    Thank you so much for making this video I'm going to try and make this folar for the family this 4th of July I've been trying to make things i remember from being a kid. I'm Portuguese as well so is my wife's family this will be great, thank you!

    My mother in-law bought me the taste of Portugal book for Christmas and i just realized it's your book lol. The pastéis de nata are now a mandatory for me to make at family events and now I'm going for the folar as well this is awesome i love it .

    Ayyy! This is VERY similar to how my mother does it (although she doesn't use any butter.. she can't have butter at all) but it still comes out great. Yours look VERY similar to ours except that we use chouriça, bacon and presunto for the meats. I had to learn to make them when I started to live alone back when I lived out in California, but ever since coming back to Massachusetts, she just keeps making them for the holidays! Excellent!

    Soooooo I just made it tonight. I only made 1 medium sized so I cut all the ingredients in half (except the meat, because there’s never enough meat 😂). It came out almost perfect. (I didn’t pinch on one side and it broke open a little bit). Thank you so much for this!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    My folar came out very good Xmas Day
    First time
    The crust though was tearing off the bread in some spots Did I muss something or not add enough of something

    If you make enough for to two Folars, how can I save the 1/2 of the dough? Can it be frozen or refrigerated for another day?

    Why does my dough always looks dark when cooked??

      Maybe it browns to much. Cook.it for less time. Every open us different. Happy-go-lucky Portuguese cooking.
