This channel got me into Bonsai, and I know it’s not the coolest thing that a 16 year can do but I find it super interesting. I now have 4 little pine trees that just sprouted and I’m trying to make them into bonsai. Thank you for making this channel Edit: please give me any tips you can think of!
This is an insane hobby to have at 16 teaches you patients and respect for nature some people lack. It's been 2 years now since you posted this, how are they doing"?
I just got a bonsai one week ago and im looking forward to see it grow! I think they planted 2 in a pot because I see 2 trunks and it doesnt really look like a bonsai. It just looks normal. Im 12 so i dont know a lot about trees as it isnt really my hobby. Can someone give me a couple more tips to bonsai trees? like trimming or repoting and when to know to do both or where the best spot the bonsai can be put inside of an apartment. The leaves are also dipping down a little. Should I be worried? It is winter and I know it cant be out in the cold but a lot of wind has breezed by onto it
damn good point for beginners about oxygen replacing water by "daring" to let the soil dry a little. most would want to help their little trees by watering them like good boys and girls as often as possible and by that they over-nurture them to death.
I’m growing bonsai seeds rn and I’m trying to find how to water them but I can’t find anything. I just use a spray bottle, can anyone let me know if I’m doing it right or if there’s a better way?
Not to criticize, but, growing any Bonsai from seeds is a "young person's hobby".... You will need YEARS to have a good looking Bonsai tree.... Me, at Real OLD, I bought a 5-7 year old Green Mound Juniper from HomeDepot for ~ 36 bucks and I certainly do not have the "hundred" years left to try to plant anything from seed. IF you are a "young person", then go for it as it will take LOTS of years to have a good looking tree 🙂 P.S. If you go the seed route, plant LOTS as you will have a bunch die in the first weeks or so and if successful, you will have MANY trees to practice with as you will definitely mess some up.... Don't wait YEARS for just a few, plant as MANY as you can....
Very effective for BONZAI POLYTER® is a hydro-retention device with a very high capacity to optimize the needs and development of the plant. POLYTER®'s semi-permeable polymeric membrane allows a very strong absorption of the liquids released slowly and in very small quantities according to the local parameters (temperature, light, humidity, type of plant...). By a specific POLYTER® "encapsulation" operating mode, a fertilizer balance (NPK) and trace elements are incorporated in the polymer chambers. Today, the effectiveness of POLYTER® is recognized in many fields of plant production: agriculture, arboriculture, horticulture, green spaces, nurseries, vegetalization...
I’ve just been submerging mine every once in awhile to get rid of the Ants. It’s been working pretty well however this is still some ants there. It’s working slowly but surely.
No matter what I do with Bonsai trees from the home depot they start to die. Leaves fall off and change color, even under optimal environments. I think home depot is ripping ppl off. 😠
Craziest, yet best explanation about how to water a bonsai.
