That was a nice tour, haven't been to Canberra yet but wouldn't mind visiting eventually, thank you guys for taking the time, cheers from Paraguay, big thumbs up!
I recently went to Canberra and loved it. I'm from Sydney and I only saw Parliament House, War Memorial, Questacon etc through school trips. But there is amazing nature, great food, my favourite coffee beans everywhere and no traffic!
I think the debate has been raging for a while, but in the interests of social distancing we were all meant to walk one way. Not sure it’s happened in practise though! 😂 Thank you!
@@TheHassewells I lived in Griffith/Kingston for a year until Feb. Then, if including the wetlands, I'd be anti-clockwise and if just the southern parts could be in ether direction. (Now moved north and have to drive to the lake for that walk!)
Canberra is always cold as hell. If you do not like cold weather, do not enter into Canberra. It is like sitting on iceberg. Its always cold except couple of month in a year around January, Feb
A) dress for snow, has become a gem ,a tolerant gem ,& 2 hours to coast or snow, well presented police persons ,you can smoke, but not buy pot ,another of its idiosyncrasies,
I live in Wollongong and frequently visit Canberra. Such a great city - we're actually considering moving there in a few years. Been to all places you mentioned except for Mount Ainslie and the Botanic Gardens - so I guess I need to go there next trip. Love the Arboretum - so looking forward to watching it grow and develop over the next years/decades.
True. COVID + winter = boring/dull. Way more things to do in the warmer months here. Unless it’s MTB, hiking or farmers market - there isn’t much to do at the moment. Festivals, night markets, Xmas in July etc all cancelled for now.
Been stuck in this dump for 10 long years… It has good mountain bike trails and a good job - but that’s about it. Except rampant delusions of relevance and a chronic inferiority complex…
Two years ago i was in Canbie... I miss this city soo much
Hopefully you can come back again soon :)
I did my bachelor in AIHS in Barton on 2008, Hope one day I could back in this lovely Canberra again, love from Indonesia
Oh nice! Hope you can get back here sometime soon :)
Hello from sunny San Diego, CA, USA. I thoroughly enjoyed your scenic tour.

Its seems very peaceful
There are definitely plenty of peaceful places :)
I have visited Canberra in 2018, for a weeks.
The cool "pine coney things" are Banksia 😁
Jesse has a way with words doesn’t he? Haha!
Hey Hasslewells, fellow Canberrans here and new to the channel l. This was a lovely upload.
Liked and subbed
Yay! Nice to ‘meet’ you! And thanks 😊
Your editing is amazing. Marking on the view and some of the transitions well done. Hope U get more views
Thank you! This one was my first attempt at anything outside of music, so I’m glad it isn’t unwatchable! Haha
Nice video guys!! I've been keen to hit up Canberra for a while, and I reckon your list might come in handy!!
Thank you! A second video on things to do just outside of Canberra went live today too for some extra ideas :)
@@TheHassewells awesome!! I'll check it out!

There’s definitely more to Canberra than the school trip tour. Haha. Are your favourite coffee beans Ona by some chance?
@@TheHassewells Yes!
Aaah good taste ;) If you haven’t been to The Cupping Room, grab a coffee there next time. They treat those Ona beans right :)
Walk clockwise (only?) round the lake? Well, I didn't know that ....
Splendid video btw

The "walking clockwise" thing was only during the height of covid. Canberra was one of the safest place to be during the pandemic
You have the best voice for BTN (behind the news)
Haha! Promising new career for me perhaps?
@@TheHassewells Yup!
Going to canberra tomorrow from Campbeltown can't wait
Enjoy your time here!
Wishing Australian borders for international student will open soon. Its a lovely place
Fingers crossed!

I love living in the capital. Such a well made video! 😍
We do too! Thanks!

On the other hand if you love the cold, it’s paradise 😉⛄️
Nah, its BEAUTIFUL in spring, and even better in autumn
We're moving to Canberra next year. Filipino here. :)

Puffer jackets are part of the uniform. I hear you can grow your own plant- so I guess that solves the issue. haha!

Excellent taste you have ;)

But you stayed! Haha! I wasn’t born here, but I saw the error of my ways :p

Good video but Canberra looks boring.
Haha! That gave me a good belly laugh. There’s something to do everywhere if you look hard enough :)

That’s because it is dead boring
