Actually, kind of like Catherine of Aragon, he died in one of his friend (Lord Sydney I believe but don't quote me on that) arms, with a couple of his friends around, as for example Barnaby Fitzpatrick. However yes, not much of them got really the time to grieve as they were mostly protestants and Mary took the thorne.
I feel like history only ever mourns Mary and Elizabeth. Edward was a small kid. He was made to shoulder the hopes of a nation since a young age. His birth wasn't of pure happiness to Henry. It was more of a 'Oh, finally!' It was for Henry to prove that his 'seed' was capable of producing a son. In the end, Edwards birth just exalted his ego and 'strengthened' the Tudor lineage. He never received his mother's love. His ambitious uncle's used to yell at him. Records state that when Elizabeth was a teenager, Mary had a great relationship with her. Records also state that the three siblings would play and laugh together. His sisters were caring. It was his uncle's desicion to take Mary and Elizabeth out of the will, which in turn, made his sisters mad at him. I feel really bad for Edward. His whole life, he was a pawn in a game of power. He was just a puppet controlled by different puppeteers. Poor kid never got the chance to live for himself and make his own decisions. Hope you're happy up there with your mom, kiddo.

He was a teen, even a preteen: and as you said, he never had the ability to make a political choice on himself 'alone' as Lords Protectors that manipulated their way up there reigned during his minority that never came to an end. It's kind of sad that the only happy thing he sees looking back on his life is his memories with his sisters. I wonder if we'll get an animatic in the future with the three of them realizing how badly their father messed them all up and reconcile like the Queens did in I Don't Need Your Love.
The part with mary and elizabeth killed me. Edward was a baby when his mom died and im assuming he grew up with the notion that both his parents would have had high expectations for him as king since henry would have been like that. But his sisters treated him well and apparently mary was like a second mother to edward when he was young.

Yes! Heck, Edward was YOUNGER than Kathrine. He died at 15, and Kathrine died at 18 or 19. They both deserved better than manipulative, abusive, opportunistic adults taking advantage of them.
That's really beautiful. i feel really bad about the fact that he never had a chance to make a big change like the rest of the Tudors. But still. His life was pretty sad. He never knew his mum he just knew her power hungry brothers. Poor kid. All of the Tudor kids had such terrible childhoods. Okay all of the sudden i’m really curious about something: Jane’s story of how she became queen isn’t too different from Anne’s, she existed, Henry lusted after her, she tried to avoid him like the plague at first, he got rid of his current wife, and boom new queen. At first tho, Anne was told by her father and uncle what to do so things would go a curtain way and she could turn out on top... did the Seymour brothers try and do the same thing to Jane? From what I know the difference between Anne and Jane was that Anne was witty and intelligent while Jane was more kind and quiet, but also Jane’s family isn’t often mentioned whenever I hear stories about her. And from those traits I’ve mentioned she was WAY more likely to be a pushover. My point is I know close to nothing about the Seymour brothers but they both bother me

Mary had it bad when she was little as well, though not as bad. But still, when her mother was being mistreated & cast aside, Mary was treated almost like she didn't even exist. Then Henry forbade her from seeing her mother while she was on her deathbed & wasn't even able to grieve properly on account of Henry establishing The Church of England & the new Protestant religion. While she did grow to have a fondness for Elizabeth when she was made to care for her, as time went on, the taint of Henry's reign eventually destroyed whatever any of the siblings had.
Edward did actually make a massive impact. He championed puritanism which led to most English settlements in America and the English Civil war as well as having the precursor to the modern Bible published on his command during his reign
Fun fact (no): another uncle of Edward VI, Edward Seymour, actually did kidnapped him. Also he was 5 months deep in his painful disease when he signed for J. Grey on the throne: he easily could've been manipulated. It's a beautiful animatic. I feel like people overlook how much he was manipulated and had no power whatsoever and that most of the stuff happening within his reign was caused by his lord protectors.

For those confused/curious about the dog dying part, I'll explain. Edward had two uncles. Thomas Seymour and Edward Seymour. For the sake of avoiding confusion, let's call Edward Seymour, Essie. Essie was made the Lord Protector because Edward himself was too young to rule independently. This made Thomas jealous that his brother had a higher position than him. Records state that Thomas was Edwards favorite uncle. Using that to his advantage, Thomas was in command of the navy and granted the title of Lord High Admiral. He was still not satisfied and wanted more power. So what this dumbass does is to break into Edwards chambers and try to kindnap him. Edwards dog started barking and Thomas was afraid that it would wake up Edward, so he shot the dog. After this, Essie got Thomas executed for committing high treason.
I feel like each of the songs you gave the Tudor kids really matched the moods of the songs of their mothers. Bloody Mary- honestly a bop and I love how much hate she expressed for Henry, like CoA when she was about to be replaced Elizabeth I- Both DLUH and I’m Still Standing have sort of a idgaf kinda vibe and while Anne didn’t get to overcome Henry in the end, they both were like “yeah fuck you dude” Edward VI- made me nearly cry with the whole song mourning and thinking about his family, just like how Jane always talks about Edward and Henry in HoS

After Edward died, according to their father's will Mary Tudor was next in line. But the mostly Protestant government wasn't a fan of a VERY Catholic queen, so they propped up Jane Grey, a protestant and descendant of one of Henry 8's sisters. TLDR, Jane was propped up as a queen, and Mary's forces overtook hers in a matter of days. While Jane herself seemed to not even really want the throne, she was executed by Mary to keep something like that from happening again.
Edward's story always makes me kind of sad. This boy grew up without his mother, surrounded by people only interested in his power, and died alone too young.
Edward never had a life, he had an existence... He is a name on our history books, for his chances to be someone were taken from him... He was a prize Henry finally get, he was a golden passport for his uncles to take power, he was a treat for his sisters that he once loved and in the end, he was just a child... A child with no love, no life and no happiness that people hardly remember and no one mourned his death... Poor kid... Just like his mother, a name in a book... They both deserved better...
I don't know, but it he probably would've been continuously manipulated by the lord protectors around him. It might've even got to the point where he would've started acting like his lord protectors. Or on a more hopefull note than all situations I can think of, maybe one of his sisters would've been able to guide him.
I'm crying over here cause i just wanna scoop him up and say, "Dont worry, we all love and appreciate you loads!" and in general Mary, Elizabeth and Edward had quite bad lives compared to most kids these days and it make my heart ache knowing that they never truly felt loved (i dont know if thats true, it's just what i think) and i seriously just wanna cry and hug them forever.
@Sylvanna Chan It would be so hard to be a queen or king let alone go insane or go through a painful disease during it. Also having no one truly love you would hurt a lot. No one understands how hard their lives were. It’s pretty sad.
So he has a dream where he is on a boat with his mother, he is awoken by Thomas Seymour who tried to kill him the dog barked and was shot and he then ordered his uncles death. He then removes his sisters from the line of succession and adding lady Jane grey. He then has a nightmare where his dad's angry at him and his mother's face is blank he then sees his sisters and him when they were younger and them looking after him when his mum was dead and he then walks over to them and they leave symbolises the fact that he was treated better than them and when he became king pushed them both away from him. He wakes up to find that he is choking on his own blood and he walks to the throne to sit on it. He dies and is reunited with his mother after 15 years of them being separated.
If anyones wondering what happens in the first par basically one of his Uncles tried to hurt him and killed his dog as well but then Edward had him executed in response (to sum it up briefly, its quite an interesting event tho)

Oh my god. I had tears in my eyes with this one! As someone said in their comment, history only mourns Mary and Elizabeth and Edward deserves more recognition as his story is as terrible as his sisters. Never knew his mother, was really only a trophy to his father. I feel like his story would've different had Jane survived but Henry had to pay the price I guess. If he wanted the son, the mother would have to die. I feel so sorry for Eddie cause you can only imagine what people said about him after his death.
Bless you. I've been waiting and wanting to see Jane taking her son home after he passed. Jane might have died, but Henry never really got his male heir. And while he roasts somewhere not very pleasant for destroying not only 6 women but countless others, his children and exes know that they are so much more than he ever was. He tried to keep so many of them from sitting his throne, and they all essentially flipped his ghost the bird. Now all he is remembered as is a whiny man child who ruined so many lives, and they are remembered as the real Queens, Heros, and Legends. Because of all the amazing work you've done with Six the Kids, I've started drafting a few "alternate histories", either set in the modern world where his wives and kids all survive and basically destroy him, and a version where Catherine of Aaragon says "fuck u i have a better claim to the english throne than you do", kicks Henry out of the palace, has him castrated and sent to a monastery. Anne becomes her chief celebration planner, Jane becomes her Chamberlin, Anna of Cleves is in charge of parks and hunting (or becomes her German bestie so future Germany and England are strong allies), Katherine Howard is a musician/bard/dancer that Catherine patrons for the rest of her days so Katherine becomes the Shakespeare of Catherine's era, and Catherine Parr is her constant Religion and Education bestie. They make sure Mary and Elizabeth grow up loving each other (in this version Anne was preg prior to Henry asking for an annulment), and eventually co-ruling England together. I also have a draft idea for if Mary Queen of Scots had married Edward, but then makes a deal with Mary and Elizabeth where Scot Mary keeps Scotland, Elizabeth gets Protestant England, and Catholic Mary gets Ireland. The 3 sibs and 1 cousin ruling the United Kingdoms of Scotland, Ireland, and England /together/. Aka a world where family IS more important than what Royal Arse gets to sit in the Big Chair. Edward would work with Elizabeth to turn Protestantism to a real religion (since they did, 0 thanks to Henry) because that kid literally wrote and published a treatise calling the Pope the anticrist. Yes a reason for both Catholic Marys to clutch their crosses and call for an axe, but he's also TWELVE. The 3 ladies rule, the kids get to be kids. I kind of want to bring little Mae Parr into it too, since everyone assumes she died, but instead have her be with the other kids. Yeah, I'm liking this. 2 Marys and Elizabeth like "you hurt our babies and we end you." I know this could still easily end with death, but history is so much violence and bad endings, just once I want to see royal people putting their families first, but Kids getting to Be Kids.

The woman (can't recall her name at the moment) Catherine more or less made her Godmother seemed to see everything about Lady Mary to be little more than an inconvenience for her. Part of me is a bit scared it was negligence on her part that ended the life of that sweet two year old girl. I did have to take a minute to cry for her after learning she could have died so young.

The part with the dog honestly got me sobbing. It’s historically accurate, and Edward’s life was honestly so f*cking tragic. He died alone, young and never had his mother to care for him. Him and Lady Jane suffered so much and that never gets acknowledged.

All the Tudors (expect Henry VIII, the old fool) had extremely tragical stories. The wives, the children, Lady Jane Grey, Mary Queen of Scots. It was a rather depressing era full of cruelty and killings and tragedy.
Jane Grey and Mary Queen of Scots weren’t Tudors, Mary was a Stewart and Jane was a Grey. Henry lost his brother, his mother, his father, his sisters, nephew and lost many children so he did have some tragedy

Really makes you wonder what could've been if Henry VIII was any less of an asshole. This wasn't just his wives. Divorcing one out of a whim,killing another when stuff got out of hand for him,one died on a fantasy where he loved her,another divorce out of her looks,another execution cause she was a child in need of real friends,and finally the survivor who was lucky enough to be his last victim. But his kids suffered too. Mary saw her mom get humillated,saw her country come into pieces. Elizabeth lost her mom as a simple two year old. Edward went through incredibly high expectations,and Henry didn't loved him,he only cared about the fact he had a *son* just like he "loved" Jane more cause she gave him a *son* and that's sad. Edward was probably wondering what his mom wanted from him,Henry did tell stories but... A kid will forever wonder how it could've been. And honestly I feel Jane would've been a great mother! All of the Tudor children plus Lady Jane Grey, Mary Queen of Scots, and why not, Mary Seymour (daughter of Catherine Parr and Thomas Seymour, she's the daughter of Jane Seymour's brother, she's related to the Tudors) can be associated with one of the six Queens. Queen Elizabeth I: Catherine Parr. She survived being a Tudor, like Catherine. She survived the abuse and pain, and ended being one of England's best rulers. She was left with the trauma, but she made it and she brought England good times. Queen Mary I: Anne Boleyn. She was expressive and didn't hold back on her opinions, much like Anne, and in the same way Anne did, she ended up paying the price for her actions by being executed. King Edward VI: Katherine Howard. To start, they both died at tragically young ages, Katherine at 18/19 and Edward at 15. Edward was given a lot of responsibility at a very young age, becoming king at 9 years old, like Katherine was since she married Henry at 16. Edward was manipulated and abused for his power, like Katherine was for her body. Due to his young age, he probably didn't realize he was being abused, like Katherine. He was a victim like she was, and died tragically young. Lady Jane Grey: Catherine of Aragon. She kinda got the short end of the stick. She ended up getting dethroned and later executed. But she seems like she'd relate to Catherine of Aragon a lot because she was forced into power. She could also fit well with Anne Boleyn tbh, but I like her as Catherine better. Mary Queen of Scots: Anna of Cleves. She has the "I don't care what you think of me" energy that Anna has. She's pretty bad*ss and honestly we stan a queen. Mary Seymour: Jane Seymour. She may have died very young, but she had her mother's, Catherine Parr's, genes and likely would have ended up being very similar to her, but her death makes her similar to Jane Seymour.

Rewatching this after reading about Edward’s slow and painful death just makes his story all the more sad. After the death of his father, he just became a puppet to his uncles and then to John Dudley (who manipulates him into making Jane Grey heir while Ed’s on his deathbed). And I keep on imagining how different of a person he probably would’ve been if his mother had lived. I’ve always seen Edward VI as underrated in history because he was dismissed after everyone learned he died at 16. When he’s really interesting and I felt so bad for him when he got sick! It lasted over a year and only got worse (they used arsenic to keep him alive at one point) that by the time he died he was nothing but flesh and bone.

This is literally the saddest 😞 among the kids videos. I really hate Henry the 8 so dam much. What he did to his wives and especially the kids. Why do I feel like at the ending he was actually looking for someone to help? Like, he was looking around for someone to help him or to just be there. But when he finally entered the room nobody was even in there to comfort him. That's kinda sad.

I really love these animations,but the thing that makes me really sad is that all these things actually happened. Most of them never got the childhood they deserved. Their father pulled them apart,as well as multiply others. Their lives were really sad. They all lost their mothers at such a young age (Edward losing Jane at the youngest age.) Mary was around 13 I think when Catherine was divorced,Elizabeth was around 5 I think when Anne was beheaded and Edward was only born. They never got the love they deserved.
I feel really bad for Edward. He never knew his mom and grew up with H e n r y. He died alone. And he died at around the Katherine Howard (he was 15 and she was 17.) Like, I WANT TO PROTECC HIMM
He was just a puppet poor child. And he was poisoned to death because the medicine they gave him gave him energy that they wanted him to have but killed him.

Actually, kind of like Catherine of Aragon, he died in one of his friend (Lord Sydney I believe but don't quote me on that) arms, with a couple of his friends around, as for example Barnaby Fitzpatrick. However yes, not much of them got really the time to grieve as they were mostly protestants and Mary took the thorne.

I feel like history only ever mourns Mary and Elizabeth. Edward was a small kid. He was made to shoulder the hopes of a nation since a young age. His birth wasn't of pure happiness to Henry. It was more of a 'Oh, finally!' It was for Henry to prove that his 'seed' was capable of producing a son. In the end, Edwards birth just exalted his ego and 'strengthened' the Tudor lineage.
He never received his mother's love. His ambitious uncle's used to yell at him. Records state that when Elizabeth was a teenager, Mary had a great relationship with her. Records also state that the three siblings would play and laugh together. His sisters were caring.
It was his uncle's desicion to take Mary and Elizabeth out of the will, which in turn, made his sisters mad at him.
I feel really bad for Edward. His whole life, he was a pawn in a game of power. He was just a puppet controlled by different puppeteers. Poor kid never got the chance to live for himself and make his own decisions.

And yes, History quite overlooks him in my opinion. I mean, the religious book that is still used nowadays was published during his reign! And even more anecdotically, why isn't that 12 years old uncle-beheader never referenced outside of his sicknesses in Horrible Histories?!

Edward was a baby when his mom died and im assuming he grew up with the notion that both his parents would have had high expectations for him as king since henry would have been like that. But his sisters treated him well and apparently mary was like a second mother to edward when he was young.
To Elizabeth as well. It's said when she was younger, she looked up to Mary more as a caregiver than an older sister.

That's really beautiful. i feel really bad about the fact that he never had a chance to make a big change like the rest of the Tudors. But still. His life was pretty sad. He never knew his mum he just knew her power hungry brothers. Poor kid. All of the Tudor kids had such terrible childhoods. Okay all of the sudden i’m really curious about something: Jane’s story of how she became queen isn’t too different from Anne’s, she existed, Henry lusted after her, she tried to avoid him like the plague at first, he got rid of his current wife, and boom new queen. At first tho, Anne was told by her father and uncle what to do so things would go a curtain way and she could turn out on top... did the Seymour brothers try and do the same thing to Jane? From what I know the difference between Anne and Jane was that Anne was witty and intelligent while Jane was more kind and quiet, but also Jane’s family isn’t often mentioned whenever I hear stories about her. And from those traits I’ve mentioned she was WAY more likely to be a pushover. My point is I know close to nothing about the Seymour brothers but they both bother me

Mary had it bad when she was little as well, though not as bad. But still, when her mother was being mistreated & cast aside, Mary was treated almost like she didn't even exist. Then Henry forbade her from seeing her mother while she was on her deathbed & wasn't even able to grieve properly on account of Henry establishing The Church of England & the new Protestant religion. While she did grow to have a fondness for Elizabeth when she was made to care for her, as time went on, the taint of Henry's reign eventually destroyed whatever any of the siblings had.
Edward did actually make a massive impact. He championed puritanism which led to most English settlements in America and the English Civil war as well as having the precursor to the modern Bible published on his command during his reign

Also he was 5 months deep in his painful disease when he signed for J. Grey on the throne: he easily could've been manipulated.

For those confused/curious about the dog dying part, I'll explain.
Edward had two uncles. Thomas Seymour and Edward Seymour. For the sake of avoiding confusion, let's call Edward Seymour, Essie.
Essie was made the Lord Protector because Edward himself was too young to rule independently. This made Thomas jealous that his brother had a higher position than him.
Records state that Thomas was Edwards favorite uncle. Using that to his advantage, Thomas was in command of the navy and granted the title of Lord High Admiral. He was still not satisfied and wanted more power.
So what this dumbass does is to break into Edwards chambers and try to kindnap him. Edwards dog started barking and Thomas was afraid that it would wake up Edward, so he shot the dog.
After this, Essie got Thomas executed for committing high treason.

After Edward died, according to their father's will Mary Tudor was next in line. But the mostly Protestant government wasn't a fan of a VERY Catholic queen, so they propped up Jane Grey, a protestant and descendant of one of Henry 8's sisters. TLDR, Jane was propped up as a queen, and Mary's forces overtook hers in a matter of days. While Jane herself seemed to not even really want the throne, she was executed by Mary to keep something like that from happening again.
Edward's story always makes me kind of sad. This boy grew up without his mother, surrounded by people only interested in his power, and died alone too young.

So he has a dream where he is on a boat with his mother, he is awoken by Thomas Seymour who tried to kill him the dog barked and was shot and he then ordered his uncles death. He then removes his sisters from the line of succession and adding lady Jane grey. He then has a nightmare where his dad's angry at him and his mother's face is blank he then sees his sisters and him when they were younger and them looking after him when his mum was dead and he then walks over to them and they leave symbolises the fact that he was treated better than them and when he became king pushed them both away from him. He wakes up to find that he is choking on his own blood and he walks to the throne to sit on it. He dies and is reunited with his mother after 15 years of them being separated.
If anyones wondering what happens in the first par basically one of his Uncles tried to hurt him and killed his dog as well but then Edward had him executed in response

Oh my god. I had tears in my eyes with this one! As someone said in their comment, history only mourns Mary and Elizabeth and Edward deserves more recognition as his story is as terrible as his sisters. Never knew his mother, was really only a trophy to his father. I feel like his story would've different had Jane survived but Henry had to pay the price I guess. If he wanted the son, the mother would have to die. I feel so sorry for Eddie cause you can only imagine what people said about him after his death.

Bless you. I've been waiting and wanting to see Jane taking her son home after he passed. Jane might have died, but Henry never really got his male heir. And while he roasts somewhere not very pleasant for destroying not only 6 women but countless others, his children and exes know that they are so much more than he ever was. He tried to keep so many of them from sitting his throne, and they all essentially flipped his ghost the bird. Now all he is remembered as is a whiny man child who ruined so many lives, and they are remembered as the real Queens, Heros, and Legends. Because of all the amazing work you've done with Six the Kids, I've started drafting a few "alternate histories", either set in the modern world where his wives and kids all survive and basically destroy him, and a version where Catherine of Aaragon says "fuck u i have a better claim to the english throne than you do", kicks Henry out of the palace, has him castrated and sent to a monastery. Anne becomes her chief celebration planner, Jane becomes her Chamberlin, Anna of Cleves is in charge of parks and hunting (or becomes her German bestie so future Germany and England are strong allies), Katherine Howard is a musician/bard/dancer that Catherine patrons for the rest of her days so Katherine becomes the Shakespeare of Catherine's era, and Catherine Parr is her constant Religion and Education bestie. They make sure Mary and Elizabeth grow up loving each other (in this version Anne was preg prior to Henry asking for an annulment), and eventually co-ruling England together. I also have a draft idea for if Mary Queen of Scots had married Edward, but then makes a deal with Mary and Elizabeth where Scot Mary keeps Scotland, Elizabeth gets Protestant England, and Catholic Mary gets Ireland. The 3 sibs and 1 cousin ruling the United Kingdoms of Scotland, Ireland, and England /together/. Aka a world where family IS more important than what Royal Arse gets to sit in the Big Chair. All of this has been inspired by your absolutely heart wrenching and wonderful animations. I hope you feel better soon hon

Edward would work with Elizabeth to turn Protestantism to a real religion (since they did, 0 thanks to Henry) because that kid literally wrote and published a treatise calling the Pope the anticrist. Yes a reason for both Catholic Marys to clutch their crosses and call for an axe, but he's also TWELVE. The 3 ladies rule, the kids get to be kids. I kind of want to bring little Mae Parr into it too, since everyone assumes she died, but instead have her be with the other kids. Yeah, I'm liking this. 2 Marys and Elizabeth like "you hurt our babies and we end you." I know this could still easily end with death, but history is so much violence and bad endings, just once I want to see royal people putting their families first, but Kids getting to Be Kids.

The woman (can't recall her name at the moment) Catherine more or less made her Godmother seemed to see everything about Lady Mary to be little more than an inconvenience for her. Part of me is a bit scared it was negligence on her part that ended the life of that sweet two year old girl. I did have to take a minute to cry for her after learning she could have died so young.

He might possibly be one of the most tragic figures in history. I can't even imagine how agonizing it must've been to go through six months of excruciating pain and be a puppet in a sadistic game of power. To be the forgotten child when it comes to achievements of the Tudor children.
All the Tudors (expect Henry VIII, the old fool) had extremely tragical stories. The wives, the children, Lady Jane Grey, Mary Queen of Scots. It was a rather depressing era full of cruelty and killings and tragedy.

Really makes you wonder what could've been if Henry VIII was any less of an asshole.
This wasn't just his wives. Divorcing one out of a whim,killing another when stuff got out of hand for him,one died on a fantasy where he loved her,another divorce out of her looks,another execution cause she was a child in need of real friends,and finally the survivor who was lucky enough to be his last victim.
But his kids suffered too. Mary saw her mom get humillated,saw her country come into pieces. Elizabeth lost her mom as a simple two year old. Edward went through incredibly high expectations,and Henry didn't loved him,he only cared about the fact he had a *son* just like he "loved" Jane more cause she gave him a *son* and that's sad.
Edward was probably wondering what his mom wanted from him,Henry did tell stories but... A kid will forever wonder how it could've been. And honestly I feel Jane would've been a great mother! To the three of them even,she did everything she could to get them back as royalty! And they got along fine for a long time!
And Edward makes me the more sad since,kinda like what I feel about Katherine Howard,he was just a *child*
He died at *15* when his mother wanted him to have a happy long life.

I just realized. All of the Tudor children plus Lady Jane Grey, Mary Queen of Scots, and why not, Mary Seymour (daughter of Catherine Parr and Thomas Seymour, she's the daughter of Jane Seymour's brother, she's related to the Tudors) can be associated with one of the six Queens.
Queen Elizabeth I: Catherine Parr. She survived being a Tudor, like Catherine. She survived the abuse and pain, and ended being one of England's best rulers. She was left with the trauma, but she made it and she brought England good times.
Queen Mary I: Anne Boleyn. She was expressive and didn't hold back on her opinions, much like Anne, and in the same way Anne did, she ended up paying the price for her actions by being executed.
King Edward VI: Katherine Howard. To start, they both died at tragically young ages, Katherine at 18/19 and Edward at 15. Edward was given a lot of responsibility at a very young age, becoming king at 9 years old, like Katherine was since she married Henry at 16. Edward was manipulated and abused for his power, like Katherine was for her body. Due to his young age, he probably didn't realize he was being abused, like Katherine. He was a victim like she was, and died tragically young.
Lady Jane Grey: Catherine of Aragon. She kinda got the short end of the stick. She ended up getting dethroned and later executed. But she seems like she'd relate to Catherine of Aragon a lot because she was forced into power. She could also fit well with Anne Boleyn tbh, but I like her as Catherine better.
Mary Queen of Scots: Anna of Cleves. She has the "I don't care what you think of me" energy that Anna has. She's pretty bad*ss and honestly we stan a queen.
Mary Seymour: Jane Seymour. She may have died very young, but she had her mother's, Catherine Parr's, genes and likely would have ended up being very similar to her, but her death makes her similar to Jane Seymour.
It was Mary,Queen of Scots who got executed,not Mary I.

Rewatching this after reading about Edward’s slow and painful death just makes his story all the more sad. After the death of his father, he just became a puppet to his uncles and then to John Dudley (who manipulates him into making Jane Grey heir while Ed’s on his deathbed). And I keep on imagining how different of a person he probably would’ve been if his mother had lived. I’ve always seen Edward VI as underrated in history because he was dismissed after everyone learned he died at 16. When he’s really interesting and I felt so bad for him when he got sick! It lasted over a year and only got worse (they used arsenic to keep him alive at one point) that by the time he died he was nothing but flesh and bone.
I just wanted to say thank you for getting me into The Hush Sound when I was in 8th grade. This song had me in a chokehold because of this animatic

This is literally the saddest 😞 among the kids videos. I really hate Henry the 8 so dam much. What he did to his wives and especially the kids. Like seriously those sweet children Edward Tudor , Elizabeth Tudor and Mary Tudor all love each other but no there dead beat father had to go mess everything up and then leave them with people who only took advantage of them and use their power. I hope today the kids and wives are resting in peace.

I really love these animations,but the thing that makes me really sad is that all these things actually happened. Most of them never got the childhood they deserved. Their father pulled them apart,as well as multiply others. Their lives were really sad. They all lost their mothers at such a young age (Edward losing Jane at the youngest age.) Mary was around 13 I think when Catherine was divorced,Elizabeth was around 5 I think when Anne was beheaded and Edward was only born. They never got the love they deserved.
