Welcome back! Glad your trip went well. Congrats on a beautiful finish! Happy to see Black'd Skie on the wall, too. We resisted before, we will resist again.
I was only half-way through yesterday...there's so much to see in your videos that I have to take my time, and pause for interruptions, sigh. I love the Ivy's Sampler by Lone Elm Tree, I've never seen it before. The design of the flowers and basket, very unique. The words I would replace with a line of poetry. I love your channel ❤🩹
I do pack the videos full, don't I? I had so much to talk about this time. I'm really considering moving to bi-weekly videos. Ivy's Sampler would be great with a line of poetry! Thank you for hanging out.
Great to see you Michelle. I'm so glad that you enjoyed your trip to New Orleans. It's a great foodie place. I'm also glad that you found some Tarot cards. Enjoy the frame. I thought of you because of your love for TDF. Hugs and Happy Stitching!
@@MichelleBendyStitchy I had lots of fun with it! I used to do little crafts with the kids to match the book or series we were reading. I had K-8th grade students and I had a blast with them!
@@MichelleBendyStitchy it was a blast! I used to do crafts with the kids that coordinated with the books or series I was reading to them. One time the Superintendent and Principal were walking a group through the school to learn about our reading program and I just happened to be in the story pit wearing a handmade spider headband complete with dangling legs. I was reading to one of my kindergartner classes and when I finished I heard clapping. Turned around to look out the window and there stood the tour group. They had listened to me read the story 😁 I always had a ton of fun whether I was reading, checking out books, teaching map skills or USA state trivia. I had K - 8th grade students.
Yes that was meee! #QueuedUpSAL. I need to get back to that SAL too. Those Mojo patterns are just so beautiful. Everyone is doing that library one, so pretty!
I read a bit of everything so I’m thinking of stitching the bookmarks and reading the recommended book at the same time. Love a good small project for my work breaks! I’m always looking through the older magazines and patterns, they have a special place in my stitchy heart except for the back stitching!
Hi. Michelle, I'm glad you had a great trip to New Orleans. My favorite genres are Fantasy with lots of action and a hint of romance. I also enjoy a good mystery/ spy story.
I was amazed how many lovely magazines were on the freebie table at Stitch North. Someone even put all of the 2024 Just Cross Stitch magazines. Love your message about repurposing older patterns. 🦉🧵
I jumped on the Bookmark Book with a quickness, for two reasons. 1. Literacy is so extremely important. Reading is near and dear to my heart. 2. There are 27 patterns by some truely excellent designers, and that's a phenominal deal for USD$15. Get the Bookmark Book - it's fabulous!
I've been watching with awe and appreciation every Stitch For Pride 2024 design you've showed. I just wish I had known about this project when the SAL was first launched, in 2023, I think? Do you know if these designs will ever be released? They are amazing. And the learning involved!! Awesome. PS I'm planning to contribute to both of the charity projects you talked about---I love the designs, but I love the motivation behind both projects even more.
Thanks Rose! Stitch for Pride has been so much fun. I’m not sure if Dee will release the sampler at a later date. That’s a great question. I’d say keep an eye on their social media to see if there’s a 2025 Sal and when to buy. This one was on sale in December 2023.
As the mother of a gay son, I was devastated by the election results. But I practice acts of resistance to keep the hope alive. My favorite books to read are high fantasy/fantasy. If there's a dragon or wizards, I'm there for it! I don't practice tarot, but the art on those decks was amazing.
When you think you made a comment, but it didn't go through....lol Shorten Recap: 1. Love the decks! 2. The bookmark set was worth it. Glad it's doing so well. 3. Fave genre - steampunk and cozy fantasy such as legends and lattes. 4. Spread your joy! Glad you had fun in NO. We still haven't made it to Garon Stitchery. 😅 Have a great week 🍁
My first Chapel Roan song was My Kink is Karma and it’s my second favorite, give it a listen though before you play around children depending on what your threshold is for the age 😂, but my number one favorite is Pink Pony Club. I haven’t been able to do a lot of stitching this past week, but I did start your with fear for our democracy pattern from what I had in stash and it’s helping me process some.
I, too, was sorely disappointed by the election results and found I could not/would not want to be around others. Luckily I live in the country west of Eugene and could find some inner peace through nature. As I slowly merge back into society I will try and have some hopeful focus regarding fellow Americans...but nature will remain my main companion.
I definitely recommend watching Chappell Roan’s SNL performance as a nosedive into her stuff and her vibes! Also don’t skip her old old stuff- its good too
@@MichelleBendyStitchy ah ok, I didn't make it so I couldn't ask while you were live (the ads drive me nuts on twitch, so I like YT better, but that's just e)

Thank you! The trip was great. Black’d Skie was the first thing I hung up!! And yes. We will resist.
OMGosh! I love the beading and cross stitch magazines! I've been beading since the 90s.
How fun!! Have you seen the magazines before?
@ no I’ve never seen them! I’m so glad you showed them so I can look for them.

I'm a former children's librarian and I donated to get the bookmark collection as fast as I could!
Thank you for being a children's librarian! That must have been a fun and challenging job.

When is doubt Brando Sando will ALWAYS be the answer 😍😍😍😍
You and Megan taught me this!!
I'm planning to stitch a few of them for Christmas gifts!
Great idea! So many options as well.

I read horror, thriller, true crime and a lot of non-fiction, but will read almost anything.
True Crime is a good one!

I have the MFE Summer Bower pattern too, it's so cute. What fabric are you stitching it on?
It’s super cute. Mine is on an evenweave that my friend Diana dyed.
❤
💕💕
I don't see where you went live on UA-cam today?
Hopefully she does next week. Love listening to her chat/stitch. Perfect end to the week.
Something was wrong and I couldn’t get the UA-cam live stream to work. 😭😭 I’ll be back next week.

I read science fiction and mysteries.
Those are two great ones! Thank you.
