    Oooh clever! I am a big fan of ideas that mean I don't have to go to the store to buy things 👌👌👌

      I can’t take credit for the idea but the glue stick method is my own! 🥰💕 I’m also a fan of not buying extra stuff 😁

    Awesome just what I needed. I was trying to remove and open some buttons I had that were already covered. I absolutely mangled one trying to pry it apart and remove the old fabric. I'm actually gonna use ur technique and cover the ones that r already covered. Because they came off an old chair these have really big shanks so I can use the running stitch and leave the shank exposed. Oh, btw way u remind me of Winona Ryder. U sound and look like u could be sisters.

    Thank you, thank you and thank you! It's late at night, I need to make some covered buttons, but all the stores with those supplies are closed. This is a huge help.

      Aw thank you! 💘 I'm really feeling my look lately! 😁 Hmm, I'm not sure how many people would be interested in what I eat but I will definitely consider it! Any particular reason you want to see that?

      Aw thank you! ❤️ It’s been a journey, that’s for sure. A lot of it is genetics and where I store my body fat, but I can make a video and talk about my relationship with food if it would help some people 😊

    Perfect just what I needed. Love your 50's style...sometimes I was reminded of a dark haired Marilyn Mondroe, other times Jane Russell. I am a 49' 'girl' myself.

    They look great . Do you need to put glue on the shank and could you,please, show how to sew them onespecially ones covered with double guaze.

    • @LizVonVillas
      @LizVonVillas  3 роки тому

      You could put some Fray Check on the shank if you wanted to, but it’s not necessary. You just sew it on as you would any other shank button 😁❤️

    This is amazing! I’m just wondering, how do you saw these on? 🤔And the glue isn’t gonna come off in the wash?

    • @LizVonVillas
      @LizVonVillas  3 роки тому +5

      You just run your needle up through the shank and back down through your garment a few times 😁 the glue is just temporary to hold the fabric in place while you sew, it is washable!

    Love this tutorial! My only concern is how to properly sew them into a garment.

    • @LizVonVillas
      @LizVonVillas  2 роки тому +3

      You would sew them on like any other shank button! If you’re concerned about the fabric being too flimsy or delicate, use a little interfacing or scrap fabric to interface on the inside where you attach the button 😊 just go through the shank a few times for security and maybe use a little Fray Check for extra security.

    What about fabric that frays a lot?

    • @LizVonVillas
      @LizVonVillas  3 роки тому

      You can use some Fray Check on the raw edges if you’re worried about fraying. Also, you could cut the circle with pinking shears!
