I think investing only in dividends stock should be conceivable. When you are young you re invest the dividends to buy more stocks and accumulate (unless you need to use your cash for something else). This makes compound interests because more stocks more dividends. And when you retire you get regular income every year (or very half or every quarter, depending on the company).
