Brother, this video is incredible! Great editing, great commentary, great jokes, and very intelligent insights. XYZ, you made this video that much more enjoyable. Well done men! Subbed to both of you! Hope to see many more collaborations!!
I believe one reason why the lake theme has that sped up section might be because of its location at the start of the game. I wouldn’t be surprised if they believed having another slow theme next to all of the tutorial feeling themes at the beginning would feel dull or bore the player. I totally get the issue with the overall context of the Pokémon behind the theme tho
lake theme is probably the best pokemon music of all time. It sounds nostalgic even though i never actually played pearl, let alone actually listen to any of the music in the games. I think whats weird is comparing the lake theme from bsdm, which while is sounds good, isnt really that great compare to the original. Now granted, im a sucker for sound fonts over instruments most of the time, so most of my bias lies there. But i feel like it just isnt that strong at the strong moments of the song, instead being more laid back in intensity, which probably works for the game, just isnt what i think about when i think about pokemon lake theme.
Awesome vid, i’d love to see you review the soundtrack for any of the Mother games, 2 or 3 especially, or maybe more pokemon at some point, Black and White specifically. I’m glad i subbed, this channel’s great!
Still surprised this guy hasn’t ranked every Undertale song yet (Deltarune, Team Fortress 2, or Omori yet too which is very surprising since they all have amazing soundtracks.)
just started playing pokemon platinum, not a more perfect time to upload. you should totally do more pokemon music, like from platinum or black/white. by the way, if you ever want to listen to each individual instrument on its own, as said at 4:31, you can download a rom of the game and put it into a program called vgmtrans, where you can obtain the midi if a specific song you want as well as a DLS or SF2 file, while is the soundfont of the track. you can then put it into fl studio and apply the DLS file and you will be able to listen to each individual instrument on its own. this mainly only works with DS games, but can sometimes work for gameboy or 3DS. there are other programs that "rip" the midi files for earlier systems.
Congrats on you first collab video in this channel, Mickey!! Great job!! Let’s go meet XYZ in person! Would love to go visit the Mother Land!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This video came out perfectly! It was so fun collabing with you and I can't wait to collab again in the very near future *wink wink*
You were swell as ducks!...

As my suggestion to you, "Charge and Clash" from Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey
Great vid but let's say hypothetically you did a review on the Hollow Knight OST?
You should do “BIG SHOT” from Deltarune
Good song choices!
