I love them sooo much! Victoria is the only spice girl to have all of her singles in the top 10! She chose fashion and family but I wish she made a new record!! XD Mel C has had the most successful solo career. Would you consider including other countries? Mel C had no1s in many other countries too

Mel C is the best solo Spice. Has the voice and songwriting talent. 'I Turn To You' amazing dance track and still sounds fresh 22 years on. "Carolyna" should have been a huge hit. Geri is fun, 'Calling' should have been a bigger hit sadly. Very heartbreaking ballad and shows she can sing. Emma really suited the 60s vibe. 'Maybe' should have been a huge #1 hit. Best song of 2003! I like her cover of 'Downtown'. Vicki - she's not the best singer but the most successful and a decent woman. 'Let Your Head Go' is my fave solo song of hers. Mel B, gorgeous and good personality I probably like "Tell Me", "Lullaby" and "Today". Her second album is bloody awful mind!
Victoria was pretty good as a solo artist.
One of my favourite groups who I was lucky enough to see live last year 😍 their string of U.K. #1s is so impressive!
2 Become 1 is my favorite Spice Girl's song. It brings me good memories of my 12 years old. And I love Northern Star, my favorite song of my favorite Spice Girl, Mel C. ^_^

The most successful Solo spice girl is Melanie C. She placed three songs in the top 5 of the best selling singles in the united kingdom and had the best selling albums by far. This is the uk chart but she had the most success in Europe Too. Uk+Europe, best selling solo spice girl and most successful solo career
You do realize Geri had the most number ones, right? And they were consecutive. Mel C is leagues above Geri in vocal and dance skills…but Geri just charged better. 🤷🏻♂️
@@bradleyrichard You do realize that Mel C had the most international number 1s, the best selling albums, the most certifications and just sold more records period, right? Her songs are still selling more in streamings too. Let's not forget that Geri only lasted for 2 minutes on her own, she flopped harder actually. Mel C is just the most successful solo spice in music XD, away from music its Victoria XD
@@ashleydavidson8366 of course Mel C has sold more records. She’s been recording solo material consistently since like 1999. And that continued presence has definitely helped her previous albums and singles maintain some sort of appreciation on streaming and with sales. And of course I’m not overlooking her diverse musical styles and impressive vocal talents. I was simply pointing out that Geri, arguably the least talented dancer and singer, had more number ones than any of the other Spice Girls, the highest charting solo album in the UK (and the US, somehow), and I think is the only Spice Girl to perform on the Brit Awards as a solo artist. And she basically only had one and a half successful solo albums.
@@bradleyrichard Mel C sold more records at the time that she released them. Her albums and hits sold more than the other spice solo songs. I agree with u that she's still doing good, I think herr last album was top 10 in UK. Mel C had the highest charting album in the uk, it peaked at number 4 , so did Geri but Mel C first album is also the best selling album in the UK & everywhere by far. Mel C third album also sold more & charted higher than Geris, it also produced a number 1 hit in europe, in fact Mel C is the spice girl with overall the most number 1s in all the countries. Mel C got more certified records too. In the US the spice girls all flopped with their solo stuff
Fascinating video as I love chart history. Here in the US, the Spice Girls did not have the Mega success as in the UK. When "Spice Up Your Life" (my FAVE!) was released, the single went gold here, but US Radio decided to shut out another UK act, I believe because they may have gotten tired of them. "Spice Up" hit #18 on the Billboard chart, but stalled at #72 on the Radio Airplay chart which was appalling for a gold single! You can see that this was the beginning of the end of their US career. As far as solo material, none made an impact, despite the chart succes of all 5 members in the UK which is extraordinary!! Honestly, I never knew of the solo successes or even heard of most of these songs. I did hear Mel C's "I Turn To You" when it came out (on a Dance radio station) and was surprised it was not a US Pop Hit.
I think the tepid response to Geri’s solo album in the US lead Virgin to not release any of the other solo material here.
@@thekey1313 Her string of hit UK singles was impressive! I only heard of "Look At Me" which I thought could be a hit here, but it was ignored.
I remember Look At Me got heavy play in MTV, not none of the follow up singles go released here. Mel B’s Want You Back was played all the time on the R&B countdowns, but her album wasn’t released here. After Geri left it’s like Virgin stopped believing in them and the girls stopped trying to promote themselves in the US even though there was obvious interest.
Thankfully the world does not revolve around the USA. No one knew that better than ABBA.
@@blogshagify US did catch up with ABBA years later, as "ABBA Gold" sold well over 10 million copies in various formats. Of course the musical "Mamma Mia" was a huge hit too. US can be a different market to promote an act even from the US.
Bagged up a good tally of Solo Numbers and top tens between them. I wish they could have balanced staying as a group while doing their solo stuff.

How is it the worst singer and dancer of the group had the most successful solo career? I love Geri. Team Ginger for life. But I know what she’s good at it and what she’s just ok at. It was never her high notes or dance moves that glued me to her vids and songs. I just think it’s strange (and wonderful) that she became the most successful.

Mel C is the most successul Solo Spice Girl with 20 million records sold. In the UK she had the 2 best selling albums, best selling singles and as an extra 2 no1s, 7 top 10 hits and the most entries until 2013. In Europe she had the 4 best selling albums with the best charting results, the most no1s hits in more countries, the best selling singles. I thought 2 of her successful singles were missing here but then I realized that they weren't released in the UK Lol. First Day of My Life and Beautiful Intentions had so much success in Europe between 2005 and 2006, selling the most records and getting no.1 in many countries. I remember clearly that the same year Ginger spice flopped and her career tanked.
