Thank you for making a video that actually showcases this watch with live shots. Not a lot of videos on this particular model anyway, but most show pictures only. This watch is def on my list
I swear I didn't even notice the date at all until you pointed it out. So maybe that's a subliminal thing they figured out? Aside from watch junkies who might obsess over it. Great looking watch...But i wonder why no one is calling this a Zenith, oh I mean that other speedway watch homage? But yeah, now we have been conditioned by the bubble we live in that it's in-house or bust....but I really do think that is self-defeating. Like the ETA in my old Tudor ran absolutely perfectly, so if the company regulates them, why not. happy Easter Andrew. Great episode.
A nice watch, think the clasp is cool. Hate bulky clasps. I prefer pins and collar systems too, never had a fail yet. And they are easier to size once you know how. I always think the movements thing is overdone, quite happy with plus minus 10 secs a day as long as the movement is easy to service. I done care if my watch loses a minute a week, as they are so quick to adjust. Buy an in-house omega movement at it's probably going to have to go back to omega for a service, and a large cost. I'm not sure that this tag is worth the 5k price tag though. After a year or so of ownership you might get Back 2k, if you got bored with it. Generally tags hold value quite well, until you get to the dearer pieces. I would stick to omegas and tudor in this price point. Let's be honest most watches lose money as soon as you buy them from new. I always buy 2nd hand and let someone else take the hit. Rolex are the obvious exception, but I feel omega are catching up. If omega offered slimmer watches and smaller clasps , and bracelets that taper a bit for comfort, then they could dethrone rolex by their superior choices and more daring designs. Time will tell of course but omega prices are holding strong too now . Tags are popular, and to be honest, the aquaracer is a strong design for its price, and they do look impressive on the wrist, but I believe they are strong in the 1k to 2k market, because of their name and their appealing designs.
Good review Andrew. What about a vid on that old chesnut “what is the perfect number for a collection”? I’m at 9 and some get very little wrist time, but can’t bear to sell!
Does the " One of 1860" mean anything? I understood there were only 1860 pieces made and each was numbered differently but the watch you reviewed says it, so is the one photographed in the tag website and the one I saw at a jeweler store in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Andrew, great video and I totally get what you’re saying about the micro adjustability, it can be maddening. I’m in the same camp as you I just can’t believe they can have such a fabulous watch and no micro adjustment. Did you try to adjust this watch to see if it fit you perfectly? I’m going inside to the dealer and being socially unacceptable have them fit the bracelet for me first😎. It’s a lot of money to invest if it doesn’t fit right. Thanks for your videos always enjoyable.
Cheers Jeff,,, and if they can fit it for you why not,,, you wouldn’t try a pair of size 12s on if your feet were a 7 and go,,, “yeah, I think they will be comfy, I’ll take them!” 🤣
When it comes to movements I want something tried, tested and reliable, too many watch nerds want in-house as it has more 'horological significance.' For me, it doesn't matter If you like it and can afford it why not buy it? As for the TAG my brain is conditioned to seeing the date at three or six, not twelve, personally, I couldn't live with it.
Great review mate. Its a nice looking watch , but would i go out and buy it . Afraid not . I know quite a lot of watch enthusiasts, slate tag . I'm not in this camp but it just doesnt grab me . For a little bit more money you can get a grand Seiko GMT . As for a near five grand watch with push pins , that's really not on . It hardly cries out quality or luxury but hey ho 👍
@@watchandrew totally agree mate . Its an ok watch but I personally feel theirs better watches out there in that price bracket . Keep up the good work Andrew 👍
Tag are the fisher price of the watch world, I like most people had a tag as my first luxury watch. Still have it, original f1 34mm. Got that as I couldn’t afford the Monza at the time 😁
It’s definitely wearable and a great watch - if you have a few watches varying in size this may start to seem bigger buy default…. I couldn’t have it in the collection currently as my watches are39/40 at moment but I’ve had 44mm watches in the collection tons of times
Thats what I like about tag... they tank so badly then I purchase them at less than half price and then they are good value for money. Would never buy new unless its rolex.
I got myself this one today. I was looking into adding another Breitling Chrono to the collection, but I wanted something a bit more versatile (as in wearing 'conditions') and this one just ticked more boxes than the Breitlings (Chronomat, SuperOcean Heritage, Aviator 8 etc). Looks great dressed, but fits a casual outfit perfect too. And the panda style dial looks awesome imho. I'm going to try it out with a black croco strap too (like the one on the Rose Gold Skeletonized version), I think that'll suit the watch perfectly too. Very happy with this one.
@@watchandrew Thank you, it really is, indeed. The dial is so vibrant, a beauty to look at and enjoy! Your video really helped in the decision process :)
I love TAGs myself. I have owned more Omegas than any other brand but I do love TAGs. I will add this however... TAG Heuer has earned whatever bad rep they now have. From what I can gather they are building better watches of late but they have a long way to go to catch Omega in my opinion.

Glad it was helpful! - appreciate the feedback mate
Awesome power reserve, exhibition case back, great build quality and reasonable water resistance. The Rolex snobs will hate it🤔😃
😆 - it’s a great looking and well built watch for sure
Very sharp and awesome Ceramic Bezel Chronograph Panda Watch🤩🤩🤩

Happy Easter mate,, great comment as always..
What a beautiful 🤩 watch, why do people dislike this brand? I love em . Great video mate.
99.9 times out of 10😂😂😂 Had me in fits!
Love this new version, I've got an old carrera chrono it was a 40th BD 🎁 from the wife so will be me forever 👍
Definitely a keeper then pal!!! very nice
@@watchandrew yep will keep the watch.......the wife on the other hand 🤔🤔 🤣🤣
Just discovered this watch. This ones a winner.
Really nice looking isn’t it!!
I bought the blue carrera a few days ago. They're all beautiful, love it.
great watches, congrats! Glad you like them!
Tag should be my first expensive Swiss made watch. I’ve been looking at TAG vs Omega. I’m into bike racing so I’m also looking at Tissot

some great points Martin 👍
Good review Andrew.

That would make a good topic... I might try it as ive had difficulty with wearing all my watches myself recently
I have 21 and probably wear 8 but can't stop buying. I would love to have 6 and wear them more but I just can't see it happening. I need help 🤣
7:08 yeah at £4895 one should expect a good screw 😂😂😂
Kidding aside, that’s a great looking watch and the clasp looks the business.
at that price definitely need a good screw!!!
Great review of a nice watch but not for me, at that price. To many others to choose from. Keep them coming
cheers pal,,
"People want inhouse movements"... Yeah, until that point that they have that watch serviced. I know, I own a few of those. 😂
Does the " One of 1860" mean anything?

This was the first watch that I ever purchased. It's kinda chunky for me now

Hahaha oh man, love the video but that old pic 😂😂😂
glad you liked it mate 🙌🙌😂
11:20 Crown down 😮 watch geek faux pas
haha!
Hi Andrew, for reference how big are your wrists?
Hi Cory,,, 6.75inch 👍
@@watchandrew Thank you! Out of interest did you feel it was the right size or too large? It looks about right on your wrist from the video!

I match my watch to my clothes and my ray bans. Everyone thinks I'm weird apart from you weirdo's 🤪
Don't buy it. You are a serial flipper. The price will tank!
the Planet ocean??
@@watchandrew planet ocean is very nice but for a chronograph can you stretch to Zenith!

Looks like everyone is getting onboard with making ceramic bezel chronos
Tag have been making them since 2015 when JCB took over
I looked at the watch for quite a while before I even noticed the date at 12! It is a good location.
99 times out of 10 you prove videos are filmed in one go! 😂
Love these genuine honest videos!!!
Why do you keep showing me that orange omega on your channel 😂😂 I am soooo close but yet so far away from getting it top video as always mate 👍👍🔥🔥
me too pal,,, im very close!!
@@watchandrew I have both on order at berry's in york.... Which do I pick 🤣🤣
Vs the new Tudor Panda Chrono
Lack of micro adjusts is always a put off for me.
Bloody good looking piece that!!
nice for sure mate,, good quality as well
@@watchandrew just a shame about that bracelet. Needs adjustment and screws
Im not a TAG fan but this watch is truly a step up at the price point. I think Ill buy one.
great quality watches

Nice, but it doesn't have the gorgeous link bracelet like my Tag Heuer Formula 1 Senna 25th anniversary edition.
Sir this cerrara and SLS benz straps size r same or different,24mm?
i have one. it is 22 mm
Where are you from Andrew? Sounds very West Yorkshire to me 🤔
Huddersfield pal… 🙌🙌🙌
@@watchandrew in Leeds myself but originally from Wakefield.
Great video, i’m seriously thinking of buying this watch in the other colour way.
2 year warranty is just sad.
😆 it’s an emotional time for all of us👍
Just bought this from Hodinkee. Arrived today. For what it's worth, they provide an extra year.
Patek warranty is 2 years fwiw
