I usually use those effects during long breakdowns when mids are dominating the sound. Also try pairing echo and hi pass filter, they creat magic at times!!
The Trans effect can sound great on basslines, just use a higher rate like 1 or 2 beats & dry/wet at 9-10 o clock. But really just on basslines, I do it in mix in/out situations where I also lowpass filter the same track or can apply it to lows only.

thank you, great explanation, I am always feeling like I am underperforming if i am not using effects, but what the crowd whats to hear is actual song and most of the songs already have amazing baseline and sound... The only part where I am struggling is the "boring" part of the song or breakdown after first chorus. There is usually little to no beat at all with maybe some vocals or some soft melody which is going into another build up. Can you make the video where you are adding effects and which effects to enhance the build up. Thank you

On basslines without drums or kicks. Clean basslines will sound like slap bass 🔥
