    Is your BMW feeling a little sloppy? The guys over at 034 Motorsport have a great solution. Their new BMW mounts and bushing inserts are a great way to firm up your BMW E90, E91, and E92 (non-M) chassis car.
    Their 50a durometer solid rubber engine and transmission mounts and billet subframe bushing inserts are easy to install, but make a noticeable difference in overall vehicle feel.
    In today's video we show how to install their rear subframe bushing inserts on a BMW E90 330i. The install is fairly straight forward with basic tools, however new bolts and an alignment are needed.

    Will this also be available for the BMW E39? I'm driving an European spec 520i manual, shifts are spot on, but i can feel a little play in the drivetrain, i think this will take care of it :)

    The M spec bushings are different to the ones you showed here. When comparing my 335i N54. Would these inserts still apply? I believe the M spec have a different insert by factory built-in.
    Can you confirm?

    • @unluckeeeee

      M spec bushes do not need inserts. The 135/335 bushes are hollow, m3 are not.

    • @unluckeeeee

      No... M bushings are not hollow, they are full. Inserts are only for non m models.

    So if I do this in my garage . I’ll jack up the car with two jack stands and use my lift to raise and lower from the rear diff ?

    • @amcheung10

      I recently installed these on my E90 330i, and did exactly that. I used 2 jack stands in the rear, and used a jack to help support and lower/raise the subframe as needed.

    How is solid rubber engine mounts going to improve handling? All you'll get is more vibration in the cabin.

    • @BMWI-gk9wh
      @BMWI-gk9wh 5 років тому

      Not true. There is still play, the vibrations from engine are decreased by giving a stiffer less play bushing

    Don't these subframe inserts just short-out the subframe bushes ?
    My guess is that the bushes are there for a reason and BMW knew what they were doing.

    • @goorackerelite
      @goorackerelite Рік тому

      yes and no. BMW softened the subframe bushings to counteract the harshness of the Runflat tires. but the first thing to do is toss the RFT's in the trash and adjust the subframe and sway bars accordingly.
