Also on C4 news, interviewed during the lockdowns he was decrying the draconian measures then undertaken. A stalwart for freedom and democracy, a tory who is a conservative, conserving our rights.

My brother worked for the then Debenhams and received a suspended jail sentence for being party to something he tried to avoid, and was sacked immediately. The then local MP was Sir John Hunt and he raised the matter in the Commons which helped to bring about employment protections that are seemingly under threat, and the thing to note from this is that he was a Conservative who turned down a post in the first Thatcher Government, because he would not be able to champion his constituents' causes. Therefore, not all (but very few these days) are nasty, and he most certainly isn't.

This whole debate is not unfortunately restricted to the UK and the fact is that Labourled countries firewalls Canada. Australia and New Zealand for example all seem to impose excessive controls on their citizens. So this is not unique. For me it doesn't matter who put this motion forward . It is not going to be tolerated. If need be it will be aggressively rejected. We will not allow ourselves to be directed or bullied like some communist country.
