  • iilluminaughtii is a name we're all familiar with (sadly). At this point in time, everyone and their grandma have made videos about her downfall. But today I wanted to highlight just how low her channel has sunk and how desperate she's become. Her videos are genuinely abhorrent. She's now disabled comments and it's clear from her videos ideas, she has no dignity

@@kaiservonpanzer213Yeah, the hbomb video shows how doomed her situation was. I remember him tweeting an example of her plagiarism right after her LegalEagle call-out. It seemed like such an odd bit of info to have lying around about someone at the time, but it turned out he was already orchestrating her downfall months in advance.
Even if she hadn't attacked LegalEagle and set the chain reaction of allegations in motion, she was going to get exposed a few months later and probably have the same chain reaction happen. There was nothing she could've done. She was doomed the moment her channel took off. If I were her but still capable of self reflection, that knowledge would haunt me for the rest of my life. It would simultaneously feel like the universe itself was conspiring against me and it was my fault. (She isn't, so she's claiming it's a smear campaign of false allegations)
The only question is if she would've benefited from not being the only plagiarist exposed, preventing her from monopolizing the UA-cam commentary scene like before, or if her worse allegations would've shielded the other plagiarists from the backlash they're getting now.

Speaking about her content going downhill, her last video titled The Dark Side of Disaster Releif has a portion without her voiceover.
The segment/chapter titled Hawaii, time range 13:58 - 18:43, continues normally otherwise. There is background music, supportive footage, articles, and even her character moving as it normally does while talking. It's only missing the most important thing.
Looks like quality control is gone. I wonder if she even had time to review before uploading or if she has no editor and she had to rush it on her own, otherwise, more than 4 minutes without a voiceover couldn't have gone unnoticed and still have the video up for 11 days as of now. And having comments disabled doesn't help her either.

I've never had the bitter privilege of having reason to visit a hospice facility but I know that it's a needed and important thing to have in society. Many terminally ill people need skilled care, which is really hard to provide as a family member who ISN'T a nurse. I would know, my mom had a spinal cord injury last year and my dad has fairly progressed Alzheimer's. I'm their sole caregiver. I have a bachelor's in psychology. I'm not qualified and it's been an extremely uphill struggle. But that only gives me the perspective to deeply appreciate nurses and other skilled care workers. What they do is extremely difficult, stressful, and mentally draining. Abuses exist in every healthcare field and we need to detect them and remove them, but that doesn't make it all evil.

Well, I can say it was true out of experience. What Hospice did with my Grandma was basically legalized murder, then, for the cherry on top, they wanted to pin my Grandma's demise on me, because of a mistake I did that put her in there in the first place.
Keep in mind, I was around 14, so this was a long time ago. I made a lot of mistakes in my life and I do not wish to disclose the details of the foolish mistake I made. But it did snap me into reality. I learned a very important lesson, actions have consequences.
Their excuse was. "We're just making them feel comfortable until they pass." So they're basically killing them with kindness, literally.
That is the only thing I can say for sure that she's right about from personal experience, it still doesn't change the fact that she chooses to be a terrible person.

    • @Limitedonathios
      @Limitedonathios 6 місяців тому

@@xombiekillaAs someone with a similar experience, please read this through, bc I understand where you come from and a lot of the pain: I’m sure there are hospices out there that are terrible, and not to discredit your experience, but when someone is in hospice they have less than 6 months to live. How do we know? Because their organs are slowing down, their liver and kidney levels indicate early failure, their O2 sat is incorrect signaling respiratory failure, etc. There are other things that can cause organ failure or that can be causing death on their own like major accidents, tumors, cancer, chronic disease, etc. *Aka “killing them” at that point is extremely difficult to do,* their own bodies are directing the demise at that stage and doing so very well. There are some people who can “graduate” and leave hospice, but they tend to be from backgrounds of terminal illness or tumors that didn’t progress as quickly as expected due to new treatment options or surgeries that have become available, although I’m sure there are exceptions to each category.
I could be wrong but from you described, hospice did not kill your relative. They did not “kill her with kindness.” Sometimes end of life is peaceful, other times it is extremely painful and is essentially torture for 6 months, especially in America where they try to treat what’s wrong. In other countries, your heart fails or an organ dies and that’s it, you die where you are or at the ER. America has stabilizing techniques to help people to still live despite major organ injury. Sometimes they “live” directly into hospice
I might understand where you are. I was in situation where I did not intervene and I think it contributed to my grandmothers untimely death, also at 14. But you need to see a professional, whether it’s your religious leader, a therapist, or a grief counselor. From what I read from your recounting of the incident, you blamed and still blame yourself but feeling fully responsible is painful, so you blamed it on the hospice so you wouldn’t feel totally at fault. You deferred part of the blame to the hospice as “killing her with kindness,” although they just tried to reduce her pain as her organs continued to fail or her brain function declined. And did they blame you for killing her, or did they blame the incident that killed her, and in your grief, worry, and maybe shame, you felt that it was a direct attack where they blamed you? Similar things have happened to me, but working through them helped immensely. *And sometimes, it was nobody’s “fault,” bad things can just happen.* Like you said, you were 14 and may have been very sheltered, you may have not received adequate guidance of right/wrong, or you may have just been a goof like most 14yos are. Accidents happen, kids are famously unable to suspect dire consequences. That’s why many need supervision. You did not realize that actions have consequences until that age as you say in that paragraph. It was a huge lesson for you, but that tells me that it was not intentional, you are not evil, and the blame doesn’t fall on you for the terrible outcome. Whatever happened truly seems like it was an accident. An accident that you caused not knowing better. If a drunk driver ends someone’s life in an accident, that was their fault, they knew sober they shouldn’t drive after drinking, and they knew drunk/buzzed that they shouldn’t drive while drinking because you can end someone, and that is taught everywhere. They know the consequences. But a 14yo not realizing the gravity of the situation means the accident occurred and resulted in death and “fault” is not ascribed in the same way it can be to the drunk driver. If you accidentally step on a wire that kills someone 3 houses down the road was it your fault? No, it is truly and wholly an accident. Can someone blame you and say it was your fault, yes. But the blame and outcome do not lie squarely on your shoulders as if you were the planner of such a terrible demise. An accident changed you and your grandmothers lives forever. You did not intentionally conspire for you and your grandma to lose so much. Have grace for yourself

She had to drive to check on patients in the middle of the night and confirm that some people were dead. She only quit when she married my dad at his request because he was concerned about the emotional impact it had on her. She still talks about many of the patients that she befriended. How anyone could demonize hospice is incredible to me. It’s about making people feel comfortable and as pain-free as possible before they pass on and it’s one hell of a job

Seeing Oz's livestream a while ago where he was in a state of panic broke me. I can't understand how anybody would do that to someone they used to call a friend or even a partner, especially after she's been relentless even before then. I was a big fan before. Even had lots of merch. And I feel like almost every controversy about her was chalked up to her controversial content. Once the exposed video came out tho, something about it didn't sit right with me. When I looked into Wonderstruck as a creator, I was like wait... this can't be right. Then, when his video came out, that's when I knew everything anyone had ever said about Blair was right, and she was the wrong one. I think she has learned a lot of techniques for how to hide things due to her content, but there is just no way to hide what is happening now

You know what's interesting? I used to think illuminaughtii sounded pretty vibrant and intelligent. She struck me as a lively, smooth, albeit slightly dry talker.
Then I watched this video, and holy shit compared to Savantics sharp tongue and energy, the difference is like night and day. Sav is like an eager college debater shitposting bullet point after bullet point without breaking a sweat, while illuminaughtii sounds like a depressed, childless school principal. She's stuffy and there's this weird superiority complex undertone to her voice that makes her sound like she's lecturing the viewer or talking down to them. Maybe it's burnout or maybe it's big Karen energy, but it's something I've never noticed before.

She used to put out at least two videos a week, & now she's barely managing to put out one every two or three weeks. I just checked her channel & saw that she hasn't released any new content in over four weeks at this point. I wonder if she's finally given up. Considering that her newest videos have barely managed to scrape in 13k views (down from well over a million at her height), it wouldn't surprise me. Her channel is d-e-a-d DEAD.

I think the context was about how PETA showed a bunch of graphic stuff to children, and how even though she didn't really like children, it was horrible to show all that graphic stuff to them (which is fair tbh) but while she was saying she didn't like children, she said something along the lines of "even if you're in your early 20s, you're a child to me" and uhhh considering she was dating Oz when he was 20 and how she abused him, and also Wonderstruck saying she will surround herself with younger men... uh, thats a yikes from me!

Her video about hospice care pissed me off with how uninformed she is. Lost my dad to end-stage COPD and lung cancer earlier this year and having him in in-home hospice care honestly was the best thing we could have done for him as his condition worsened. He passed at home with his wife, daughter, and pets by his side. The workers were so kind and compassionate, and offered my mom and me counseling after he passed away. I get that there are bad actors--you're gonna find them everywhere unfortunately--but in my experience, hospice workers are generally kind, empathetic, and understanding of the terminally-ill and their families. It sounds paranoid, but I'm used to waiting weeks or months (sometimes even years ehm Oversimplified) for a video from a good creator to come out. The wait time increases my joy to when the video gets released and gives me a notion that the creator is putting in a lot of work and research for the video to be good. This is not always the case, but it gives me somewhat of an idea.
When I saw that, Illuminaughty uploaded very frequently. I kind of grew suspicious of the research she does on her videos, so I stopped watching. Then the whole legaleagle stuff came, and everything came crashing down.
I watched one of her more recent videos over theme parks just to see how she was doing. The research for that video to me just made no sense. Roller coasters are pretty safe, and for her to act like it's not does not make sense.

I think that part of why she dropped SO DRASTICALLY in viewers compared to other channels who get canceled may be the sort of audiences she's pulling. She's a hypocrite, clearly, and partakes in the exact same actions she criticizes, in front of audiences who are already partial toward those issues, or else they wouldn't be watching her content. She's hit viewers with the exact thing they came to her videos to criticize, shady business practices, abusive behavior and hypocrisy.

Hospice Volunteer myself here. I find it repulsive that someone would try to slander an organization that honestly does a lot of good. My grandfather, who had cancer, was a hospice patient and the level of care that he was given was beyond great. The nurses and volunteers who work to give those who are terminally ill and their families dignity deserve a lot of respect. That’s why I give back and why it sucks that people like iilluminaughtii feel the need to promote lies about it.

Here's the thing about Blair, she's just the voice. Yes, she had to lay-off a bunch of people, but she still has someone else do everything else for her. The writing, the editing you name it, and she gives them 0 oversight.
She even took months to realise her outro had changed, which is like... How? Wasn't she recording the outro? Which makes me believe that she may have just put her voice on a good bot... aka, she might not even be doing the voice anymore... she's literally just a figure head, spokesperson.

Always makes me happy to see that people are not letting this go. Blair really I'd around and found out Hard. I'm also sitting here wondering when the hell I got unsubscribe from you because I definitely don't recall unsubbing and I do not approve of youtube doing this to me. I have so much to catch up on now! Also my lord that video on hospice pissed me off, especially her comments about dementia. Both of my grandma's have been in hospice care to some extent. One in a hospital for it and the other at my house because of her dementia. My mom's an LPN with 30 years in the medical field so it was decided that she was better with us than suck at an unfamiliar place as her mental state deteriorated but it took her a few years to reach that point. Dementia isn't always an intimidate fall into delusion or incoherency. It can hit fast and it can hit slow. For her it started out slow but once it started getting bad it snowballed quick. Nothing in medicine is a cut and dry fix, Especially with mental illness. Her "All hospice bad" attitude makes it really feel like she's rage baiting. Either that or she's really just stopped giving a shit because yeah there are bad eggs in hospice care but those exist in Every Single Line Of Work so only focusing on the bad eggs either means you didn't bother to research, had a bad experience and think that's the Only experience, or of course, as I mentioned, you just don't give a rats ass anymore.

Being able to put a family member who's dying in hospice is such an important thing to be able to do as well. Not only is it often about keeping the dying person comfortable for their final days, but it can take stress off the family. Used to what happened was family was in charge of taking care of this dying family member and it would often strain them to breaking points. You couldn't enjoy your final days with grandpa because you were exhausted from taking care of grandpa (and it could sometimes result in really awful final moments that people regretted and couldn't ever take back or negative emotions about being happy they finally died). Hospice removes that physical and mental burden of care and lets you simply enjoy the time that remains with your loved one.
And the idea that all dementia patients are incapable of directing their own care at all times is definitely harmful. Removing the ability to self-direct care from someone who only has minor problems will only further the decline. Remaining mentally alert and active and still doing things has been shown to help stave off dementia, so removing their ability to do those things because you want to treat them like invalids will just make the condition worse and make their situation more agitated.

Honestly looking back there were so many red flags.
One of which being the fact that she kept accepting sponsorships from companies that were INCREDIBLY shady and even outright scams ie kamikoto knives and betterhelp. I wouldn't be surprised if she accepted a sponsorship from TEMU at some point, too. While sponsorships are a necessary evil of youtube, I'd expect people who have the entire schtick of business exposee pieces to at least research their sponsors thoroughly before accepting them. Research every sponsor she's accepted in the past year and I guaruntee some of them will have at least some controversies.
