I want to extend anti caste statements.. Modern Hindus are divided into artificial Brahmins as Judges, Police as artificial Kshatriyas etc..Division of Hindus is bad. It divides hindus. So this division should be removed. All Hindus should be allowed to keep weapons as was done in past irrespective of caste. All Hindus must be allowed to have their own judges to settle the community issues. Castism is bad. Artificial castesism of selecting only a few as police(kshatriya) and few as judges(brahmins) divides Hindus. We can see how many Hindus marriage are breaking because of this artificial caste system. These artificial Brahmins like Judges and Policy makers make laws which are breaking families and children. .... We should adopt UK and other European countries based system where kings(kshatriyas) are based on birth, like we have in our "stories" of Mahabharata and Ramayana. In Kaliyuga everyone is a shudra. So actually there are no real brahmins, kshtrayas or vaishyas right now. They are all name-sakes. The society needs all 4 of them. It has nothing to do with any religion, or with Hinduism. Every heterogenous society has castes and classes, varna and family professions. We should learn from old ideas but not fossilize them. So many born-brahmins joined army and even became chiefs of staff - 10 out of 29 are born-brahmins. Basically shudra is a person who does not lead but obey. Caste discrimination in hindu scriptures:
Well vedas : rigveda gives definition of four varna, yajurveda mentions definition of chandal and nishadha which is proof of birth based varna system and discrimination (Google what it means),
mahabharat has many stories about birth based varna system ( check what " sut" in sutputra karna means. Its not sudra like most believe) ,
Bhagwat Gita is just part of mahabharat so in that context it does believe in birth based discrimination right there.
bhagwat Gita talks about paap yoni ( even women and vaishya are called paap yoni) etc and says one must do work of varna he was born into no matter how bad he was at it, and never do work of other varna no matter how good he is at it, (bhagwatGita 18:47)....
with this context all Gita is actually trying to implement birth based varna system and discrimination out of which caste system originated. So caste discrimination is a religious problem that needs to be addressed. No one wants to do that because whole edifice of religion comes down with it.
In Kaliyuga everyone is a shudra. So actually there are no real brahmins, kshtrayas or vaishyas right now. They are all name-sakes. The society needs all 4 of them. It has nothing to do with any religion, or with Hinduism. Every heterogenous society has castes and classes, varna and family professions. We should learn from old ideas but not fossilize them. So many born-brahmins joined army and even became chiefs of staff - 10 out of 29 are born-brahmins. Basically shudra is a person who does not lead but obey. Anyone who does not lead or lacks leadership urge or leadership qualities is a shudra. For example, Dr. Ambedkar was not a shudra.
