Good video, I’d had to seen what kind of deals I could have gotten on the snes games. Dude hade some good stuff, I’ve probably been watching a year or something like that. Keep up the good work
Thanks so much for the support!!! I actually chatted with that guy awhile off camera and while his prices were fair, they were just a bit too pricy for me this time
Love this series, the mentality on the collection is always cool. So hard to justify buying a new game now a days (basically spending $100 on a single game - grant it I did it for GOW: Ragnarok). Yard Sales, Thrift/Pawn/2nd Hand shops are king man, always a great time checking it out since you never know what you will come across. Sometimes you don't find much, but when it's a 1/2 off sale makes ya a little more motivated to pick out some stuff. Can't argue with a dollar game - no matter what it is. The Atari Lot is cool, I recently picked up an Atari 2600 and a Sega Master System. Having some issues with them, so looks like it will be a return to the 2nd hand store I got it from, but will exhaust all options before that, never owned either console before - very least I will try to buy the games that came with it and get money back on the consoles themselves. Even at $3 a piece, the PS4 games wouldn't be bad (obviously a little worse than the initial $1 a piece though lol). Cool to see PS1 games for $1, or any in the wild, no matter what they were. Not gonna lie, the final fantasy games would be tempting. Nice little pick up at the sale with all the Gamecube, SNES & NES stuff. Yu-Gi-Oh on the PS2 (as well as Forbidden Memories on PS1) was something I sunk so much time into. Love those games. I remember having a Lite Brite when I was a kid as well, awesome to see nostalgic things like that. I remember seeing a Creepy Crawlers Oven at a yard sale, and just for the nostalgia I was so tempted to pick it up. Another great video, and some awesome pick ups this time around dude. The thought process on stuff, you may pass on the stuff when it higher priced, only to come across it when it cheaper. Windwaker for gamecube was the example for me - Seen them on market place for $50+, then came across a CIB copy at a yard sale for $1. Patience in game hunting can truly be a virtue. Congrats on the success, and working towards 1700 (and then onward to 2k) games. Think my favorite pickup in this one would have to be YuGiOh for PS2, just for the memories and time I put into it. Cheers man, awesome watch as always. See you for the next one. #Roadto1k
Thanks so much Neil for the thoughtful comment and being a true Dabamaniac!!! You sound like me, loving the hunt and knowing the journey can be as fun as the destination! I've never owned a Master System either, so that sounds dope! There was SO MUCH that was tempting me at that sale haha! But at the end of the day, I know I'll just enjoy the game that much more when I find it ON THE CHEAP! And $1 for Windwaker is like an all-time score (and no spoilers, but episode 59 is going to be worth a watch if you like all-time scores haha) Thanks again, ooking forward to chatting on the next one! #roadto1k
Found 4 gamecube priced cheap at a thrift store but the discs were missing. Bummer. Bought 4 ds and one game cube and an anime dvd this week. It's slim picking on the gamecube in my area. Decide to sell my entire xbox, 360, and xbox 1 collection. Now I have a bunch of store credit for those game cube games but my stash is smaller. 😭😁
Sounds like you got some decent stuff at least, even if the disks were missing on those games, I would still call that a win because you can always try to piece it together again!
I have been watching your videos for a while now and yes I get the idea that you want to collect video games on the “cheap” but I notice that you never pickup any quality titles tho?!?! The days of finding $100 games in the wild for $2 are very few and far between, wtf is the point of having 2000, 5000, or 10k games if they are all Barbie and Pet Shop? You know you won’t even play them so why fill your shelf with them? How about you buy games that are GOOD, and FUN TO PLAY, and BUY THOSE! Isn’t that what collecting games is all about? Getting good fun games to play and put on your shelf? Cmon, enough with the snicklefritz titles already, and let’s start putting something respectable on that shelf!
First, thanks so much for the views and the comment! I think you make some really good points, but at the end of the day, like I always say, it's about the journey not the destination! So while I may not get a rare game every time, I have had a bunch of awesome adventures, met lots of cool people, and have even scored the rare game here and there "On The Cheap" ;) Believe it or not, plenty of the oddball titles I've picked up so far have actually gotten played as well - the Redken haircutting game on the Wii was the first one I put in when my friends came over for a game night haha But stay tuned, I know I have some scores coming up in the videos I need to edit that even a discerning collector like you will appreciate :)
@@ElDabstroyero thanks for the reply, I get you on the journey part, some of my favorite parts about collecting have been getting out there and seeing the world so I can see you’re points. Absolutely! So happy you took the time to drop a comment and thanks so much for the kind words! And no spoilers, but don't miss episode 59 whenever I get around to editing it! I think you'll definitely appreciate the pickups! ;)
