓
You are so right...But I have been looking all over...Grass growing in the tree wells is also a problem.. I lightly sprayed the grass but a limb on my crimson King Maple died. very disappointing !!!
Wise Student Hi Wise student...I'm sorry that happened but it is salt and vinegar (acid)...as I stated in my description, it's for paths and driveways where you don't want anything to live and NOT to be used around ornamental plants. It might also be a coincidence that your limb died. A light spray shouldn't have killed one tree limb.
Grass grows up in my bushes, where I don't want it, but I have brown patches in my lawn, where I do want grass...I suspect grubs in my lawn though. I never use salt, because I don't want to kill the ground.....
Okay, so this lady is like the female version of Bob Ross, but with plants and flowers, instead of paint!!! “Ah, look at that little yellow grass, he doesn’t look very happy does he?” Haha
Wow. I'm going to try this. Just moved into a house that needs a lot of work -- especially in the "back yard," which is really a sandbox with12 .. count 'em 12 species of weeds that look like they've been there for years. I wonder if this would also work on these horrible Wild grape vines.
I love your voice! It's adorable. I was wondering what time of day is best to do this. I read another comment that said right before dusk so it doesn't evaporate as quickly, which makes sense, but doesn't the direct, harsh sun really help this work better? Or can it be used at night, or shady areas...
Thank you for the kind compliment. I would do it so it sits on it for a bit and yes, I believe the hot sun will help. To be honest, I would look up a recipe that involves Epsom salts over regular salt and try pickling vinegar which is @ 7% acid. It can be cheap white vinegar, don't spend the $ on apple cider vinegar.
I was thinking the same her voice is so sweet 🤟have you ever thought about reading stories as it’s nice to listen to you thanks for the tip am on it👍👍🌹
How long does this last? As far as the weeds from coming back? Here in AZ, the weeds are RELENTLESS & Roundup isn't really helping them from growing back. They grow back in a couple of weeks.
I only tried a recipe that was floating around on the Internet and used the ingredients it called for. Use the cheapest no-name vinegar, salt and dish soap. I only used this on my gravel path and driveway. DO NOT use it in your lawn or flower beds. It's salt and acid and if it kills weeds, it will certainly kill your garden plants. If you like to eat dandelions, go for it but please don't judge those of us that like our yards to be free of them. Gardeners work hard because they love it and the beauty it brings into their lives.

A thick layer of wood chips on top of some weed control fabric or cardboard should do the trick.
+Home Grown Veg thank you for that suggestion. In my pathway and driveway that solution isn't feasible but definitely on a garden bed or an area that you won't be using for traffic.
+Home Grown Veg TWO FEET DEEP in wood chips and the weeds roared right on up through it, and thanked me.
Great vid.
You are correct. That is just what that particular recipe called for. I would go with cleaning vinegar at 10% acidity.
It's not as good now. Once opon a time it was a great degreaser!
It does work 👍
But house hold vinegar is only 5 % Acetic acid,
cleaning vinegar which has 10% Acetic acid, it works even better,
I am going to try Epsom salt instead of regular salt.
Thanks for sharing. Seen in London, England on 24th June 2020.
sure! works great if you want to be back out there every 3-5 days spraying all over again! It doesn't kill the weeds at all, just burns the existing foliage until it sprouts new greenery.
geez ok calm down
+Squeaky Ahi Thanks so much for watching. If you are concerned about your chickens, I would Google it. You could use a more eco friendly natural dish soap I suppose.
+Making It Easy with Liz Does it matter what soap you use?
You can use white distilled vinegar instead of apple cider vinegar. Works great for weeds in my brick walk. But you will need to repeat if more weeds start.
Chris E. Hi Chris, yes I use white vinegar because it is half the price. Thanks so much for sharing your tip.
+Evolve432 I appreciate your comment and for watching. Yes Dawn is a detergent but not poisonous. The small amount is so the salt/vinegar will stay on the leaves.
I use Palmolive soap, it works.
Making It Easy with Liz
I think it's just the weeds where I live, could probably hold up a car, they're so strong. lol But it did seem to dry out the tops of them, at least. Thanks again!
+SunBunz spray on when the air is still in the morning and its going to be hot. you want to spray just after the dew is off. Younger plants are easier to kill.
What a lovely garden you have.
If it doesn’t kill them, at least they’ll be clean. Thanks for sharing.
LOL!

Thank you, Liz! I had that recipe; however, I misplaced the list of amounts of each ingredient, so am happy to have them again. This works great! One thing you did NOT share is that, after the weeds or unwanted grass dies, it still needs to be weeded/removed from the area.
Cricket Smith Yes, thanks for that tip.
You are most welcomed, Liz. By the way...you have such a beautiful smile. God bless!
Try Coconut oil for the black flies. I live in Florida and it works for mosquitos.
My dog pees same place in yard and now there's a golden yellow 1 x 1' square of dead grass if only I could get her to pee on the pathway cracks is it the ammonia content in her urine?
Horticultural vinegar and white work too
Wow going to try this...hope it works for me as I have a pooch who is always in the garden!
If you don't like the way your husband is doing it, instead of complaining, you should do it!
liz n friends thanks for ideas. i will try & hope for the best!
Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the video! ! I would have liked to see the results about 2 weeks later. This seems to be wonderful for those weeds that come out at the bottom of the driveway and the sidewalk cracks. Thank you!
Excellent, thank you.

Love the laugh the bird gave out when you mentioned Heinze's lol
Hello, Wow, that started working fast...........I'm impressed. Going to try this this year and hope to be able to help keep it under control with this.
Thanks, Janet
Janet Sisk I hope it works out for you. The grass is the hardest to kill. Thanks for watching Janet.
If you use it in your flower beds can you still plant flowers in a spot you may have previously sprayed?
Don't use it in flower beds.
Great idea Liz!! I will have to give it a try. I love natural gardening tips. :) It looks like it works pretty good. Thank you so much for sharing.
Omg its almost 100 degrees today, those weeds will be gone in no time!
The leafs of dandelions are very nutritious, Loaded with vitamins and minerals.
Wow, dramatic results on the same day. I find roundup takes some days to do that. Thanks for posting, I'm going to try this one.
you should never use Roundup... It's a known cancerigen and highly poisonous to wildife and all life, really..
I’ve used this really works
use 3quarts rock salt+ 20 oz. of ajax dish soap only! to 5 gal. of scalding hot water or all the rock salt wont disolve and spray on heavy on a sunny day with no rain in the forecast and clean out the spayer good or its ruined
I bought some Roundup I was going to use it but I noticed that there was beautiful exotic birds in my backyard eating from the grass and eating plants, so I can't use anything like that also I'm afraid is going to kill me, thank you for your formula, I'm going to definitely use it nightmare fighting these weeds breaking my weed wacker thread this is going to work
Just use cheap no name brand vinegar. Look on the internet for a recipe that uses Epsom salts instead of salt if salt worries you.
Excellent. Btw, did you have to reapply for good measures? If so how often? Thanks.
You will have to reapply because it won't kill seeds and grass is stubborn.
@@makingiteasywithliz thank you
thank you so much for sharing this! well done video! this was very helpful to me!
Thank you. You might want to research Epsom salts instead of salt. It might be a better option. I only tried one recipe that was going around back then.
You have a beautifully day.
It doesn't kill seeds.
Add more salt
Thank you for the recipe. Am going to try it out.
Hi Liz I am certainly going to give this a try thanks for sharing
It's a great idea to mix the three ingredients, I have seen many others but not with salt and as I was thinking this I ran into your Vlog.
Greta idea, going to give it a try. I think it will scare off my cats from that area but not harmful
Thanks
+Sam G Thank you Sam for watching.

Omg i love your accent and voice too 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Its just an American accent, all sounds the same
I find that pickling vinegar works better and cleaning vinegar works best.
You're right. They are more acidic.
what a lovely voice !
I agree!
Glad I found this video. I have a small graveled area with grass growing through and I wanted something to kill the grass but my cat chews the grass.
I think i'll give it a try and all kitty will get is a horrible taste.
It's worth a try. Thanks for watching.
It didn't take long for the grass to start to die so I don't think it would be too appealing to kitty anyway.
grandmajoyce2 p
spikeyyak ? I flys
For another option, check out the Garden HotZot. It kills weeds with hot water but uses a very narrow jet so you can kill the weeds hiding in your planting beds. It's fast, safe, easy and entirely organic.
Eat the dandelions if they have no pesticides of course. Dandelion is full of nutrition
I am going to try this ty soo much...... my driveway is looking like the Amazon lol weeds and grass I seem to be pulling them every day and the next day 10x more pop up lol ty again
Hey Liz, Dandelions can be a very good plant instead of a weed. So many uses for it.
The root dried and ground can be used as a coffee substitute - I don't like it, though- -
I'LL TRY IT!
Am I obliged to use apple vinegar or if regular white vinegar will do the job??? Thanks.
No name brand white vinegar or cheapest you can find.
Try citronella to get rid of the blackfly
Blackfly or greenfly warm water and good glug of washing up liquid. Kills them stone dead..
love your garden 😊
Also you don't have to freak out if you get any on your hands, clothes or cat.
People, this is SALT and ACID. Does any of that sound healthy to a plant? If it kills weeds, then it certainly will affect other plants.
yes. keep it on the paving stones to kill the weed areas. Salt only works. better if dry and left on during sunny days. Rain and water ruins the effect.
well don't spray it on other plants, only a dummy would do that. as you spray it on weeds or unwanted plants, don't spray it on a windy day. Use common since.
Making It Easy with Liz gq
Bravo!👏😁 Thank you for sharing! ✌😊🎈
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanks for sharing
Okay, so this lady is like the female version of Bob Ross, but with plants and flowers, instead of paint!!!
“Ah, look at that little yellow grass, he doesn’t look very happy does he?” Haha
You can spray this and kill the nasty ugly weeds here, and oh we can plant another little happy flower over there! Lol
Her calming voice tho!!! 😀
Looks like you are using the top of an old Franklin Woodstove as a table ;)
Yes it is.
Dumb question but does using vinegar make your yard smell?
Wow. I'm going to try this. Just moved into a house that needs a lot of work -- especially in the "back yard," which is really a sandbox with12 .. count 'em 12 species of weeds that look like they've been there for years. I wonder if this would also work on these horrible Wild grape vines.
Try epsoms salts...it looks like that might be a good alternative to salt. Google it.
It depends on the strength and the amount of salt you manage to get dissolved in the solution. The more salt you use, the more permanent it is.
So now you have horrible yucky dead grass and weeds on your paving! How do you get rid of that?????
@@malcolmstuart5121 the wind eventually blows it away or you can scrape it off.
vanilla extract repels gnats....maybe works for your Canadian flies?
Fantastic! Going to try this now!
Pouring boiling water on Weeds helps too
does this really work? i have a serious problem with weeds in the cracks of my driveway!
☼ Heirloom reviews ☼ antifreeze will kill them real fast lol my fiance spilled some and it killed a patch of grass five feet long

Try Road Salt, work much better.
