Homemade Natural Brush Killer on Wisteria with Recipe

Demonstrating homemade eco-safe brush killer on tough wisteria vines. Robert uses a popular recipe on this plant with a reputation for being tough to control, much less kill off.
Make this for a fraction of the cost of any toxic commercial brush killer!

Here is the suggested recipe, though different people do recommend a variety of proportions:
Approximately equal parts white vinegar and plain salt (not epsom salt) - the cheapest of both will work just fine
A small amount of non-colored, unscented dish detergent, about 1-2 tablespoons per pint
These proportions are highly flexible based on my research. Be sure to comment on your experience with this or another recipe!

Thank you! I have wild wisteria vines taking over lots of trees in the forest beside my home and they are a beast! So difficult to remove, glad to know I can use this method to rid them!

Yes! Just remember it will take more than one application, and they have to be close enough together before the plant recovers.

Good for you and the forest and wildlife. So many use chemicals that not only kill the vines but forest and animals.
I've been fighting tree killing vines here in N.Florida for 30 years ,we have a few species.

Can't burn anything, where i am, suburbia and council does not allow. Fire department would be here in a flash. Green plastic bag and then the tip.

That's where this recipe can come in useful. You just may have to apply it a couple times for full results.
