Most of the time these types of surgeries are only done if you have seriousl health impacts. Most jaw surgeries are purely functional like if you have sleep apnea, an improper bite and therefore it‘s damaging your jaw, tmj, if your overbite or underbite is so severe that you can‘t close your mouth or have difficulties with it etc. Some of these issues can lead to other health complications as well like dizziness and in case of sleep apnea (which can be fixed or bettered by many jaw surgeries), they heighten your risks of strokes and heart attacks. I‘m not saying that no one is having aesthetics in their mind but most docs really only do this because of the functional aspect. There‘s so much chronic and longterm pain that an under- or overbite can cause that can f*ck with your life.
My friend had this type of surgery as she struggled eating but had to wait until she was 18 before they could start the process. Her jaw is a lot better now and she can eat whatever she wants which is amazing. Also I saw her before and after xrays and the before looks like she was smiling and the after looks amazing and so perfect even with the metal plates, as the surgeons did a really good job. Edit: And the process for her surgery took about 4 years
Reminds me of when crystal on black ink crew had this done. It was SUCH a drastic difference! This girl looks amazing, though! What a big difference! I bet she’s so happy.
She still looked cute before but I'm glad she was able to do what she wanted to become more confident in herself. The transformation is absolutely stunning though!
Also that overbite looked so severe that it was probably causing her issues in eating, speaking and maybe even migranes? My sis had to have jaw surgery because her underbite was causing her to have migranes
My husband had the same surgery as Doc Yun. He was in the military, broke his jaw on someone's boot, and the military doctors (students) were like "We can shave off some of your jaw while we're fixing it." and he went for it lol A few years later, his brother shaved his jaw down too. Korea is difficult with appearances
The surgery Dr. Youn had isn’t shaving (contouring) the jaw. It’s to take a lower jaw that juts out ahead of the upper jaw, and bring it back to line up properly.
My mother's jaw was unusually small, she had a minor cosmetic surgery to add a little fat pad and make it look more normal. And it did wonders for her face.
What are you going to do when you re going to have a kid ? What if they end up having a weak jaw like you did? Or is it a medical condition that rarely affects people?

Hi Doc, my daughter had maxillofacial surgery when she was 13. She's older now and her front view x-ray shows all the internal wiring all tangled up. Her jaw is slowly back to the way it was, her front upper teeth don't have the slight overlap to her bottom teeth. Instead they touch together right on the ridge, causing her headaches. If you read this, how can I contact you?
Whoever’s reading this, I pray that whatever your going through gets better and whatever your struggling with or worrying about is going to be fine and that everyone has a fantastic day! Amen
The muscles of the lower jaw have been stretched during surgery. Muscle fibers pull the lower jaw back over time. Bolting plates inserted during surgery help slow the process, but the bone alters due to the forces and relapse does occur. And she may have no feeling in her lower lips, for life

I love how the doctor is so happy for her
I had jaw surgery as well , it really is amazing and crazy how much it changes you ! Sucked to recover but my goodness I’m so glad I did it
She was so cute before too, but I’m glad she’s happy now! ❤️
Yay!!! I'm so happy for her, it looks great!!!♥️
Also I love ur channel!!
Awesome
"Mom, why I'm so ugly?" 🥲
Man what an amazing reaction, he just added so much to the original video
Thanks to his skills and knowledge as a plastic surgeon ofc!
Oh man what a difference! That must have done wonders for her confidence and self esteem tbh.
Girl looked like the babysitter from the incredibles
That head turns was too convincing I thought she bouta jump outa my screen.
She really pulled off the babysitter from the incredibles look
LOL

youre right. Daughter will be fine
If it's a dominant gene it might not get passed on
I like how her smile never faded! She looks great!
Wow! She's a whole new girl! I love how happy she looks 🥰🥰🥰
I had a chin implant (weak chin) and lipo under my chin. The best thing I ever did for myself.
@Man of Culture it was many years ago, so I don’t remember. Have a consultation!
She looks so adorable after jaw surgery!
The power of modern medicine never ceases to amaze me
She looks stunning. I truly love the way medicine evolved. I enjoy watching people get better and confident in their appearance.
Sooo pretty I mean I just love when the surgeons r soo perfect in their work
My friend had this type of surgery as she struggled eating but had to wait until she was 18 before they could start the process. Her jaw is a lot better now and she can eat whatever she wants which is amazing.
Also I saw her before and after xrays and the before looks like she was smiling and the after looks amazing and so perfect even with the metal plates, as the surgeons did a really good job.
Edit: And the process for her surgery took about 4 years
SHE LOOKS REALLY BEAUTIFUL ❤️
She had the vibes even before glad she feels happy with herself now to support her vibes even more throughout her life
Absolutely amazing! Can’t believe how different she looks, looks kind of like a different person! She looked great before too of course
Люди: "Деньги не сдалют тебя счастливым."
Деньги: ...
That was quite the glow up😮
This is going to save her from a lot of pain both physically and mentally ..
It makes me happy to see Dr Youn's face, because he is so cute and kind. 💖💕💖💕💖💕💖💕💖
This makes my heart melt seeing her so happy. Good luck sweetheart 😘
WOW! Now this is a real transformation! You look so great! Im so glad this was for you, and not others!!!! Always put yourself first!
Wow.... U look beautiful now.. I'm happy everything went well n u chose a good doctor for the surgery.
Reminds me of when crystal on black ink crew had this done. It was SUCH a drastic difference! This girl looks amazing, though! What a big difference! I bet she’s so happy.
I cannot imagine how good & confident she now feels!!!
That’s a great result! A lot of pain and healing but worth it if she’s happy!
I am so happy that you built your own clinic with the money you won on the games
She still looked cute before but I'm glad she was able to do what she wanted to become more confident in herself. The transformation is absolutely stunning though!
Bruh don't lie
Still look cute before? lmao💀
Also that overbite looked so severe that it was probably causing her issues in eating, speaking and maybe even migranes? My sis had to have jaw surgery because her underbite was causing her to have migranes
Stop fuckin lying
@DJ Pauly D 🤣🤣🤣
she looked like the Babysitter from The Incredibles 💀
Ong
I'm dead💀💀
NAWW THATS STRAIGHT DISRESPECT
@²¹⁴SIMPLY AN AVERAGE STONE PERSON ⁸⁷⁵ go touch some rocks instead of telling me what to do 🤡
She just seems more relaxed. It’s not just her jaw shape that changed, the very way she holds herself has
She is so pretty after and she is adorable before
Everyone: IT looks amazing!!

@@YouLookLonely73 Np I remember hearing it everywhere and I never knew the songs name.
My husband had the same surgery as Doc Yun. He was in the military, broke his jaw on someone's boot, and the military doctors (students) were like "We can shave off some of your jaw while we're fixing it." and he went for it lol
A few years later, his brother shaved his jaw down too. Korea is difficult with appearances
Them Military Boots Sneak Up On A Person.

The surgery Dr. Youn had isn’t shaving (contouring) the jaw. It’s to take a lower jaw that juts out ahead of the upper jaw, and bring it back to line up properly.
How tf do u break ur jaw on some 1 elses boot?
Im cant imagine the pain involved thru this time, its sad, brave girl
My mother's jaw was unusually small, she had a minor cosmetic surgery to add a little fat pad and make it look more normal. And it did wonders for her face.
so happy for her🥺❤️
I had a double jaw surgery + genioplasty when i was 19, it was the best thing i could of ever done 💖
What are you going to do when you re going to have a kid ? What if they end up having a weak jaw like you did? Or is it a medical condition that rarely affects people?
@@TheAmanor123 Jaw growth is mostly developmental. A lot of people don't reach their true genetic potential for a number of reasons (injury, mouth breathing, malnourishment, etc.) That's why some kids have better or worse jaw development than their parents. I worked in a clinic specializing in this procedure.
@@shannonnelson7764 damn ok, how come some people live in the worst possible conditions but still developed a nice jaw. People in countries with constant war and famine for exemple. And when you say during development, you mean they lack certain hormones or something? Are these people more susceptible to look younger because they didn’t grow up with enough hormones ?
@@TheAmanor123 mouth and tongue positioning changes your bone structure. If you grew up breathing from your mouth and with bad posture your face wouldn’t develop as harmoniously
Just had double jaw and genioplasty done yesterday. Glad to hear you’re happy with hour results
Wow the things doctors can do never fails to amaze me.
Omg. She looks more beautiful and so confident.
She looks so damn beautiful even before the surgery. Her soul is stunning ❤️❤️❤️
Her soul. Really?
This an amazing result! I would have never known with either of you!!!
Nice to see a cosmetic procedure that actually improves the way someone looks!
You looked amazing before, now your smile is unbelievably stunning!
it’s cool how confident and happy she is in the before and after.
She's only happy in the before videos because she is getting her face changed. If she was confident she wouldn't have gotten plastic surgery. But good on her for being able to feel confident now I guess.
People :she look amazing
Me : I want the mashup 🗿

My bfs getting bottom jaw surgery soon, he’s getting it brought forwards🙂 I’m so nervous for him😂

Sometimes a small change can make such a huge difference. This is why like people should not be ashamed if they want to change something.
