In Simpeler Tijden (english: In Simpler Times) is an album of instrumental chamber music pieces inspired by life in the rural areas of The Netherlands roughly 150 years ago. It’s like a fictional soundtrack covering life from birth ('De Eerste Dag' - The First Day) to death ('Voor Wie De Tijd Gekomen Is' - For Whom The Time Has Come) for a farmer born in the late 19th century.
